What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. My mother had a wonderful experience at Anchorage Midtown Dental. They had advanced equipment, were very clear with explanations and they made my mom feel like she was in good professional hands. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Thank you!

  2. Like many folks, I’m super busy, so to take the time to write a review means a place is either super bad or super great. This place is SUPER GREAT! ALL of the staff is friendly, patient, and kind. Dr. Burke is honest and does a great job of explaining what’s going on while she’s doing it. They also have Pandora and wonderful TVs in the rooms that help you relax. When I had my bridge done, they had a terrific gizmo I’d never seen like a whole mouth dam that allowed me to breathe & chill while they worked on the area in question. They also gave me my own lip balm during the procedure to keep my lips happy too. They also offer Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) so if you are nervous, for a small extra fee, they will use this to help with that.
EMILY, the hygienist, is SO AWESOME! She is quiet, kind, funny, and GENTLE! She takes her time, notices when she’s in a sensitive area, and proceeds with caution. She played music I liked and made sure to always ask how I was doing. Honestly, she is the best hygienist I’ve ever had.

The only drawback here is that you have to pay in full for things before scheduling. My scaling/root planing was $1600 for the whole mouth – even breaking it into 2 payments would’ve been nice.

Either way – they spoil their patients – I don’t know if I COULD go anywhere else now! 🙂

  3. Having worked in the field, I know how difficult it is to run a smooth patient experience with the current demand for care and resources available. They could not have done a more perfect job from the time I called for my appointment and throughout the entire appointment. The assistant and Dentist were both great!

  4. By far the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental clinic. Came in for my first examination, which was about two hours, long, very thorough. They really took their time to explain everything. Front desk was phenomenal, they really made sure that my insurance covered what it needed to be covered, and co-pay was explained to me prior to being seen. After my examination is summary of my dental plan was gone over with me, and I was able to see the cost of what my insurance covered and what I owed for my next visit, and I was able to set my next appointment all in one city. I came back for cleaning, I forgot my dental hygienist name, but she was wonderful, she really took her time to clean my teeth, and also make sure that I was able to pick up my son on time. Very conscientious and respectful with my time. She took her time to educate me on how to properly brush and floss, my teeth, she also made sure that I was pleased with the cleaning that was done. I would recommend anyone looking for a dental clinic that is, efficient clean, and puts their patients first.

Fast and super friendly service. Sat down and had an eval with extraction in less than an hour. Had all my new insurance dialed in and made me feel very welcomed. Super professional dentist and his staff from the stairs to the chair it was a wonderful experience for what it was actually.

I have always been afraid of the dentist. The people at Family First Dentistry are all so kind.I see Samantha for my teeth cleaning. She is very gentle. Dr. Harr is great…I’m in the process of getting an implant and he has been great. Tee has walked me the the process step by step so I know what to expect. So happy to have found them.😊

This is by far the best dentist’s office I’ve ever visited. Every single person I interacted with was genuinely pleased to work with me and my girls. They take their time to complete all tasks. They are always able to fit all of us into one appointment. This is fantastic and saves me time. I would refer anyone in the area to this office!

I love Family First Dentistry. My appointments always start on time and the office is easy to communicate with. Candace is 100%, hands down the BEST hygienist and one of the best people you’ll meet ever. Great team, would recommend.

This dental-phobic patient was very happy with my service for a crown today. My dentist was great…never felt the injection, or the dental work. The assistants were fantastic, and I was particularly impressed with the assistant who was training a new assistant (student maybe?)… so patient and supportive, and the trainee was wonderful as well. The blanket and neck pillow were a GAME CHANGER! I look forward to this gang taking care of all my dental needs!

I recently moved to Anchorage and was overdue for a dental appointment. South Anchorage Dental Center was closest to me and I was lucky to get an open appointment the next day. I was greeted by some nice secretaries that helped me through some of the paperwork I was struggling to understand. I could tell that they had a great team synergy going on. The office was well decorated with paintings of Alaskan wildlife. I love art so that made a great impression for me. My dentist named Brock spoke with me briefly and answered all my concerns. He made me feel comfortable right away with his knowledgable answers. Plus his beard is legit 🙂 A hygienist named Maya cleaned my teeth. She was passionate about her work and talked to me about how bacteria is always at work in our mouths. I could tell she loved her job and that made all the difference to me. She talked me through each stage in the clean up process which I appreciated. My number one thing I wanted the most was to feel comfortable. I felt uneasy about finding a new dentist. My worries disappeared as soon as I arrived and Maya just made my day. I felt like I got more out of my visit than just a teeth cleaning. Thank you ☺️

Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I shy away from dentists but not here! Everyone makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I brought my 3 year old here for his first dentist appointment and even he was relaxed to the point that his appointment went smooth throughout the duration of our visit. The dentists were all patient and kind to us both. 10 out of 10! I’m very glad to have been recommended here by a close relative!

The front desk, dental assistants and Dr. Smith were all super nice!! I have found my dental clinic! **I went in for wisdom tooth extraction and they were amazing. I have had a bad encounter at another clinic, and always dreaded the dentist. Thanks to this office, I won’t be so anxious next time I need to go in**

They don’t work with you on payments like they say, you can pay 5000 dollars on a few teeth with a total of 7000, and they will expect you to get that 2000 within 2 week and will refuse to give you permanents until you do. The temp caps they do give you are super thin and will break or come off with 72 hrs then they charge again just to fix what they messed up. The have an emergency dental line that they rarely answer and if the do answer it the won’t do anything but schedule you a appointment, so if you need emergency dental don’t bother, you won’t actually get emergency treatment. Be careful with root canals also, my gum was drilled to the bone, mouth pas blue and purple for 2 months and now my gums had been so damaged they bleed and it caused a gum disease I never had until going here. And if you plan on the people in the office to have respect good luck. The only decent one in there is carol I hope they give her a raise some day she deserves it. Once my treatments are complete I will NEVER come back here. You can see in the photos this poorly made cap is thinner than paper
