- Reviews:My son loves coming here! Joe Hill is a fantastic instructor and is very gifted at teaching young kids. They learn so much and have a lot of fun during classes. It is very convenient to have classes offered every week night so that my son can still make it to at least a weekly class when seasonal sport schedules change. As a parent I appreciate the incentive to earn “parent stripes”. I have noticed a change in responsibility and accountability in my son since starting jujitsu. After stalking Hill academy for almost a year, I finally got the courage to do the trial. One class, and I was hooked and mad at myself for waiting a year. Joe is a great teacher. He explains things thoroughly and in a manner that even an old beginner like me could understand. The people there are very welcoming and are there to help and encourage those at all levels. The owner (Joe Hill) was very welcoming as were his students. I had a really fun time and got a great workout in (I was there for the evening class and then we were allowed to roll for at least an hour after class). It is apparent that Joe fosters a great environment to learn and play. I wish I was spending more time in Canton so I could attend more classes and roll more here. Master Kim made a huge impact on my mental and physical health, as well as my personal life. He has been a great mentor to me and is highly skilled in the Taekwondo martial art. He is great with kids as well as all ages. I highly recommend his school!
My 4yr old daughter recently started taking lessons here and we are completely impressed with the staff and how the program is run! They are so good with the kids and you can literally see a genuine respect and confidence being absorbed into them. Much appreciation to the staff that my daughter grows to love and respect more with each class!
In the few months we have been coming, I can already see the positive change in my grandson. He is learning to understand his body and it’s power. He is learning to show respect towards the staff and his fellow students. He is more focused. It is a wonderful journey for him.
I have been looking for classes for my toddler. The website states “We strongly recommend anyone 3-1/2 – 5 years of age to take advantage of our Little Champions Program.” So I was hopeful. Unfortunately when we went to inquire the gentleman said that they start at 4. That being said, he was incredibly welcoming and spoke not just to me but my son as well. The facility looks well taken care of. If I’m unable to get my son enrolled at another school at an earlier age we will likely return when he is 4.
