What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I really enjoyed Mimi’s Cafe this time prior to the first time we went three years ago I vowed I would never go back and try them again but with insistence of my son we did. I was very happy with the service the quality of the food the portion size the overall experience was great. Big turnaround compared to my first time going there three years ago we’ll be going back.

  2. First time here for breakfast with a friend. We arrived about 9:30 am and there were several people waiting to be seated. We were told it would be about 15-20 minutes. There were definitely empty tables, so it must have been a staffing issue that day??? We decided to go ahead and wait and were seated in about 10 minutes.
The staff member who was relieving the hostess for her break was very accommodating when we asked to switch from a table to a booth and that was much appreciated.
Our server came promptly and we placed our orders. It did take quite awhile to have cream for coffee brought to our table. It also took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered. The food was ok but not on par with the price point. My potatoes were dry and cold. And eggs were nothing special. Portion size was okay.
The restaurant is charming, staff was good, food ok, prices a bit high for breakfast ($16-$18) for French toast dishes. (About$14 for egg dishes)

  3. Took the family out for breakfast on Sunday. We were seated in less than 5 minutes and we had our drink order taken in less then 5 minutes. 5 minutes later our food order was taken, it took about 8 to 10 minutes for our food order to come to our table. Food was very good, I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Portions we big enough, we left satisfied. The chicken and waffles we’re very moist, I got 2 thumbs 👍up. I had the Philly dip sandwich 🥪 😋 and was very pleased and was filling. As you can see we didn’t take home any leftovers.

  4. I must say this fine eating establishment has been around for years. And to my dismay I have never visited it until recently when I was convinced to try it out by my cousin. I gladly accepted the invitation and was extremely surprised by the vast array of jovial atmosphere and appealing menu items
The prices are fair. The food is awesome. I love the ambience and the atmosphere while sitting in the main dining room while enjoying this great dining experience. The wait staff and hostess are extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for a family gathering or a simple dining experience. The food is great and the wait is minimal. So all in all this turned out to be a great dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting a hot filling home cooked meal at a fair price. Try it you will like it…I did. I look forward to many more dining experiences here. I intend to come here more often and let others know about what they are missing. Thanks again Mimi’s for a wonderful lunch.

  5. Just a few minutes drive from our previous hotel. This diner is big and has plenty of seatings. They serve good looking muffin and their menu is also good. I’ve ordered corned beef with poached eggs, potatoes and toast. Perfect poached egg and I ate all my meal. The staffs are also very nice and our meal came out quick. I’ve seen a lot of family here. I wanna try the yummy looking s’mores muffin but I’m too full lol..next time.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Place was pretty packed with people also picking up orders to-go. Parking wasn’t too hard to find. Sat at the counter and was promptly helped. I ordered their Braised Oxtails with a side of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy and cornbread. The meat of the oxtails fell right off and the gravy used to smother it was delicious. The sides were very delicious. Portion was pretty big and can definitely be shared with 2 people. The only downside was the food wasn’t too warm when it came out. Overall a delicious experience. I spoke with the owner, and he’s a real nice person. The area is sketchy, and the inside was a tad cold, but the mural on their wall is definitely a highlight. Gives off a Ernie Barnes Sugar Shack vibe. Highly recommend coming here.

I’ve been hearing about this place for years and I’m so glad I finally made it in. The fried chicken breast and waffle was amazing. Juiciest chicken breast I’ve ever had. I don’t even like meatloaf, but my daughter ordered it, I tried it and now I’ll order it next time. I love okra and their okra was outstanding. So glad to have a great southern style restaurant here in Central CA.

My son always finds the best places to try, and this was no exception.. food is AMAZING!! We always pick different items so that we can taste all possible flavors. It’s home food away from home. The price was worth every penny. We could not decide which dish was the best… absolute gem to Fresno. Staff is also amazing and always checking on you.. Thanks for the delicious lunch.. the picture speaks for itself

Showed up here 3:15 p.m. on a Wednesday. Rough looking part of town. Plenty of on street parking. No problem getting a table. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Some of the best fried chicken I’d ever hard; expertly cooked with a nice crunch. Grits are a side, and they’ll ask you if you want savory or sweet. Savory is the famous cheesy grits. I don’t have a lot of experience with grits, but these were delicious, especially with the spicy honey. Ordered mac n cheese, braised cabbage, greens and peach cobbler. Everything was very tasty. We met Chef Paul; sweet guy. Great stop right off of 99.

The customer service was SUPERB! Our waitress and other Fleming Customer Service Representatives were constantly making sure that we were comfortable and satisfied. They constantly monitored and observed us and knew the perfect times to intervene to inquire if we wanted more food, etc… The food, all of the food we ordered was prepared to our specific desires. I was once told that you get what you pay for. We spent close to $300 and it was definitely worth every dollar. Certain experiences are priceless. Dining at Fleming’s, this specific Fleming’s, was a priceless experience. The atmosphere is perfect for an individual, family, or a couple. As a photographer, lighting means everything to me when it comes to attempting to create a certain mood. The lighting in this particular Fleming’s was set perfect over the white tablecloth, draped tables. The lighting helped to set a tone in my memory that of I were to catch amnesia, I believe that particular memory will be retained. I looked around at the employees working and clients eating and I didn’t see one sad or melancholy face. Everyone had smiles on their faces, laughing and enjoying the moment. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. It is an time we will NEVER forget and the thing about it is that all we did was pray, talk, laugh, plan, and ate good food. I have included some images of the food we ordered which the images really don’t give justice to how good the food tasted. As you read this review you may be thinking 🤔 what I have written above has nothing to do with Fleming’s at all and more to do with my experience. If you are thinking that, you’re wrong. It has everything to do with Fleming’s. Whenever I go out to eat, to me it is about more than just food. It is about a unique experience that will bring happiness to your heart, mind, body, and soul each time you think about it. I am hoping that someone who has read this will experience this in their own best experience and gain an understanding of what I have written. If you arrive at such an indelible moment at this Fleming’s, you can thank me later. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Fresno, California.

The team they have on staff is Awesome. They all work together to make sure the customer has everything they need. The salmon was phenomenal and the drinks were strong. The night was a little pricey but will go back for a date night.

Everything was absolutely perfect. You made our anniversary so special and a night we will never forget! Thank you so much Brittany and the rest of the phenomenal staff. We would not change a thing! From the moment we got there the customer service was great. We were lead to our table that they decorated special for our anniversary with a signed card from management and confetti everywhere. They accommodated to my husband’s peanut allergy and gave us complimentary truffles as a gift. The whole experience was worth every penny and we will definitely be coming back for future celebrations. Highly recommend this great establishment!

My husband and I had dinner here on Monday night for our wedding anniversary. Our table was nicely decorated with anniversary confetti and a card signed by the staff. Our waitress “Judy” was on point! She was very friendly, awesome sense of humor and made the whole experience just as great! We ordered the bone-in Ribeye, petite fillet mignon with lobster on top. OMG …. Let me say that the chef in the back knows how to make a steak! Our food was cooked to perfection! Zero complaints here! Towards the end of our dinner we were presented with a box of chocolate truffles and a lit candle to make a anniversary wish. This steak house is a bit pricey BUT top quality is what you get! I highly recommended to anyone who’s looking to indulge themselves!

My husband and I went there for pur anniversary, the atmosphere is wonderful, the service was spectacular, the food was great. When they found out it was our anniversary at the end of the night they gave us a box of chocolates. If you want to go out for fabulous evening go to Fleming’s, you do spend a little more money, but it’s worth the experience.
