  4. The front desk staff are excellent! They were very helpful and fast. The woman receptionist sprained her ankle the previous evening and she still showed up. That shows her commitment to the job!

    My tooth broke last night and I was able to immediately make an appointment through their online system. I arrived this morning and was greeted warmly by the staff. I explained my insurance situation and she was very helpful in explaining everything. The dental assistant was so nice and knowledgeable as well as the dentist herself who described my options without at all my feeling pressure. I love the diversity of people who work here which makes me feel even more at ease in the office. Although I needed to pay out of pocket for this time, the cost was much lower than I expected.

    I had my teeth cleaned today by Jessica. I have never had such a good cleaning ever!!!! I am older and my teeth don’t look as good as they used to and I could not believe the difference. She also took her time and explained everything she was doing. The entire staff are friendly and make you feel so comfortable. I highly recommend going to Poughkeepsie Dental and ask for Jessica for your cleaning!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

    I had a great experience here today. The whole staff was welcoming and friendly as if I were a friend. The dental assistant was very kind and accommodating and Dr. Bristow was gentle, calming, sweet and polite. I absolutely dread the dentist but I felt safe here.

    I’m a new patient to this location. I was very happy with the way I was treated and felt very comfortable and welcome. I’m not good with Dentists and they made me feel at ease. The young ladies at the front desk were very helpful in explaining all the charges and all the upcoming work. Would recommend.

    Jessica is THE BEST! As a long timer patient, visited as a kid with my parents, and now continuing to visit as an adult I’ve never had a bad experience. However today, I had one of the BEST experiences with hygienist, Jessica. She shared so much knowledge along my teeth cleaning journey… plaque vs tartar, fluoride benefits, brushing techniques. And she provided the most comfortable cleaning I’ve ever experienced. She accommodated my sensitivity by not using the water pick or the suction, continually asked how I was doing. I would look forward to visiting the dentist if I knew I could have this same experience every time!! TLDR: Please give Jessica a raise and keep her on your team forever!

    Incredible patient care—so compassionate. A very welcoming place. Competence exudes from reception to dentist’s chair. The entire team was there to achieve patient comfort, resolve my dental issue and get me back in the swing of life ASAP. Dr Whalen is very gentle, gives enough explanation so you know what’s going to happen next, but skips the technical lingo so as not to overwhelm with superfluous details. The office is impeccable and clearly designed to create a soothing, patient-centric environment, from the color of the walls to the comfy sofa in the waiting room. I very much appreciated the approach to future needs: scheduling my next appointment right away and giving me an idea of what would happen on that day; setting out a timeline that gives a good idea of typical progression through the suggested procedures; and providing a clear and concise financial overview that not only informed me of costs over the course of future treatment, but set out three options for payment and the benefit of each. Dr Whalen and his team have one goal: taking good care of their patients’ mouths to protect overall health and vitality. That goal shines through and through.     I have been a Patient at Dental Design Studio for many years and my experiences there have always been great! The entire staff is very friendly and helpful and Nicole, my Dental Hygienist, does an excellent job and she is a delight to be with! And as for Dr. Whalen himself, he always greets you with a warm welcome and his examinations are very thorough! I always feel well cared for when I go to Dental Design Studio and I truly look forward to my visits to come!

    I don’t know that I’ve ever recommended a general dentist before… but Dr. Whalen and his staff are the best. The entire experience. From the less important but nice stuff, like the office area, parking inside space, attentiveness… to what you really want — top notch skills, techniques, equipment. Know what they are doing, do it efficiently, and in my experience the results have always been great. I have teeth that have required a lot of extra attention, my entire life (first root canal while still in high school)… so I’ve been to a few in my life. This is an easy one to give 5 stars and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!!
