What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I have been looking on and off for my grandmother for a few years and as soon as I walked into Quail Lodge I knew my grandmother would love it. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They offered me to stay for lunch after my tour and we ate a great meal in their private dining room. Everything is very clean and comfy but the main sell was the bus transportation to my grandmother’s hospital! They have a full calendar of fun activities and beautiful balconies in each apartment. I can’t wait for her to call this place home.

  2. My 98 year old dad and 99 year old uncle have been at Quail Lodge for 3 and 1/2 years. This has been a wonderful place for them, living together, and for the rest of the family as well. Everyone at Quail Lodge is helpful, communicative, willing to help figure out solutions to any issue you might have. With elders, there are issues and it is comforting to know such a warm and caring staff is there when I am not. I like how the activities are centrally located which creates an energy that those more on the sidelines can still enjoy without actually participating if they don’t want to. My dad needs more care now and we are moving out of Quail Lodge and it is a very sad thing. We will miss our friends and caregivers and only hope the next place is just as warm and welcoming and efficient.

  3. If your looking for a place for your mom or dad this is it!!! My 89 year old mom needed a temporary place to stay while her new place was being built. My sister and I looked first then I took my mom around. She might be 89 but she is very opinionated and picky. She could find fault with all of them from the hallway is too dark to its too quiet, or no balcony. The second we walked into Quail Lodge she LOVED it. She loved the cozy decor and layout, the people were welcoming and the apt was newly renovated with a balcony and a view. Our salesperson Dana was refreshingly pleasant and very accommodating. My moms new construction place kept having delays and I had to keep asking for extensions from a written move out notice. The manager Susan Allen was very understanding and kept giving us more time. She has been there now for 6 months now and loves it so much she doesn’t want to leave. I had a feeling this would happen but sadly we will have to say goodbye next week. If your looking for a place that your mom or dad will be happy at do yourself a favor and look here. Thank you Quail Lodge for making my moms transition so very pleasant.

  4. From the outset Director – Susan has provided honest , compassionate professional service to our family as mom started her adjustment to a new living environment. She provided encouragement to mom, constant communication with our family to ease mom’s transition. Thank you.

  5. Quail Lodge is the perfect senior living place for my dad as I want him surrounded by the very best, but that’s affordable as well. And that’s what I found at Quail Lodge.
His happiness and comfort is priority, and that’s what’s provided there.

His favorite time is going to the dining room for meals, as they have an awesome chef who keeps a diverse menu of tasty selections. Family members can eat there with them at any time and enjoy the food as well, which my family does all the time.

It’s beautiful aesthetically as well, with chandeliers and beautiful artwork everywhere, and his room looks like a modern apartment.

But the most important thing to me is the staff, the people who are with him every day. Everyone there treats my dad like he was their own parent, and that’s just how they do it there. that’s most important to me, my dad’s happiness and comfort.

Please check this place out…..you will not regret it!

I just moved my mother into TreVista – Antioch and it lives up to the hype. It is a recently-renovated, well-maintained, reasonably-priced assisted living center that offers exceptional care. Staff and management are deeply committed to the happiness, comfort, and safety of the residents. The rooms are large and attractive, the activities are fun and diverse, the food is tasty, and the other residents are happy and friendly. It’s been over a week, and I’ve been able to observe things onsite over several days. Here’s what I’ve seen: THE FOOD: Every meal I had there was excellent. Both my mother and my husband (a self-reported “picky eater”) called the meals they ate “really tasty, perfectly seasoned.” And I’d have to agree. It’s not the French Laundry, but everything I tried — spaghetti and meatballs, Parmesan fish, roast beef, turkey sandwich, veggie burger — I enjoyed. It certainly doesn’t hurt that their desserts, served every lunch and dinner, are excellent—think banana splits and freshly-made strawberry and banana crepes. Yum! THE STAFF: The caregivers check in with my Mom every couple hours, always with a smile, always looking to help. No request seems too petty or burdensome—the answer was always “yes! I can help with that!” They immediately put my mother at ease and made her feel welcome. At night, before we left, I witnessed how caring they were with her, making sure she had what she needed, and letting her know they were always just a button push of her pendant away. These are not folks who are watching the clock or phoning it in—they seem to take genuine pleasure in making the residents they assist happy. THE MANAGEMENT: Of course, all of this is a reflection of how things are handled at the top. Alberto, the Executive Director, is simply outstanding. Everyone I talked to there sang his praises. He made it clear that once my mother arrived that he would be my primary point of contact, and gave me his cell phone number. He told me “Call or text me 24-7—on weekends, at night—nothing is too small. I’ll get it taken care of. This goes for now and the future.” And he means it. Alberto is committed to making TreVista the best assisted living center possible, and it’s clear he deeply cares about the residents and staff. Likewise, my experience with the head nurse, Erika, was also very impressive. Like the other staff, she was enthusiastic, listened attentively to all my concerns, and worked with me to find good, affordable solutions for my mother’s care plan. But on top of that, she truly rose to the moment when my mother had a minor crisis. The previous facility was supposed to provide us with 14 days of medication, but for my mother’s most important medication, it turns out they only left her with a 3 day supply. I found this out on a Friday afternoon after we had already moved in. I told Erika about this, and she immediately swung into action, reaching out to my Mother’s new primary treater (who my Mom hadn’t even seen yet) for a prescription and working with local pharmacies, making sure my mother wouldn’t run out of these all-important pills. I hadn’t expected to stress-test a crisis so soon at TreVista, but they delivered. And, again, with warmth and good humor. THE OTHER RESIDENTS: Everyone I chatted with said they were very happy at TreVista. And I was delighted to see how welcoming everyone was to my mother. I sat in on one activity (Spanish Lessons—it’s not just bingo at TreVista!), and it was an hour of laughter and smiles. (Faustina and Elena are in charge of the activities, and oh my gosh, they are such lovely, warm people!) Later that day, Mom went to a “Coffee Social” and when I checked in on her 90 minutes later, she was chatting up a storm with the people at her table. Mom never did any activities at her previous ALC—honestly, she mostly stayed in her room—and here she was eager to connect and having a ball. If you are thinking of moving yourself or a loved one into TreVista – Antioch, you can be confident you are making the right decision. It’s truly delightful.

