What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I adopted my kitten “Poppy” from here in September. I have since named her Mochi. They have a very kind and helpful staff. I told them that I had a cat that was two years old and a small dog that is 4 years old and needed to make sure that the cat I was getting was comfortable with them both. The worker was able to point out some cats that she thought would be comfortable with other pets. I decided to get Poppy and I am so glad. She is a great fit for our family and we all love her especially her brothers.

  2. IVHS is our local animal shelter. They have a new vet clinic building and everything is always clean. We adopted all 3 of our pets from here. They have a great foster program from bottle-fed babies up to elderly pets & can use your help–please volunteer. Their adoption program & system is excellent and handled online with a digital wait-list that texts you when it’s your turn to come in, so no wasted time or crowded waiting around at the shelter to adopt. You can even foster-adopt, which allows you to take in an adoptable animal to see how it fits in with your home, children, and other pets before fully adopting. The workers & volunteers really care deeply and it shows when you’re there. IVHS is also your place to get your dog & cat licenses and low-cost vet care and vaccines. They do so much to help all God’s creatures! Please consider adopting your new pet friend from IVHS–there are sweet, adorable, furry friends just waiting for your love!

  3. I’ve loved all my dogs but Duke was mine / the best dog I ever had. I got him at Inland Valley Humane Society back in 2011. I was looking for our lost family dog, we checked IVHS a few times to see if he was brought in and Duke was part of a litter at the time. After a few weeks of no luck, I chose Duke. He was good luck! As we were walking out, guess who was walking in. Lady handed my dog Buddy right back over. Best day, kiss your dogs for me, I miss them both.

  4. Terrible. This bird is stuck and unable to free itself from something attached to this roof at 618 Eucalyptus Ave. Ontario. Then the emergency officer puts me on hold to get me off the phone. Good job people. Hours later the bird still hangs from a clear line dead. Disappointed completely ar the lack of concern or compassion from these people.

  5. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We went on a Wednesday and found a dog. The process to get on the wait list is like getting a concert ticket. However, it was very helpful. We were third in line and We were able to adopt our dog that Saturday. The process of adoption is very easy. I highly suggest that you fill out the application at home. It helps it go by so much quicker. We were in and out of there in about 35 minutes with our new dog

I boarded my buns at the Fountain Valley location while I was out of town and was extremely worried about leaving my babies for so long, but Caroline took the time to speak with me about what to expect and assuaged my fears. I bought (way too many) toys for my buns and was given photo and video updates of my babies whenever I asked of them enjoying the Bunny Bunch toys! It was such a relief to see them doing well and staying healthy. I even bought a carrot house for them and the team assembled it for my buns to enjoy 🙂 I’ve seen some negative reviews about response time, but considering how busy they are, be patient and persistent and they will get back to you. Also be mindful that they capture photos and are more responsive in the evening. Thank you so much for taking care of my buns, Caroline and the Bunny Bunch! We will definitely be seeing you again!

It’s a good experience for volunteering. The staff are friendly and helpful at all times. They also sell products for rabbits, chinchillas and guinea pigs.

They love the rabbits and had probably close to 50-75 rabbits inside a warehouse. The rabbits are all spayed and neutered, and judging by the cement floor, they all are litter box ready. They are easy to potty train. I have two rabbits I keep in the garage at night and let out into the yard during daylight hours. They both return to their litter box in the garage when they have to do their thing. Rabbits are fun to see playing, but I have had 8 in my lifetime and all seemed pretty dumb. They don’t know their names or come when you call them. Indoor/outdoor rabbits become fairly wild and eat your plants voraciously. An indoor only rabbit will become very tame and easy to sit on your lap. Lastly, they shed.

I love BB Montclair! Over the past 12 years I adopted several rabbits and one guinea pig. I also fostered many orphan babies as well as moms with newborns. I will be forever grateful to Caroline who taught me how to properly feed, groom, and care for them, how to recognize signs of illness, when to take them to the vet, how to give medications, and how to bond them. “Forever home” means a commitment of 8 to 12 years for rabbits. My oldest recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 12 years.
