in the last weekLet me preface this review by saying that I may not be the typical customer coming through this car wash with a newer car. My vehicles are old, but well maintained.
July, 2023:
I took my 20+ year old truck here for a BestWay wash. I ended up losing the entire wiper arm on the driver-side, just inches away from where it bolts on to the actual motor that actuates it. I Immediately informed the employees and left my name/number with them, but never heard from them again. I was pretty certain I wouldn’t hear from them again too as they said they don’t cover damage to wipers and/or vehicles that are 7+ years old.
Long story short, what actually happened inside the wash was that the dryer fans ejected my wiper arm up and moments later the brush took out the arm. I could have cared less if I lost just the wiper… that’s a cheap part typically subject to wear-and-tear, but an arm is a very sturdy component and cost me $70+ to replace. See picture attached.
Their office had a really nice CCTV system showing the inside of the wash, but unfortunately for me they couldn’t be bothered to monitor my car while it was going through this time. Just not a good experience… never had an issue like this at other car washes.
2 months agoFORD ESCAPE DRIVERS BEWARE!I have visited this location 3 times since the day I first tried it and signed up on May 6th. Time 1 was wonderful, car was clean to my standards.
On time 2, May 10th, my rear windshield wiper blade was ripped off by the wash and was kindly replaced by the car wash. When I went in to file a report, I noticed a whiteboard stating (paraphrased) “rear wiper blades: keep track of make/model of vehicles.” This should have been my warning.
On time 3, May 29th, my rear windshield wiper blade was ripped off by the wash again and a “my bad” was given by the attendant. Apparently, and according to the attendant I was speaking to, this is a common issue with Ford Escapes? His words were “40% of the time” but with my experience it was definitely 66.6%. I didn’t wash my car anywhere between the 2nd and 3rd visit, and there were over two weeks of time between these visits to allow adjustments to be made within the wash itself if this is indeed a reoccurring issue.
I drive a 2021, and am quite disappointed with the lack of machinery correction to avoid mishaps like this. This car wash does clean my car incredibly well, but to go without a rear windshield wiper blade AGAIN, because of this machinery, and it being a KNOWN issue that has yet to be fixed, is unacceptable.
4 months agoUpdate: the girl with the lip piercing and tongue piercing is so rude as well as talking down on other employees specifically saying “there’s a blonde guy who works here part time so he does stuff he shouldn’t and hopes to get away with it.” Either way, rude employee or not, this car was just sucks!Thought since it’s fairly new, the wash would be great. I was wrong. Every time I go, my truck comes out still dirty. Not sure if it’s because of my lift kit or the actual car wash, but I believe it’s the car wash due to the top being clean, but halfway up my door being dirty.
3 months agoI came in to get my car washed. It had thick layers of mud, probably some salt mixed in and was overall very dirty. Telling the cashier how usually the bumpers never get really clean, the sides have streaks or still some kind of smear on it but that I wanted a really clean car for once. He assured me I wouldn’t leave unsatisfied.
Upon driving in I was surprised nit to see the usual heavy brush that was used the pre-clean bumpers, sides and windows. My ride started and all different kind of actions took place around my car. Once done I couldn’t help it but check the outside.
It was spotless. I was thoroughly impressed. Great job!
I’ll be back.3 weeks agoUTICA… Truck side steps do not get clean at all.. Premium wash leaves a film and spots that do not come off after dry. Brand new black vehicle, and i have scratches all over it!! Older employee is a disgruntled person, sorry to inconvenience you for coming here. Switching to ZAX.

2 months agoPaid $12 for the “Heavily Soiled” wash. I was not mudding in my truck, but I do live on a dirt road. Yes, my truck is older, yes there is some rust, but for $12 my truck went from dirty to slightly less dirty. Complete waste.4 months agoThe self service car wash is great, but the touchless car wash is definitely in need of an upgrade. Unfortunately it left hard spots on the vehicle that were really hard to get rid of. Almost like wax overspray. Stick with the self service bay if you’re going to visit this place. 👍7 months agoWould normally use the automatic car wash for $10 weekly on 2 of my cars, but today decided to try the $.25 bay wash. $0.25 gets you 32 seconds on Mondays. I was putting in quarters one at a time and washing my car. Eric can check his videos—and see before he reacts the way he did today. Had $6 in quarters on the shelf. Used $2 in quarters and switched to the brush. While using the brush the meter ran out while I was washing my last wheel so the owner rudely came out yelling at me that the meter must be running. Grabbed the brush out of my hand and made me hang it up. It wasn’t even 20 seconds since the meter ran out. I left with an unwashed car and won’t be returning. Owner complaining just lost a customer and my family / friends business in the future. Honestly spent a few hundred dollars in washing cars the past year at this wash. I have other car wash options closer to me. I understand no bucket washing, but I never saw a sign saying meter has to be running every second your standing there. Dude needs to chill the F out, it was just a quarter and 32 seconds!3 months agoLove EJ. Car wash. Not only is it the best one this side but. It’s my initials also. I am soooooo pleased with my service. I haven’t seen my car look this good in a long time. They completely got out all food stains and smells from the dish I dropped last month. This was worth my purchase and the drive to Sterling Heights. I’ll be back before Medical school ☺️
The very first time I went here I’m assuming the manager or owner came over and said the first month was $7.99 and every month after it would be $29.99 which would’ve been the least expensive in town for the best wash offered. I enter the wash and midway through everything shut down and I was stuck in the wash for about four minutes. The black plastic spinning wheel kept turning on but my vehicle was not moving so I ended up making marks on my mirror. I also have a lot of soap left on my vehicle because they ended up just pushing the rollers out to get me out of there. So I had to go back around and get it re-washed. Not gonna lie I was a little hesitant to go back in after getting stuck in there. So after the experience I decided to give them a second try, I have a tiny bit of snow on the back of a truck bed the first car wash is just spray off. Not this older gentleman with a very bad attitude. He left snow on the truck cover and all it did is fill up with soap wax and whatever else they wash the vehicles with. I went back around after pushing off some of it and he was refusing to let me go back through, even though their sign says if you’re not happy they will rewash your vehicle. Keep in mind I have all kinds of soap wax and whatever dripping off the sides of my truck he told me to come back tomorrow. After refusing to leave with all this mess on my truck he was very reluctantly let me go back through. At this point I was 🤯Furious!!!! However I did give them a third chance and everything went fine that time. I can’t say that I would recommend this place but they do have a lot of potential if they ever clean up the parking lot where you vacuum and get someone that actually cares about drying your vehicle. There’s always tons of water left on it right off. The only things I can say good about this so far is the mirror finish shine when your vehicle is washed correctly which is a hit or miss from my experience.
The water in the bay I was in wasn’t working and the worker told me move to the next one. After I went they said they can’t refund me the money or put it for me had to put more money since my car was all soapy. Never coming again horrible customer service
Since the owner asked for a review, here’s mine so hopefully things will change. Change machine didn’t dispense quarters on me once , and was not working another time. Water leaking from the overhead hose in one bay, I had a wash as well as my car. The last minute warning is not audible in at least two bays. 10-15 second delay before foam comes out of the brush. Tire cleaner options dispense mostly water. Yes, I am aware it’s “only” $3 but it ends up being $12 because of one thing or another and for that money I can have someone wash it for me.