We moved my mother in at the end of April and since then we have been nothing but impressed. With the caregivers, the facilities, the management, the food, and the communication. It is expensive of course but the feeling that my mother is so well taken care of makes it worth it. Thank you TreVista!!!

TreVista has been very helpful and accommodating in caring for the person I look after. She has special needs and they have gone over and above what I expected in finding the best solutions for her. Their overall care is good and they show a genuine care for the residents.

I have only been to the Antioch facility and it is beautifully appointed and well kept. The staff are all friendly. You can tell Tre Vista really focuses on taking care of all the residents as if they are a member of the family and help them feel at home.

The Commons is a wonderful place for your loved one to live. The level of respect from Executive Director, Business Manager, Nurse, Bus Driver, Med Tech, Activities Director, and everyone else that i have come in contact with that works there, is incredible. They are humble and kind, and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are nurtured and well cared for. It has an atmosphere that feels like home, where everyone treats you like family. They offer individual and personalized care to enrich the resident’s mind, body and spirit. They also go above and beyond to make sure the families of the residents are well cared for as well. If you are looking for a place to put a loved one so that you can feel comfortable and confident THE COMMONS AT DALLAS RANCH is the place. Alberto is the ED who is professional, curious and an excellent communicator. He always gets right back to me and makes every effort to accommodate my questions or Mother-In-Law’s needs. It is clean, organized, spacious with a professional and loving staff. The rooms are light and airy, the food is healthy and nutritious. They also offer a menu that is available for residents to order from outside of the scheduled meals. They will even deliver meals to your room if needed. They offer Bingo, on-site shopping, movie nights and have a private room to reserve for private gatherings. If there is an activity that is not currently being offered that a resident would like to do or have available on site, they will make every effort to make it happen. There is also a salon so residents can have their hair and nails done right there. They offer all levels of assisted living as well as a separate and secure memory care wing. I feel so comfortable knowing my Mother-In-Law is safe and secure with thoughtful and caring individuals to help her anytime she needs it. We looked at many places before deciding on The Commons at Dallas Ranch. We are so glad a room opened up for her, because they rarely have openings. I highly recommend The Commons.

My mother, Jean D. become a resident two weeks ago and my brother Bill and I are so impressed with the care staff, Chef/food/service staff, and the facilities director. She was at a different facility and in just two weeks they have made my mother feel at home, changed her room around to make it more conductive for relaxation (watching TV) and hung all her pictures with out us asking. Nelli is a fantastic. She continues to communicate with my brother about my mom and her observations. We couldn’t be happier and looking forward to sharing more great experiences. Thank you MBK staff. Nice job!

A warm and inviting experience. CDR is aesthetically beautiful and the team and residents are the icing on the cake. The staff is friendly and quite skilled. The residents love making new friends. The entire community is very accommodating.

Former employee. Its been about 5 years now so I finally feel safe speaking out. This facility condones abuse of the elderly. One resident would leave the assisted living side daily to be in the dementia/memory care ward. The employees would leave her in her dirty Depend for 12 hours. When it was documented to time and date the depend in the morning (6am) she would come back (6pm) on the exact same one. When the management found out what was being done they fired me. Not sure they’re doing much better now. But please if you care about your family, do not bring them here!

The Commons at Dallas Ranch is the best! A couple of years ago it became apparent that my 80+ year old aunt could not safely live alone in her own home. Our family began the process of touring assisted living facilities throughout the entire Bay Area, but could find none that met both our price point and high standard for cleanliness and care. We initially didn’t look in Antioch because we snobbishly thought they would offer much less than facilities in San Francisco. We could not have been more wrong! The Commons at Dallas Ranch met and continues to exceed our expectations. My aunt lived in the city of San Francisco for over 50 years and was very reluctant to leave the city limits. We looked at numerous facilities in San Francisco, and not only were they three times as expensive as the Commons, but they paled in comparison to the caring staff, delicious meals, and spacious rooms provided at the Commons. We searched from Oakland to Vacaville and found some fabulous and not so fabulous places, but none scored as high with us as the Commons. Fast forward to a year later and we absolutely love this place. The staff is like our extended family and they genuinely care about the well being of my aunt (who can be a bit feisty). We also love that there is always a full schedule of activities and even a hair salon on site. But most importantly- my aunt is thriving there. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for going above and beyond for their residents and providing a safe, caring environment for people to age with dignity.
