What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. As a business owner I’d say they have a solid business model and their coaches seem to be knowledgeable and take time to break down techniques. The Muay Thai classes have been great so far, and if I have time I’d love to jump into a boxing class sometime. 🤠🤙🥊
Definitely a welcoming vibe for beginners or amateurs walking in.

  2. So many positive things about this place. If you are looking to get fit or just wanting to get into the sport check it out. This gym offers it all MMA, jiu jitsu, judo, wrestling, boxing, muay thai, suples, and has the best kids programs. Clean facility with the best coaches to teach you. The atmosphere is so positive, I always leave feeling so accomplished.

  3. I joined back in October, and I’ve got to say I’ve tried other places, but this gym is the most legit in my eyes. You leave practice feeling like you learned something useful, and the coaches are excellent. It is fairly inexpensive in my opinion for what you get out of it. Not talking down on anywhere in particular, but I’ve tried places where it’d be nearly twice as much and the practice just didn’t feel fulfilling to me. If you’re thinking about trying out a martial art of some kind, don’t hesitate, you’ll be pleasantly surprised and they get you up to speed so quickly. they also offer affordable private lessons and the coaches are passionate, you don’t feel rushed out the door, they are always available for questions and instruction. You’ll get out whatever you put in for sure!

  4. Overall, I enjoy my time at the gym. I go mainly for BJJ, sometimes Judo. My work and life schedule is all over the place and it’s nice being able to go to class in the morning or late afternoon, depending on what’s happening. Every class, I feel I learn or go over something that is useful. The atmosphere is mostly friendly too, with coaches and sparring partners being super kind, so no complaints.

  5. After joining a little over 2.5 years ago, I can say that I was disappointed with this gym. Jesse is a great guy and I enjoyed supporting a small business owner.

I came in with years of experience in Muay Thai (even competing in matches in the past) and I was consistently put in the foundational class and sandbagged, holding pads for 14-year-olds; some of the beginner class coaches had it out for me it seemed. I asked multiple coaches if I could “test out” to get ahead to the more advanced class and I was denied with the statement “you have to just commit to foundations classes first.” With my career, I simply don’t have the time to commit to beginners’ classes again. After repeated attempts to get my pre-paid deposit back from staff, I was denied.

Frankly, it felt that because I am a transplant and not a “local”, I got held back intentionally and my money and time were wasted.

    Don’t recommend.

Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Michael Egley, and his staff are among the elite instructors in Idaho. The instruction, like the facility is top tier. The academy is clean, inviting and friendly. Whether you are brand new or have trained for years, this is a great place to learn something new, improve your fitness, and do it along a great group of individuals. Stop by, take a tour and and check out the sauna that members can use!

The training is top notch a with a balance of skill levels for every one. It’s a welcoming environment that has an excellent balance of focussed training, great rolls, skills education and deliberate high level Rolls for the advanced. The head professor mike Egley and black belt colton Vaughn are top notch helping me train and place in the world tournament in a short amount of time with a deliberate top level training. if you are looking to advance your skills stop in or if you are an individual that is interested in learning it’s a great place to start. great staff and great facility’s, Stop on in.

I’m a current We Defy Foundation recipient. I selected Egley Team Boise for my training location. I’ve been here a little over 2 months now and couldn’t be happier with my choice in training facility. The gym is very clean and the mats are maintained very well. Restrooms are clean and there are sanitation posters around the gym to help remind people to be clean. The front desk staff are very kind and welcoming. All of the instructors are patient and very welcoming. They are all very knowledgeable and motivated to teach. It’s not just something you see. It’s something you feel. Coach Egley and Coach Vaughn are very fun to train with. They both have passion and real commitment to teaching and training. They are very humble as well. If you are a considering joining ETB, ill say this. Stop considering and commit to bettering yourself. This is a great place to begin your change.

I joined Egley Train Boise in October 2022 because or their 6 week beginner program and have been going regularly since then. They have amazing coaches, staff, and a great clean facility. I have gained so much knowledge and confidence in a short amount of time. I highly recommend Egley to anyone who is new to Jiu Jitsu or is looking for new place to train. I have no prior experience in sports, so diving into Jiu Jitsu was a huge step for me and everyone at the gym has been friendly, helpful, and always supportive. I love being a part of this gym and community!

I signed up for Egley Train Boise Jiu Jitsu six week challenge at the beginning of this new year 2023. This was definitely something out of the norm for me. Coach Michael took the time to get to know me and asked questions about what I needed. One of the first things I mentioned was accountability. The six week challenge held a lot of accountability for me. They checked in frequently and asked what I need help with, provided encouragement and positive responses throughout my whole challenge. I just want to say Thank You to everyone at Egley Train Boise Jiu Jitsu. You are a family oriented establishment and are welcoming and a breath of fresh air for someone like me wanting to get back into being physically active and motivated. Thank You…

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this Taekwondo school is! My 8 year old gets so excited for every class, from the front desk, to the instructors and masters, they’re all wonderful! Classes are energetic, fun and very structured, kids are praised and encouraged to always try their best so they’re successful. We love Yong-In Master Lee’s Taekwondo!

We have been going to YONG-IN Master Lee’s Taekwondo for several years and it is without question the very best taekwondo school around. The staff, Masters and owners of the school are professional, kind, caring and have very high standards. They treat their students and students’ families like their own family. Their school is a very positive and very encouraging environment.

Wonderful school with excellent instructors who greet you by name! I originally joined because I was looking for something physically active to start doing after being a couch potato all through COVID. The attention from instructors is amazing. They greet you by name when you enter the school, notice if you miss class (ask if things are okay next time you’re there or call if you missed several), and give individualized attention in small break out groups at the end of class. The instructors are all masters (fifth-degree black belts) from Korea and are exceptionally good at both the practice and instruction of Tae Kwon Do. For the children’s classes, black belt high school students are assistant instructors as well, so kids get lots of attention. I love how they get the high school students involved in instructing the younger students! I may have joined for the physical exercise (which is great) but have definitely fallen in love with the community of people at this school. The instructors, fellow students and parents are all amazing people that I enjoy spending time with. It is definitely worth the money for such a strong/supportive community, and a great place to stay physically fit!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Master Lee’s taekwondo. The staff is all phenomenal and all work so hard to help all students learn and be successful. My boys have really grown a lot in strength, respect, endurance, skill, and so much more thanks to Master Lee’s. It feels like a family. Highly recommend!!
