What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I’ve only eaten here in the morning, mostly on Saturdays and it’s a great place for breakfast! It looks like it’s a busy place every Saturday but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. Service is great! Food is great and lots of choices. On this visit, I ordered the Sandbridge Omelet and I love it. They have rewards program for frequent diners.

  2. I enjoyed the Egg Bistro, the only negative I find was the table seating wasn’t very comfortable and really small even for two people. A booth would have probably been more comfortable, but I understand they were packed so seating was limited.
Our wait time was reasonable and staff was friendly and accommodating. The waitress was great with service and the food was very good. Their menu has plenty of variety.
I definitely recommend eating here if you’re in the area looking for a great breakfast.

  3. Food drinks and staff are amazing… be prepared to wait as brunch is now part of millennial culture.
Started with the fried green tomatoes. I had the veggie hash.. I have no clue what she had.. but she loved it

  4. Delicious breakfast! I got the eggs Benedict special, and it did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly. Be sure to specify how you would like your eggs, as we had to send ours back because the egg whites were runny, but no problem they obliged and corrected the issue. Great brunch cocktail menu too, I wanted to try them all!

  5. My husband and I would frequent here often years before the pandemic. However throughout the years their food and service had seemed to go down. I’m glad post pandemic we gave them another chance. They are back to their glory days. The food is superb and the service is on point. We’ve noticed they’ve changed the menu alot and we enjoy those changes. All the food we had was great, but I’m a super fan of their corn beef hash. It is nothing like the corn beef hash of any other restaurant. We will be back soon.

The food is pretty good. We were drawn in by the “kids eat free”. I probably won’t come here much because to allow kids eat free they have all other items increased in price. Over 3 dollars for a cup of coffee! The food is tasty though! The kids love the potatoes when they won’t eat them anywhere else. The staff is friendly and over all the environment is nice.

Food was good. Service was really fast for a Saturday. Everyone in my party enjoyed it. I recommend getting there early before the late breakfast crowd. I would also recommend the omelets. The Sweet Tea is delicious. My family made multiple comments about it.

Pop’s diner a staple in Virginia Beach area. Never had a disappointing meal here. The food is always good and the service is always impeccable. However this time the food was a little salty but I think that was my fault because for the past 3 months I have been cooking with no salt so therefore everything I guess seems a little saltier to me. However it was awesome

Wow what an amazing diner! Clean, great staff, great food. Waffles – legit. Talk about depth of flavor! This is not your 3 ingredient waffle here. Pancakes – yeah I had one as a replacement for my biscuit with my omelette and it bangs. It had a heady flavor to it, almost anise or cinnamon underlying flavor that was perfection. I’ve never had a pancake so good Omlette – had the southwest. Lots of jalapeños! Salsa is a mild pico de Gallo so it didn’t saturate the omlette. Coffee was actually good, a rarity in diners these days Overall a fantastic experience! We’re really happy we stopped in

Placed order online, called upon arrival and a really nice lady answered the phone, said she will be right out and she was real nice when I met her, she brought my breakfast to the front passenger seat, rolled down window and she placed it in the seat. The breakfast food was excellent!

I liked this place so much I ate there twice. First time I had the San Francisco Eggs Benedict and the second time I had the Chicken Waffles, which oddly was my first time eating. The Eggs Benedict came with all the usual items plus sliced avocado which made it San Francisco style but the Chicken and Waffles was all that I could have imagined. The chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly and the waffles were light and crispy, served with strawberry butter. Loved this place, I’ll be back. Sorry I didn’t take many photos, I started eating before realizing I should’ve taken photos but you can’t go wrong with this place, the food and service (Shilah) was great.

I did not physically go into the building. But I had breakfast delivered from DoorDash for my mother and I. Delicious!! We ordered the chicken and waffles. Enough to share, which we did. The chicken was well seasoned. The waffles were so fluffy, and the spicy syrup and strawberry butter. We also got the bacon, egg, and Cheese croissant which came with a choice of home fries or grits. The sandwich was so big. And the grits were seasoned. Only needed butter. I also got a side of hash browns. We had enough for lunch later. We will be ordering again.

This week I’ve been to Metro 3 times this week and everything I had was delicious. This time I has the chicken and waffles with Strawberry butter. My server Tina serve made sure I was good every visit she put me on to the sweet and spicy sauce for my chicken. It was boom! This is my place. I’ll definitely be back.

This is my second time coming to this diner and I absolutely love it. The food is always fresh and the staff are attentive and kind. I think the chicken and waffles are the best but I am sure that you will enjoy everything on the menu. Our server, Kim, was the best!!! Highly recommend.

Have to pull a star due to the fact that it took longer than appropriate for us to be greeted when we were finally seated, however, our waitress was apologetic to the fact and was attentive throughout the rest of our service. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was welcoming and enjoyable. Appreciate the focus on taking care of Service Members.
