What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Visited shelter dogs and staff this afternoon . Haven’t been down there since my late partner passed . It is wheelchair Accesible and a good environment for the dogs in residence , people often ask when will I get a new service dog the answer is never … my partner was amazing more than I could have asked for ,I might eventually adopt one but not a service dog . My partner is in an urn on the mantle till I die and we once again become a team . I am still trying to be the human my partner believes I am .

  2. They are such a blessing! Ruth was so nice and helpful! Now we can rest easy that our dog has a good home where he can run.

  3. We adopted our Izzie from the ANNA shelter, and we couldn’t have been happier with their service, their expertise and their huge hearts. We are currently seeking a buddy for her, and ANNA is our primary source. We cannot recommend them enough.

  4. Just wanted to put it out there that I am kind of disappointed in the A.N.N.A shelter. I have had awesome experience in the past. I have adopted a dog, a cat, even a rabbit from there. However, back in November we adopted 3 Guinea pigs from there. We were told that they were all males and 2 years old. The one did not look that old. We have had Guinea pigs before and always started off at a younger age. Two may have been but not the one. Then over a couple of weeks the one started getting aggressive with the others. So we had to separate them. Now for the straw that finally broke the camel’s back. Yesterday we came home and found out that the one was not even a male at all. She had 2 babies. Needless to say I am very unhappy. We have tried several times to contact and take a couple back to the shelter and it has got us no where. They want us to have a cage. Cages are expensive and to buy a cage just to give it away is ridiculous.

  5. They’re doing the best they can. If you’re visiting make sure you’re going to the correct location. Please make sure you get to hold the pet you’re adopting before you adopt it… Feel for lumps and bumps and just to see maybe how friendly they are. If you’re going to the main shelter it’s always insane and that’s mostly a good thing lots of people there to adopt. We just adopted a wonderful cat from there. Make sure you get all the information about the animal that chooses you! ❤️ Our baby has a heart murmur and cancer and we love her dearly but it just would have been good to know that beforehand to be prepared.

I didn’t actually go, but I communicated with them about a dog I was interested in adopting. They responded to my message promptly. I greatly appreciate their candor. I explained what my requirements are, and they were refreshingly frank about why that particular dog would not suit me. It’s good to know that they are more concerned for her well being than just putting her in any home. I applaud their work ethic and dedication to their animal’s welfare. ❤️

Fairly quick service! Had to put my dog down and had them cremation him. Was told 7-10 days before being able to get the ashes, and they called me 3 days after to let me know I was able to pick up the ashes then!

I found a cat at my door in 3 ° weather. I fostered him through Orphan Angel’s..they provided neutering, shots, deworming as well as tape worm medication, at no cost to me. However, we failed fostering and now Oliver has his forever home!

This place is truly one of a kind. I’ve never been to a pet shelter where the cats are free roaming and I absolutely love it. The cats are all friendly and happy and you can tell the staff all really love what they do and care for the animals. I got a kitten from there and she is the greatest. She came from a great foster. She’s so friendly, playful and social. I’ve never before had a cat so friendly with everyone and so carefree.
