I visited a week ago just looking, not intending to get another kitten just yet though I did want one, and found an adorable little baby whom I couldn’t resist. I was allowed to hold him and say hello and getting that one-on-one interaction was really special to me. The adoption process was quick and painless, and they even gave me a nice mesh carrier for $10, and included a bag of food, litter, and a blanket and toys with the adoption, as well as a microchip. The woman assisting me in adopting my new kitty was so sweet, very informative and helpful. I heavily recommend getting your cat from here, they treat their animals well and know how to care for them. They’re very open about any potential pre-existing health conditions or concerns your new baby may have. The facilities are SUPER CLEAN and well kept. They treat all the animals there with lots of love and kindness and they offer many perks when adopting to make sure you have everything you need for your new baby right out the door. I wasn’t sure what new fur baby I was going to go home with, but I was greeted by the most social and vocal kitten I’ve ever met! I’m so happy to have adopted! They answered any questions I had and gave me some freebies to help take care of my new cat. The ultimate test of the a shelter is how well the animals are cared for and you could tell how much love was put into their care: food was always filled, litter always clean, water always fresh. She is a really good Dog.By Terry Spencer (a month ago)Pet Alliance was wonderful. Thanks to my dog’s barking, I noticed a tiny starving kitten with a ragged ribbon around its neck. Someone came in my fence and dumped the kitten in my screened porch. People think they can just throw away animals so I guess they thought I’d care for it because I take care of some older abandoned cats that were left behind many years ago by some unkind people. Well, I fed, cleaned, litter trained and played with him for 7 weeks until he was healthy enough to be adopted and then immediately called Pet Alliance in Sanford. Morgan was wonderful, she took care of everything when I arrived. Morgan absolutely understood that because I’m in my late 70s, I can’t keep a kitten when I’m just trying to outlive the animals I already have because no one will take care of them like I do. I know she is an animal lover and I know she will find a loving home for sweet little baby boy kitten. I have used Kelli for training for my puppy and I now have a very well behaved and trained dog now. I also go here for grooming with Rashell and she is perfection. I’ve even gotten compliments from an Olympic groomer on how great she is. Michelle at the register is always so helpful and sweet too. Luna is so excited for each class as Kelli brings amazing enthusiasm and knowledge on how to best get your dog to learn. She goes through many examples provides unique tips and tricks and always asks if there are any questions. Luna just graduated from the advanced class with her canine good citizen certification and we couldn’t have done it without Kelli’s training. I can not recommend her enough. I went there for Halloween event. Went there to take my son to do something. First thing I said was we not adopting no animals. Staff were so nice and friendly. Also they were very patient with all the people looking for animals. Me, I walk by a cage and felt a paw tapping me. Rest Is history. Now she is added to the fur family at home.
I have been to this place over a dozen times and I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone there is so helpful and kind. All animals deserve a good home. I adopted my cat from there in July and the volunteer who helped us was so sweet and gave us so much information on him. She explained everything about him and about FIV (he is positive). You can tell they really care about the animals in their care.
I got my dog just a few days ago, and when I say the staff went above and beyond I cannot emphasize it enough. I was looking to adopt a dog to become a service dog. I fell in love with one dog and wanted to have my trainer come and take a look. There was a mix up and the dog went to the clinic but the staff was so helpful and let us take her out for observation with the trainer. The behaviorist came and spoke to us and enough offered suggestions of other dogs that she thought would do well as a scent trained dog. Everyone was so kind and caring along the way.
They always offer specials, they keep you very informed, they give you a good bag and tips for first time pet owners. They really go over the top to help you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the staff members who helped me (I wish I would have remembered their names). They were able to find 2 great animals a wonderful home.

Sweet Potatoe is our new family member thanks to the fine folks at the Orange County Animal rescue. They were running a start of the year special so for $20 you get a dog that is chipped, fed, and proper healthcare. The staff was all very sweet and seem to love the animals. Thanks to the team for making this so easy.

Big dogs breed restrictions
If you are renting a house make sure your landlord knows what type of dog you are getting. Most landlords don’t want specific breeds do to there home insurance giving them a hard time. Which is illegal if you got him to become an ESA pet or service dog. If you have the patience to fight your landlord in court go ahead.
If you own your own home than you have no issues.
I have to give my pet back to them. I could not find a rescue in time. I will surrendering on the first of March. My family is distraught. I’ll miss you Shoku.
I recently lost my kitty of 12 years and my family and I were looking for a new cat. I searched their website and saw a cat I was interested in. I had never been there before and everyone that I encountered was friendly and answered all my questions. Ended up with a new cat…❤️❤️
