What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We got there after 9pm on a busy Saturday night. They had a huge party going on so we we had to wait a little, about 15 minutes bit it was well worth the wait because the service and the food was amazing. The attention paid by the staff was great and the food came out on time, and at the right temperature. I would definitely recommend going here, whoever is in charge of this place runs a tight ship and probably pays their staff well

  2. Consistently excellent. We have enjoyed both catered events and lunch or dinner at The Pine. The food is fresh and delicious. The servers are courteous and accommodating BUT do not try to make a last minute reservation. Plan ahead. Same day reservations are tough to get. You won’t be disappointed. From the fresh baked bread, to crisp salads, to tasty wings, to the extensive menu, you can’t make a wrong choice.

  3. 2.5 if I could but needs better attentive service. Our waiter was faster and more attentive to bigger tables which is understandable but our first time, celebration birthday not very memorable. Plus loud music from a prom and the bathroom was disgusting. Unfortunately our chicken and shrimp got mixed up when they did our food to go and my wife is highly allergic to shrimp.

  4. Perfection! I came here last night to celebrate my 2year Anniversary with my partner and it was pure bliss. We called ahead of time to check if we needed to make a reservation but we were told that we could walk in and it could be a 30min wait. We had no problem with that so we ended up waiting in the bar section and got one of their signature cocktails. The customer service with host, servers and busboys were so welcoming. Very clean & organized restaurant with a really large menu that have many amazing dishes and drinks! I seriously couldn’t stop talking about the food and I ended up taking food home! We had the PORTERHOUSE FOR 2! Wow!! I have to say one of the best PorterHouses steaks I’ve ever had and the best garlic cheesy bread! Even the packing for the leftovers were perfectly wrapped! This restaurant has valet parking as well! While I was waiting for my Uber the Valet workers seemed very much on point which is always good to know. I cannot wait to come here again and make this place a regular place to come to! Highly recommend if you want Italian food & a good cozy vibe!

  5. The atmosphere – so very welcoming! Shout out to Marco! It was the weekend so it’s busy. Party of 5, so we chilled at the bar while we waited on our table. Seated in about 20 minutes. Hector, our server was amazing!! The drinks were great, and the food was absolutely delicious!😋

    I’ll be back for sure!!

June 8, 2022, 11months ago I was there. Today I was there and the food was great and the service by Erica was great. What I found out very disturbing was that the 18% tip was included in the bill. The first bill given was the total for the food. I left cash tip of $23.00 for server who did an excellent job. I just called a few minutes when I got home and was told can’t reverse tip but can give me the cash back. As a business owner it doesn’t make sense. I will not be going back to restaurant. When they give you receipt they give you total but don’t give you receipt back of what you spent unless you ask for it. I assumed when I requested receipt it would be ok but when I got in my car I noticed the 18% added. That means it is 36% tip. That is why I am given a 1 because of how sneaky they were. All customers much check price before leaving a tip and request original receipt. The food was good and the service as well. A little pricey for the food but can’t complain when our server made sure we were enjoying our meal.

A nice food I like that sometime I’m going to New York I think that’s my new Latin restaurant in the Bronx, we ordered passionfruit Mojito and Mofongo and White. 👌🏻 also Master Barber CT we do a collaboration with anyone and we do support small and big business.

Update: I decided it was mean to give them only 2 stars given the food itself was worth 5 stars based on balance of price and how much we got (look at that paella so much seafood) So 3 stars and let’s just say I would return despite the service.. The service was soooooo slow. The food took forever to come. All the comments about service are valid although not necessarily our waitress’ fault. Doesn’t seem like they hired enough staff, could be the same going on in the kitchen too. The problem was we finished several beers and mojitos before the food came, we were already too hungry and had a buzz from the alcohol, just too desperate to enjoy the food properly. We ordered appetizers too, took forever just like main course. Ah speaking of the actual food, they were good. We had seafood paella and steaks, all good. But the whole experience was so subpar. I guess I could have given 3 stars given the food, but really hope they improve.

Everything was exceptional! Lamb chops with tostones, chicharrón shrimp Mofongo and bbq Cuban sandwich! Flavor overdose!!!! I would’ve shared pictures of the food but we couldn’t wait to dig in. Our waitress was extremely attentive to detail really enjoys making her customers happy! Gracias Odalis Bueno!!!👏👏👏

Went here with my siblings and we all loved it! There was no wait time but we all had to be there in order to be seated, luckily we were able to sit in the bar until the rest of my siblings arrived. Frank was our waiter and his service was amazing, he was super sweet & attentive. Food was delicious and came fast. I loved the ambiance. The music was also great, me and my sister were singing the whole time. I will definitely return! 😍🇩🇴

By far the best Dominican restaurant in the NYC area. The food is amazing, the service always on point and the decor is just beautiful. Our server Frank was on top of everything and made our dinner even more enjoyable. Omar the bartender really knows how to throw a great drink. The prices are great for the quality of the food and the portions you get. Overall great dining experience every time.

You will definitely notice the colorful outdoor seating as you pass by in Arthur Avenue area of the Bronx. The decor here is beautiful and will transport you to rural Dominican Republic. I loved the details like the metal cups for water and juices, the multicolored wooden exterior and interior and a case of traditional ceramic figures. I arrived just before opening and there was already a line ! Expect the traditional rice and beans with every meal and many plantation based dishes at this Dominican restaurant. Even the white rice has a delicious and rich flavor to it. The daily special was oxtail and they were so soft they melt in your mouth. This is one of the more noteworthy Dominican restaurants in the Bronx for great drinks and Dominican fare.

I would have to say for the price point the food is very good and the service was great! This restaurant treats its customers very good! The portions are huge so hope you have a appetite!! I wouldn’t know we’re to start in recommending any in particular dish because all the food there is excellent and it taste so rich and seasoned very well. The drinks were great, they bring them in this old style tin cups, that brings back memories when I was a child, very nostalgic for anyone who grew up in a Latin family or the Caribbean!! Only left to say is go try it out.. sometimes there’s a little wait the place isn’t that big but it’s worth the wait, enjoy!!! 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷

I love this restaurant the food is amazing! The people are so nice and attentive! Especially my server MANUELA she was so nice and served me quick and gave me attention, she is very patient and helps me pick out the food with ease. She’s a great server! The owners are super humble and so hardworking! The mom especially. This place reminds me of DR and it makes me feel like I’m home every time I come. Can’t wait to check out there new location! I go to the one in little Italy a lot but any location is fine. The food is sooo good!
