  1. We adopted Memphis now Archie on February 12 this year. Archie is a two year old pup who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He was a little shy his first day home. But he has blossomed in just a couple of weeks into such a cuddly, happy, sweet, and loving family member. We are SO in love with him and couldn’t imagine our lives without him. Thank you to Animal House Shelter for all the amazing work you do everyday. It is evident that they truly love their animals & want them to go to a home where they will thrive. The whole process was smooth and I completely recommend adopting/fostering with them if you’re able.

  2. I adopted Leena from here in January of 2022. We decided to keep her adoption name and she was very shy at first but now she loves to meow all day long. Her favorite time to meow is at night when we’re trying to sleep. But she is a very good cat and doesn’t cause any trouble. Love her

  3. We had an amazing experience with the Animal House Shelter! They made sure all our questions were answered and really took the time with us to find the perfect match. Patch (now Colby) has been nothing but amazing for us! Definitely recommend and will be returning for any future adoptions.

  4. 3 Reasons Why I recommend this Shelter:

    -FAST RESPONSE TIME: I submitted my application and was approved that very day. I also called with some questions and able to schedule an appointment that very weekend!

    -KNOWLEDGABLE & KIND STAFF: The staff was not only kind but also highly knowledgeable. You get to spend time with your furry friend in the play yard before you adopt them! Any questions they have an answer and are very thorough.

    -POST-ADOPTION PROCEDURE: I was given a breakdown, timeline and records of my pups medical background as well as what she would be needing in the following weeks. They let us know that if she needed any extra medication that they would provide it at no extra fee within the first month of adoption.

    Overall I will recommend this shelter to anyone and everyone! My family and I are having so much fun with our newest member 😀

  5. We are so thankful for the staff at this shelter. They are quick to answer, very efficient, and driven with care in making sure they not only help their animals find a home, but that they go to a home that is a good match. The process was streamlined, made sense, and provided a quick turn around to adding another furry addition to our family.

    They are super informative, very aware of the background of their animals and their individual needs. We appreciate them being upfront and how organized their process was.

    We now just hit our one month with our new dog, Luna and we could not be happier. They also provide a lot of “after adoption” info and make sure you are informed of what to expect.

    Thank you for making this experience so pleasant and streamlined.

    Was in town for a conference, and made a stop to visit the Catcade, which ended up being the highlight of my trip to Chicago! The cat lounge space was super clean and well maintained. The cats were all wonderful, cute, and the kittens kept everyone entertained. None of the cats appeared/acted stressed out – they have enough space and places to nap undisturbed, and the staff manages the size of groups and rules for interacting with cats well so the cats aren’t overwhelmed, which isn’t always the case at other cat “cafes.” Great spot to hang out with adoptable cats!!

    Love it. There have a lot of puffy cat. They are all cute my hearts. One hour feels like a minute. All of the cats look like having a good take care. Their hair are so puffy and bright. Moreover, they have a lot of kittens. They are curious about everything and sleeping than playing. If you have a bad day, here can help you feeling better. If need cat to be your pet, you can ask them to adopt.

    Best place ever! Arcade concept is so cute even though you’ll be too busy playing with the kittens to care about playing them. It was so clean and didn’t smell at all like cats or even stir up my allergies. Cats are so friendly that even dog people will be swayed to the feline side. 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 Be sure to get reservations as this place books up fast even during the weekdays.

    I was lucky enough to be at the Catcade on opening day, and have been many times in the years since. Chris & Shelly are incredible and sassy and care so deeply for the cats and the work they do, and the other staff & volunteers are outstanding. Can’t recommend this place highly enough – but make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION! Also their shirts & sweatpants are so comfortable and cute, how do they do it??

    This place is absolutely amazing not only did they let me adopt my one yr old cat Mr Tiramisu 48 hours after completing the documents but they also gave me so many KONG cat toys and cat food my cat took two days to get used to our home he finally peed on the second night and knows to use his litter❤️staff was so friendly that if I was to adopt again I would go back🥰

    This was Dragon Night, now she goes by the name Sonja. She was very skittish at first and took sometime but she is slowly getting used to her new home. She is such a cutie all she wants is cuddles and endless head scratches! Everyone here are super nice and sweet. They gave her some treats and brushes when adopting. Over all the staff where really helpful. Just know that if you decide you want to adopt be sure to bring your own crate ,otherwise they will let you purchase a box that you will able to take your new friend home!
