  1. I love this place in Forest Hills. They call it, “A little corner of France in Forest Hills.”They have the most delicious creamy hot chocolate, which is the main reason I come here. It is such a treat. It is behind the Catholic church I go to on Sundays. They have other beverages of course, and they do have breads, other pastries, and cake. A chef bakes these, and another chef prepares the soups, salads, sandwiches, and other food they serve. They just make small batches of their stuff, and mostly use organic ingredients, which explains the pricing. They arent on the cheaper side of the spectrum. This is a small place, with one medium-sized communal table and few small tables indoor, but in the warmer days, they do have several tables outdoors. It is situated on the quieter part of Austin St and behind a church, so one can enjoy the goodies this place offers without people frequently looking in on you while you eat or cars honking or passing by every so often. It is quite a find. Come by and enjoy some French over here. I highly recommend!

  2. Great spot for coffee and desserts in Forest Hills! Love the vibe and atmosphere because it’s like you’re in France all of a sudden. My latte came out perfectly and the pastries were excellent!! I have to go back and try the other pastries. Not only is it pretty but it’s really delicious and of high quality. Highly recommend this place.

  3. French bakery in Forest Hills Queens. Great place for breakfast and good coffee. Everything there is backed on promises of course bread and pastries are super fresh daily. They have good options of tea, coffee drinks and matcha . Amazing options of crepes with different toppings for breakfast or any time of the day. From eggs, sausage and ham to almond cream, Nutella, ganache and banana, strawberry. They have soup and sandwiches. This place is good not just for breakfast but for lunch as well.

  4. Cool spot in Forest Hills, Queens to find French baked goods and entrées. It can get crowded morning and midday. The chef keeps a wide assortment of fresh pastries and breads. Get your classic baguette here! They are not open past 7 pm most days so go early. Some pastries can sell out as well like the beignets. The baking happens on-site as seen here in the prep station. The croissants are flaky and tender. Just magnifique! If I’m not in the city at my fave, I’m at La Boulangerie lol.

  5. Incredible.
The croissants were delicious – fresh and buttery.
I’m still thinking of the brioche buns.
    The lattes were perfectly made.
Customer service is excellent – lightning fast and yet attentive.
The seating area is clean and neat.
They have an array of delicious looking pastries.
    I’d love to go back.

Amazing brunch spot in LIC. A colorful modern ambiance. There’s isn’t a ton of seats but we didn’t wait, we got there at about 12 noon on a Sat. They are known for their eggs Benedict! I got a latte and salmon eggs Benedict and it was perfect. The holienday sauce was tasty a hint of lemon and creamy smooth egg texture. My wife got the crispy and soft in the Middle French toast.

Limited seating, especially if you have more than 6 people in your party, so be prepared to wait for a table. Had to deduct a star for slightly overcooked eggs on the Benedict the last few times we visited but I’m being a bit picky. The flavors were spot on and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the Onion soup, Escargot and the dessert Crepes.

Such a great spot in LIC that deserves more attention. Everything here was delicious and reasonably priced! The cappuccino was amazing and was one of the best I’ve had in a while. They have a large menu and a beautiful decor. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a brunch spot in the area!

Great brunch and lunch spot!! I found a nice and cute French cafe in LIC. We visited on Wednesday for branch. I ordered Egg Benedict with Bacon. ($13.5) In fact, sides can choose from 4 options such as bacon, ham, avocado, and smoked salmon. If you choose salmon, you need to pay $3 additionally. Eggs were really creamy. My friend ordered Henri Crepe. ($13.5) You can choose 3 toppings of 16. She ordered smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, and it was $3 extra. They were best matches, actually it was staff’s recommendation. The staff was kind and friendly. Crepe was really delicious! Not heavy and perfectly portioned. I forgot to mention that taking kids are also fine. They have baby chairs. Definitely, I’ll come back there soon!

We ate a burger and a steak. The steak was so small and dried. The steak of the burger definitely had no salt and no fat, since it was dried and well cooked (I asked for a medium done). We can’t recommend the restaurant, quality does not match the price.

Great place for a dress down French brunch! I find the test of a good French place is in their butter. Needless to say, the butter is stellar, better than ones I’ve had from France. The experience, while it may seem high street, is just an elevated setting to enjoy home-style french cooking. The Croque Monsieur was excellent, simple, and had quality ingredients. Service was excellent, with compliments to Miguel who wore several hats that day, taking notice of me in spite of working the bar. He clearly was passionate of the restaurant and serious about his drinks/food. The manager was also excellent and talked to me more like a friend, very humble 🙂 Would come back again for a chill brunch!

Benoit New York is a contemporary French bistro by Alain Ducasse. The restaurant retains traditional French bistro elements, such as the signature red velvet banquettes. We were very enjoyed the bread and butter, bread is the key, which is very important for us. One of the best bread we’ve ever had in Manhattan. Our wonderful dinner reminds us of Paris. Benoit New York identity as an authentic Parisian bistro with a New York sensibility undoubtedly.

Overall very good food and service. The wine list is impressive. The one thing we found a little annoying was the pace. Took 15 minutes for them to take our order, took them so long to bring the ice bucket for the wine that the bottle was nearly empty when it arrived, took too long to get the bill, etc.

Great location and fitting interior. As a party of 15 we were well taken care of with attentive yet unobtrusive service. The grilled and smoked eggplant appetizer was not my really my thing, but the salmon with puréed sweet potato on the side was cooked to perfection. The dessert however was the absolute highlight, the profiteroles were each a small bite of heaving served with an understated chocolate sauce and a light vanilla ice cream.

In NYC for the weekend in midtown and wanted to try something French. This is a really solid choice. Our server was very nice and overall service was excellent. Started with several apps. Escargot, fois gras, charcuterie. Really enjoyed all of them! Charcuterie had a nice array of pate with prosciutto and another sausage plus some really nice baby gerkins. Escargot was really good but the flat out winner was the fois gras…highly recommend! For dinner, I had roasted duck which was really well prepared but sadly was a little on the chilly side…no complaints though because it was really tender and tasty. Out table had an array; flank steak, halibut, quenelles. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We closed out with creme brulee and lava cake. Ton of drinks. Nice selection of speciality cocktails. Highly recommend!
