What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This place is AMAZING! My husband & I were welcomed immediately with a warm smile and friendly hello, everyone here is super attentive and the food is exceptional. Make sure to try the fresh squeezed orange juice! We ordered the Mont Blanc, New Orleans & the Forestière Royal (from left to right).

  2. Great place to go for some breakfast that’s something different. The food was outstanding, the staff all had smiles and asked if everything was good or anything they could do. The crowd was very positive and the food was served really at a good wait time. This is something different to try and is worth it.

  3. Stopped by on our way back from the beach, and so glad we did! Great service, well organized for a busy Sunday. And of course food was amazing! Also got a delicious oat milk latte… highly recommend!

  4. The crepes were very good, but they were expensive and tiny. If each plate had 2 – 3 crepes on it an argument could be made for the price. However each plate was one little crepe and you have to get at least 2 plates to feel like you had a decent meal and at that point the price is ridiculous. Especially if you get a vegan crepe and pick several toppings…🤦🏻‍♀️Definitely get one of their set price menu crepes instead. I was disgusted when I realized how large the bill was considering the amount of food we had gotten…

  5. One of the best places for breakfast in town. Unique and high quality because the owner is always there and on top of everything. You will keep coming back. They even can make your savory crepes with buckwheat flour like they do in France!

This place is amazing. I had the crepe Caprice as my meal and my date had the salmon. Both were excellent the ‘Marie Antoinette Left ‘ cocktail was amazing also. Highly recommend. The atmosphere was very relaxing and romantic. Nick our server was great. 5 stars all around.

An absolute local gem! Gorgeous French meal – just like sitting in a Parisian bistro but in the heart of Wilmington. Cozy ambiance / vibe. The meal starts with fresh, warm baguette and high quality olive oil + balsamic. We ordered family style with a mix of apps (crepe and escargot) and entrees (lamb, beef bourguignon, and waterzooi). Can’t wait to return to try more menu items – each visit can be a new adventure of taste and flavor. We loved hearing the history of the restaurant, the chalkboard drawn map showing where in France / Belgium the owners/chefs are from, and seeing the owners at work in the restaurant until closing, then watching them leave together holding hands. Our server was also very kind, friendly, and engaging and gave us great menu recommendations that we followed. We also greatly appreciated the ease of booking on Open Table. Thank you Caprice, here’s to many more years!

With lots of dining options in Wilmington, only the best will stand the test of time and Caprice is one of those. Excellent French cuisine and quality service. The Escargot Petits Gris appetizer was excellent, the toasty French bread for dipping into the sauce made it even better. The Waterzooi house special is an assortment of fish and seafood in an herb & cream broth – superb! My wife had the a Gazpacho soup special (not pictured) and the Duck Confit as an entrée, loving both dishes. Our waiter Drew was knowledgeable with regard to the dishes and provided great service. Though our bill was over $100/person, that included cocktails upon arrival, a bottle of wine, and an after dinner desert wine. You can enjoy an excellent meal here for about $50/person and I highly recommend you try Caprice Bistro.

Food was delicious and service was excellent. We had waterzooi, escargot, house special flounder and gratin leek. Leek was okay, rest were excellent. The base(broth) for escargot and waterzooi was creamy and had great flavor. They have variety of alcoholic desserts as well. We settled for crème brûlée and it was nice !

Showed up in flip flops and board shorts – the manager met us outside and brought us in. She was extremely polite and came from DC. The waiter, a young man, did an exceptional job with our 4 year old and helping us out. We didn’t look like we fit in, but had plenty of money and they treated us like family. Food was a delight. Will go back 100%. Kudos to our manager and waiter for making this 💯! Get the octopus appetizer – delicious!

We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar. It was lovely and the bartenders were very attentive. We had 2 appetizers, the beef carpaccio and the scallops. For the main course we had the Veal medallions and escargot. Everything was delicious. The beef carpaccio was so tender and the capers and light sauce were just perfect with it. The veal was cooked wonderfully and smartly paired with the polenta. We also had a mini creme brulee and it was outstanding. We have never been disappointed here. Terrific staff with amazing French food as well. We will definitely keep coming back!

Brasserie Du Soleil has a light and fresh homemade French Onion Soup that is both light and refreshing as French Onions soups go (as opposed to the heavier darker iterations of the dish). It is presented elegantly and served with a side of baguette that is fresh and has just the correct amount of crispness. A nice touch is that they do not charge for additional bread as many places do. The amount of bread and cheese is well balanced with Brasserie seemly layering the bread within the soup which is a very nice touch and makes for a very consistent eating experience. The interior is open and well-lit due to the large windows along one wall leading out to an outdoor patio seating area. The restroom is very clean and nicely decorated. All of the staff we interacted with were quite friendly and helpful. The soup is slightly overpriced in my opinion ($10) however, given the area of town and the type of restaurant it is, the pricing is most likely in line. This restaurant based on the soup, décor, cleanliness, and service definitely earned 5 stars.

I love French food. I was so excited to try Brasserie Du Soleil. We had Robb as our waiter who was 12/10. He engaged the kids, recommended delicious options and generally entertained. It’s what I look for in dining experiences. Thanks you so much for the amazing night out!
