  1. I got a wisdom tooth pulled after finding out the gums around it were infected. Everyone there was awesome in terms of explaining things clearly and making me feel comfortable. Although some pain was inevitable, the dentist and his assistant did everything he could to eliminate as much discomfort as possible. Easiest tooth extraction I’ve ever had. Considering going back for routine cleanings as well!

  2. This is an awesome emergency and general dental office. An old orthodontic wire came loose and started cutting my mouth. I couldn’t imagine waiting even a day to get in somewhere to fix it.

    Google reviews never lets me down. We called Emergency Dental of COS based on other testimonials and they were able to see me the same evening. Doctor Owen removed the broken wire and the sweet receptionist referred me to an orthodontist who would be able to complete the full repair.

    Integrity, honesty, and empathy are important qualities I look for in a dentist. No need to look anywhere else. I am so grateful for their help and will come back for my regular dental needs!

  3. **INJURY FROM DENTIST** I debated for over a week before leaving this review because I felt so conflicted, but I feel the need to warn others. My friend recommended this place after a positive experience with Dr.Dyer, but unfortunately I was unable to get him as a dentist. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to get me in quickly and great with communication in regards to dental work being done and billing. They were so nice that I truly feel bad for what happened next. The dentist either dropped the dental tool (or the tool malfunctioned) but it hit the back of my throat (no where near my teeth) leaving me with a huge wound that required stitches. I went in for fillings and came out unable to eat for 10 days. The timing couldn’t be worse as I immediately went out of state for work. Furthermore, I’m still in pain and the teeth that were worked on are even more sensitive than when I went in. As someone who is already anxious to visit the dentist, this experience has truly traumatized me. I understand dropping of the tool was a genuine mistake and had that not happened you’d be reading a 5 star review today. However, there isn’t room for mistakes when you’re visiting a medical professional. I may go back (only for a follow up because I can’t get an appointment anywhere else quickly) but I’m hesitant to continue any future dental work with this office. Especially if it involves a drill tool. Maybe ask for Dr. Dyer specifically if you choose to make an appointment.

  4. Absolutely the best place to go to for an Emergency. The staff get you in quickly and are very kind. I had to have an extraction of a very rotten and broken tooth. I’ve previously had extractions of teeth where the dentist had a lot more to grip onto and they still ended up bonking something else trying to get the tooth out and weren’t very courteous to the rest of my teeth. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to get my mangled tooth out of my mouth quite easily and without hurting me or any other teeth in my mouth. This was my second trip to this ER and my first trip, I was also taken care of quite well.

  5. Dr. Dyer and his staff were great! They were understanding and helpful. Dr. Dyer went above and beyond taking his time explaining things to me. I felt welcome and cared for. I highly recommend Emergency Dental of Colorado Springs.

    I’ve always been afraid of going to the dentist from previous bad experiences, but Kissing Camels has completely changed that for me. They do everything they can to make sure you are comfortable. They have a “comfort menu” that you can select from to help make you feel most comfortable like blankets and headphones, they also have mounted tv’s on the ceiling that you can watch to help keep your mind busy. Not to mention everyone in the office is so friendly, gentle, and caring ! The best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist , and has helped me stay consistent in going in ever 6 months for my routine cleanings. Thanks Kissing Camels for all you do in helping people be healthy and love their smiles !

    I walked in as a non- patient with a dental emergency. Very quickly they got me in a chair as a new patient. This office an extremely well oiled machine…. Except it is not a machine, it is many compassionate people who are the very best at their professions, from the front desk and all the way through.. they are fantastic. I live close by so the office is convenient…. But no matter where you live in the Springs, make Kissing Camels your dentist. It will be worth your travel!

    I dreaded going to the Dentist but my last visit with Vanessa was amazing! She is so gentle and considerate of her patients. Before getting started Vanessa asked me if there where any areas that are particularly sensitive? I told her where and she was careful not to poke or scrape too hard there. This was the smoothest cleaning I’ve ever had and I requested she be my regular hygienist. Get Vanessa a raise and hold onto her! She makes clients want to come back.

I had a filling as well that was quick and the dentist was very therapeutic walking me through the numbing process. They take Tricare which is awesome for those associated with the military!     In the absence of Dr. Keen, quality in service at my last appointment was not the same. I was surprised to learn after my visit (from someone outside the office) that Dr. Keen was no longer practicing at South Springs Dental. Dr. Keen will be greatly missed there, and I wish her the best at her new location, The Dental Loft.
