  1. We love Wilm NC for many years and looking to retire, had appointments at all the local communities. Why DelWebb in Riverlights wasn’t on our hit list, I don’t remember but since we were put up for days with another community in the downtown Wilm, thought why not check it out, we are so closeby. Then we kept comparing the other communities to DelWebb homes and RL amenities, and nothing else was even close to comparison. Bill at DelWebb is always informative and readily available for questions as our house went through the building stage with weekly email updates from the Field Manager. Looking forward to many years here in Wilm NC! and No I haven’t smelled any foul odors like Scotto lol

  2. We love our community of Del Webb Riverlights. Beautiful Amenities Center with great activities to choose from. We enjoy Pickleball and Bocce and Swimming besides exploring Wilmington. Come take a tour ask for Bill Knott a great sales consultant. You’ll be glad you did.

  3. The Del Webb community is great. the amenity center is first rate. the area is very nice and easy to get around and get to shopping.

  4. We have only lived in the community for 2 1/2 weeks. So far, everyone has been extremely friendly and welcoming. We love the amenities and the safe environment the community provides. The only change that we would personally like to see modified is to be able to have more than four guest passes to the pool. This makes it difficult (impossible) to have our son, a family of six, join us at the same time. We look forward to meeting our many neighbors and taking part in all of the activities offered here!.

  5. Love it here. So many things to do. Neighbors are all happily retired, living the dream.

I want to thank Haley, Charity, Christine and Diane for giving my moms home the personal touch! Haley seems born for Activities Director! She is warm, funny, gets to know the residents, LOVE her! Thank you Haley for all of your efforts ❤️Christine was the first person we met and made the place seem real… so easy to like! And Charity, thank you for making my mom feel like she is safe at Morningside and checking on her. Thank you for recognizing her stroke and INSISTING we go to the ER even when symptoms were gone when I arrived. 🙏🏻My mom has terrible asthma and Morningside had ALWAYS helped me get what we need to get her to her injections. Diane, thank you for making my mom feel so comfortable on her van rides! She is normally a very nervous passenger. But, she is super comfortable w you. And for helping her in so many other ways when needed. Thank you everyone. And, thanks for all the fun events!

We have had an excellent experience with every member of the Morningside Staff as we needed to provide our loved one with assisted living. The residence is clean and she is well cared for with personal, attentive, and cheerful attention to her needs. We are very grateful to have found Morningside!

In December of 2020 my father was diagnosed with stage iv brain cancer and given a year to live with surgery and treatment. Thankfully he had a successful surgery but unfortunately he was left somewhat impaired from the cancer and treatment. When he returned home after rehab readjusting was very difficult for him and my mother, though she really wanted to take care of him it was just too much for her. Morningside was the solution we needed. Before my father moved in I was worried he would feel abandoned, lonely and out of place but I soon found out those concerns were very much mistaken. When I visited him at Morningside I found the staff to be cheerful and helpful, my father always had a big smile on his face when an aide would pop in to check on him and he would invariably tell them they were “the best”, which I’m sure he meant every time but he probably forgot there were a lot of “the bests” working at Morningside. The residents were very welcoming to him even though the cancer left him difficult to understand. He was always telling me about some new friend or other he had made at dinner. It saddened me greatly that he wasn’t able to live in his home any longer but after some first month jitters I was relieved that we had found a new home and community for him at Morningside. I know from the many heartfelt conversations I shared with the staff that everyone there genuinely cared for my father. There were quite a few staff who told me with sincere affection he was “their baby.” The ladies who lived on his hall always had the kindest words of support for us, which made me feel a little better in a very hard time and were much appreciated. With no exaggeration the last year and 4 months has been the most difficult period of my life, it goes without saying that my father’s passing has been a very sad time for me but I’m also sad to move on from all of you at Morningside. Its been a long hard year and a half since my father was diagnosed, my most sincere thanks to Morningside for making it a little friendlier, a little more comfortable, a little safer and most of all for making my father and family feel at home in your community. Best Wishes and Happy Trails.

This Assisted Living facility is beautifully designed around an inner courtyard garden. There’s an abundance of activities for residents to choose from. Staff members are kind and helpful. My Mother was there for almost a year.

My aunt came to Morningside 2 years ago. Initially things seem to go well, then she began to say people were coming into her room and taking things. I decided to install a camera in her room to keep an eye on her. One week later I caught an employee walking into her room when she was at lunch snooping around in her things. This was reported and employee was fired. Most recent situation, another employee (maintenance) was caught saying inappropriate things to her and touching her. Again this was obviously more serious and police was involved, employee fired and investigation still happening. This leaves alot to be said. I am constantly watching everything since I really don’t feel confident that my aunt is safe. Although the Director did act immediately I feel more needs to be done on their part to ensure that the vulnerable residents that are under their care are safe from all these predators out there.

Horrible workplace. I was hired as an activity director. And I was blindsided on my first day when I was told everyone was quitting. Very unorganized. I was set up for failure before I started. The so called activity room I was supposed to work from had absolutely nothing to work with. I had no tools or resources to do my job. Instead I was doing jobs that weren’t mine such as giving tours to a place I didn’t know or had never seen a room myself. The final breaking point was Christmas at this place. Too long to post. But the management from the home office has no idea of what takes place there. They allow a woman to come in and do food delivery’s for the residents and she is charging them an arm and leg. So why are the employees not doing it?? This woman has been ripping them off for years. I did make a report but I’m sure if fell on deaf ears. These elderly people are getting ripped off I hope the right person reads this

Horrible! The staff is horrible, they have had roach infestations. A resident was not attended to and wandered off and it was not a happy ending! Do not leave your love ones here!!!!

My father-in-law was a resident at Lake Shore for almost 6 years. We have never regretted the decision to move him there. The staff are kind, caring and attentive to the residents. They know their names and a little something about each of them. We always felt like he was in good, safe hands. The meals and selection was always great, the cleaning crew is amazing and always very sweet to him. The activities are good and a good verity. We were very pleased with how they handled the covid pandemic. The management team always keep us informed when necessary and always respectful. It was a perfect fit for us and we believe it could be for others as well. Well worth checking out. Thank you Lake Shore Commons for all you have done to help our family!

I gave a 4 as opposed to a 5 because I am not a resident; as yet. I did view the property and got all the information I needed to enable me to make a comfortable and smart decision. The marketing manager was the key to those feelings; knowledgeable, patient, informative. Thus far in my experience of searching out retirement communities, Lake Shore has been up there at the top. I interface with about 10 residents at Lake Commons on Sundays and my perception is one of relaxed and pleased residents.

My dad lives here & really likes it. I’m very impressed w/ the staff, environment, cleanliness, care, & amenities available to him. Even I could enjoy living here myself. That’s the real test of assurance. I really enjoy the time I spend visiting him here.
