What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The food was great. It was fresh and flavorful. Today’s special included a potato soup, topped with bacon and cheese. It was highly peppered/seasoned, which my husband enjoyed. The chicken was flavorful and tender. My husband enjoyed an amazing burger and loaded potato. The staff was friendly and attentive. Only marking it down a star because for the price of the restaurant, we anticipated it to be a bit cleaner. The menus were sticky. And while the interior of the restaurant was incredibly dark, along the outer seating it was brighter and the sides of the booths were noticeable. We would go back if we are in the area again as the quality of the food was good.

  2. J Alexander is definitely our go-to spot for the finest prime rib anywhere!
Service is always excellent even to the smallest details like removing your straw wrappers from the table.
Don’t forget to have the amazing carrot cake for desert!

  3. We go to J. Alexander’s a few times a year and they never disappoint us! The food and service are always great! We tried their Deviled Eggs for the first time and we enjoyed them! I got the chicken platter and my husband got the ribs and both were delicious! I could go on and on about their carrot cake but I will just say…ORDER IT! This restaurant can get a little pricey very fast but it is a solid option if you’re not sure where to dine! You do need reservations, so be mindful of that.

  4. Looks like a very popular place, i was starving and got in at the bar. Service is exceptional, got my tea.
Ordered some shrimp, but did not expect pretty good size basket to arrive. It comes with two different sauces, one being cocktail sauce and half a lemon.
I also got the steak tacos and I must say they are pretty tasty. The meat was cooked medium, secured with lettuce, cheese, salsa, on flour tortillas. Smaller pieces of meat would have been nice, or use a knife i guess. On tacos. Nice ambience and decor here too.

  5. Brittany is one of the best servers ever! From the moment we walked in through our entire dining experience she was absolutely perfect! I am a coffee freak and this lovely lady steamed my creamer so my coffee would stay warm! Our food was delicious, warm and fresh…and yes, we had dessert! Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

We ordered the mixed grilled platter with yellow rice. It was so good. The pita and dip (zaatar?, sesame seeds and olive oil) was delicious. The other food being served looked good as well. We are definitely going back.

How haven’t we eaten here before!?! Highly recommended! The falafel was crunchy but not dry, and with great herb flavor. A fresh baked (not just heated, but baked!) bread and oil/herbs for dipping was served with our meal (sorry I kept eating so there’s no picture of our vegetarian plate). The labneh and zatar “pizza” was super tasty, too. We will return!

First time having Lebanese food, and I was not disappointed!!! The falafel appetizer was a little dry but good flavor. I ordered the Sidon Mixed grill entree and the Sujuk Kabob entree. Both did not disappoint. We also tried the Laziza (apple flavored), which is a soda. Pretty good. Also the Vimto, which tasted like a cross between creme soda with a hint of fruit punch. I hope I can come again in the future. The service works like this: you order at the counter, are given a number, you choose where to sit,and staff have to come find you. It is in my opinion that this should be changed. One, because your server doesn’t know who ordered what dish, so they just set it on the table or hope you tell them. Two, we told our server we didn’t need any more bread, but another server set one on our table without asking. I didn’t mind as it was delicious and warm!!! Our server was new I could tell, because he seemed nervous and looked out of place. The cashier has an overwhelming position, as she is taking orders, answering the phone, answering customer questions, and taking payments. The payment situation was weird. Some customers paid before seating, some afterwards. I think it would be easier for a first time customer like myself, if I can sit down, look at the menu, and decide what I want to eat, instead of standing near the counter trying not to take too long as a line is forming behind me. Also because your server knows you and a connection is made even if it is brief. It’s the little things sometimes …. This system works for fast food maybe and a place like Culver’s, where workers are not obligated to check in on your dining experience, but for a place like this, customers should get a little more personal attention. The manager did check in on us, which was appreciated. Maybe it was because I had a new server….anyway, like if you agree…

This was a very comfortable atmosphere. I liked that I could choose where I wanted to sit. The one thing I didn’t really like was that when you first go in your expecting a hostess to sit you but no you have to order your food and this being our first time there; there was no signage saying order first and noone said anything to us. So we had to figure that out after 3 to 4 mins looking at them. The food was amazing and the pita was so delicious comes out nice and hot and I was told it was unlimited.

Sometimes things just don’t taste the ‘freshest’, it’s a hit or miss. But you never know when it will be on point. This last visit the meat pies had more crunch and less meat. The baklava didn’t taste fresh. The second visit was a little more flavorful. Although the meat ball soup was still a miss. The half grille chicken was delish, the mini mix platter was ok.

Really tasty food! My husband and his family really liked the chicken paprikas. The fried pickle appetizer was good and the chicken chili was tasty. Nice Hungarian restaurant, will be back to try other staple menu items.

Had original hot dog – it was ok with lots of toppings. But I would prefer melted cheese on top and sausage to be bigger. Side pickles surprisingly were good, with sweet and spicy taste since had to try both.

The ABSOLUTE WORST food ever!!! Chili sauce had NO favor and the hot dogs taste like it’s 10 years old!! The bread was hard and stale! This was my first & LAST TIME!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE 🤢😤

Had questions of the craft beer. A manager came up to me, requested a few beers and later checked up to see if I liked it. Was super happy to find out I liked his top pick. Ordered chili dogs and fries they came out super quick and hot. He came back to ask us how the food was. Very attentive staff.

Food is still good. You have to go up to the counter to order. The pierogies were really good.
