Built an entire (manufactured wood) deck as my stay at home Corona virus days project with everything coming from Home Depot. I watched online videos and looked at manufactures web pages to learn how to build a deck. Did not often make mistakes. I work very slow so this was a three month effort. Came out quite nice. Thanks HD for having everything in stock at my local store. Now its time to sit under the tree (I purchased the HD Hamptonbay line of patio furniture) and enjoy a glass of wine.
Got paint today and the team was super helpful. You can get a small “tester” paint for $6 / per small cup. I would suggest getting this before you buy a bunch of paint you don’t like. Took those, painted on the wall and brought back the color we wanted. Suggest thinking about if the room your painting has lots of traffic of not. The more glossy the more expensive. We got Behr and it’s scuff resistant.
I went into this Home Depot looking for an item. I walk down to the area of Pro Services. Three white men were standing behind the counter. I was standing right in front of them and neither addressed me or ask was there anything I need help looking for. I said excuse me. I address them politely and then one says well it might be on Aisle #3. So I look there wasn’t anyone in that area. I walked over to where this young black man named Lorenzo was working on the carpet Aisle. He asked, “Is there anything you need help with?” I told him what I was looking for and said let me look. He called for plumbing for almost 5 to 10 minutes, but no one came. Until a white lady said, “Oh he went home.” She was standing back there where the oven, refrigerator, washer, and dryer were there the entire time. She could have said something before then. People can be so rude. If you aren’t to be a team player there is no need for you to be in Customer Service. If you work in Customer Service and don’t know how to say, ” Ma’am or sir, is there anything that I can help you with?” There is no reason for you to be in Customer Service. Thanks, Mr. Lorenzo for your help today.
I got a key and some epoxy today. The key machine was down but an employee was quick to help to make one for me. It works perfectly. Well stocked and helpful staff.
