TK is extremely friendly and encouraging. All of the coaches are friendly yet focused and very skilled. They’ll push you far past what you thought your limitations were as long as you are consistent and they’ve given me sound advice every time I’ve sought it out. I love coming here to train. I just moved to the area and have trained at gyms all over Asia and the U.S., and this is one of the best I’ve ever experienced. From the second I walked in the door I felt welcomed like family. The vibe here is incredible. I feel both challenged to push beyond my comfort zones, and always safe that I will be given all the tools to get there. The coaches are serious, focused, incredible, and classes have mixed levels which at first I thought would intimidate me but actually makes everything better because you learn watching the advanced people and everyone is so focused on improving themselves and supporting each other that you never feel out of place whether it’s your first day or your thousandth. That is not an easy balance to strike! And definitely is a testament to the values and spirit of the founder and leader of the gym. Plus there’s a friendly dog who sometimes shows up to give you side-eye if you’re not jumping rope fast enough. I can’t say enough good things about this gym! It’s incredible.By Alison M. Instructors are great the beginners jujitsu (Monday and Wednesday) you learn or practice techniques and then go live at the end. There is no better workout. The kickboxing side is just as good. I’ve been a long time user of Toro Gis and absolutely love them, but I recently ordered a set of the cageside hand wraps and I am very impressed. They were about 1/3 the price of the Hayabusa wraps I’ve been using and even more comfortable. They have just the right amount of stretch and still provide awesome stability. Highly recommend.
The owner is a nice guy, my gear is always ready to pick up when I arrive. Always glad to support local business when possible.
I agree with others that the customer service is amazing. I ordered a gi as a Christmas present for my adult son. His size was sold out at the time and I bought an alternate. It did not fit. However, Customer Service responded quickly to my emails and contacted me when the size I needed was in stock. The exchange was seamless with plenty of communication inbetween. I highly recommend this company.
In my near decade mat time not only does Toro provide the top gear around but they have the BEST customer service I have ever experience in any business, not just juijitsu/mma.
Toro BJJ is my favorite company for gis and t-shirts. I love their different gi themes and designs, and their gis are very comfortable, well made, and durable. Their customer service is great and they ship orders quickly.
