What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. The Pine Club is usually one of the most recommended restaurants in Dayton. The food is good, but the overall experience is probably a little overrated.

They don’t do reservations, don’t accept credit cards, don’t have handicapped accessible restrooms, and the dining booth environment is cramped and a bit run down.

The food is good, but for me the overall dining experience isn’t really worth making frequent visits.

  2. If it gets better let me know where! The place was super clean and the bartender was awesome. My food was fantastic in fact my son said “best steak he’s ever had”. Can’t say enough good things.

  3. Amazing steak! Unlike most steakhouses with a la carte pricing, each meal here includes bread, a small house salad, potato, and stewed tomatoes. The house salad is simple with iceburg lettuce and carrots, but the house dressing is what makes it delicious!
The steak itself was tender and cooked as requested. Both the baked potato and the mashed potatoes were creamy and seasoned well. While I don’t typically eat stewed tomatoes, I really liked them here and recommend trying them.
    A few tips:
    – they don’t accept reservations, so arrive at opening for a minimal wait
    – cash only
    – no fountain drinks so if you are a pop drinker, it is cans only

  4. I came to Pine Club for my Birthday dinner and everything was perfect! I own a restaurant so I always appreciate an overall great experience! I ordered the heavy cut filet and it was cooked perfectly and we had Holly White as a waitress and she was amazing!! Five stars all around! 👏🏼👏🏼

  5. We visited the Pine Club for our first time last night. We arrived around 6 and it was an hour wait. The bar is a decent size with a vast drink menu. I had the Pine Cabernet and for $10 it was good. There are very generous on the pours as well. I have heard great things about their steaks and I would give my filet a thumbs up. It was a tad under cooked but not anything to complain about. Teresa was our server and she did a great job. She mentioned she had worked there for 22 years and was very kind about questioning the chef regarding gluten allergy. I would recommend they step up there side game. The garlic potatoes were very good. All in all we had a good experience. It’s awesome they include a whole meal (salad, side, and meat) in the price. The salad didn’t have much for toppings.

It very dim light so don’t worry about getting fancy.

Well done Pine Club. I would recommend people to try your establishment.

Fantastic brunch spot in Dayton! We enjoyed the deviled eggs for an appetizer which was followed by the shrimp and grits, eggs Benedict, and hangover bowl. These paired well with a mimosa. Everything was tasty and the perfect volume. Staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting Dayton!

I had never been to Lily’s before and it impressed me right from the jump. The staff was friendly and helpful and possibly great suggestions on the menu. We sat outside in the back and took in the scenery on a lovely evening. You feel like you’re in a hidden garden back there. The wine selection was good and the food was to die for. I will definitely go back sometime whenever I’m back in the Oregon District of Dayton.

Had a lovely valentine’s dinner! Chef Don definitely delivers. Had the special valentine’s menu with the addition of the deviled eggs from the regular menu. Absolutely recommend. The salmon was perfect, the short ribs were tender. The scallops were delicious. Eggs were so VERY smooth and flavorful. We did, however, prefer the strawberry mousse over the eclair. So light and fresh!

I had always had great things about Lily’s and I finally had a chance to confirm they were true! Came here with a couple of friends and had quick friendly service and was quickly seated. I started off with a Kentucky coast, and I was hesitant about the passion fruit and bourbon combination but really it came together for a very smooth drink! Next I had the Grillades and Grits and it was absolutely delicious. Tender meat that nearly fell apart over top of cheesy grits just hit the spot. And all together reasonably priced so it didn’t break the bank. I would certainly recommend!

Had a wonderful delicious night with the family here. I had the shrimp and grits which was mild and perfect for not being too hungry. Their fried chicken and pork belly Mac n’ cheese were favorites at the table. Their special dessert was a homemade S’more with bourbon caramel sauce where everything but the chocolate bar was made in-house. We will be going back.

Such a lovely place to go to for a special event. If you want a delicious meal with a fine dining experience, this is the place. I have zero complaints for any of the food we got. It is pricey but the price is matched by the food quality and quantity. The picture of the steak I took is just a small portion of the entire steak and just about all I could eat from getting so full on everything else. The staff was very attentive, we had Jacob as our server and he was great! Our steaks were perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. The butters that they give you with the bread are divine. We got the smaller seafood tower and it was beautiful but that beauty didn’t take away from the delicious flavor. The pork belly starter melted in your mouth with an explosion of flavor. All of the sides were amazing, the mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy. The mashed potatoes had the perfect consistency and the mushroom were delicious. We all really enjoyed our desserts as well. Overall we had a great experience.

We went there on a Saturday night. Had a great experience the second we walked in. Everyone was really polite. Their drink menu was nice and had a lot of options. They made a great lemonade mocktail. We had a very tasty tuna starter. I ordered the tomahawk steak and lobster with their potatoes which was delicious. No complaints on the food or drinks. Can’t wait to go back 10/10

This was one place I was looking forward to trying on my trip to Ohio. My best friend was turning 40, and they chose this venue for a birthday dinner. We got all dressed up, got there on time and were promptly greeted and seated at a large booth. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful decor. The second thing I noticed was how crowded and loud it was. I was expecting a place with a certain level of intimacy that normally comes with fine dining. This was not that. You’ll sit less than an arm’s length away from neighbors, it was packed like sardines. It was so loud I could not hear my friend. The food took an hour to come to our table, and my food was lukewarm. The server was amazing and very apologetic about the time it took for our food to arrive. The manager sent a dessert for my friend and I to share. Overall, I was very underwhelmed here, the food was not worth the price nor the time it took to get it. I also cannot say I’d give it a second chance, which is rare for me.

Come in during a Tuesday they use up an entire section of menu to promote tomahawk Tuesday for a two dinner, it’s a price fixed offer that is pretty decent at 150 currently. Definitely a date night place that offers well made steaks, and the ambiance is also nice if not a little muted and simple. Don’t even kid yourself plan to spend about $100 per head easily.

I have traveled to multiple cities in my professional work and ate at many nice places. Fleming’s is very high on a short list of stellar places to eat. The manager Kate and server Evan made our 28th anniversay meal an amazing experience and exceptional value for the price. My faith has been restored with amazing customer service post pandemic. Thank you for your attention to details and tasty courses. Can’t wait until we eat again!
