2 weeks agoWonderful b&b. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly. Rooms are spacious, very clean, and well furnished. Location is just off the the main strip where many restaurants and bars can be found. Breakfast is exceptional. The hueveros rancheros and french toast were done perfectly. I would definitely like to return in the future.10 months agoWe absolutely loved our stay here. Everyone who works here is lovely. The house itself is very charming and on beautiful grounds with fountain and garden area. Breakfast is made to order and it’s awesome. Our room had original plumbing and claw foot tub (love!!!). The breakfast was the best food I had in Bloomington, which is saying a lot. Restorative and delicious experience, I couldn’t have asked for better.a year agoThe house is beautiful and centrally located. We were able to walk to dinner each night, and drive to the local winery to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. The only negative was that we paid for the balcony, but it wasn’t private. Anyone can technically use it (though there was a door from our room) and another room connects to it as well. It made us hesitant to enjoy it in the evenings in case our neighbors were sleeping. All in all, wonderful stay, and we will be back.a year agoI really enjoyed my stay at the Showers Inn! The reception staff was very welcoming. The breakfast team was equally accommodating and prepared a special meal for me due to my food allergies. I stayed in the De’Lovely room and used the room to take a virtually proctored exam. The room was cozy, quiet, and peaceful. I would gladly stay again!

Friendly and helpful staffs. Hotel itself is nice and comfy. But why I still only leave 3 stars here? It’s because the hotel changed our prebooked room without informing us! We booked a specific room for our friends visiting here. But it turned out that the room was given to others. The staff was very helpful by letting us see other available rooms to check in. However, it was still embarrassing for us to take our friends around to see different rooms. Please do better job on communication!!
We had the best time at the Grant Street Inn! The people at the front desk were so welcoming and our room was lovely. We enjoyed the yummy treats in the afternoon and the full breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent! We enjoyed walking around Bloomington, dining at a wonderful restaurant and then walking back to the cozy inn. We will return!
The Inn was wonderful! We checked in later in the evening and were warmly welcomed with fresh baked cookies and hot tea. We had rooms in two different buildings, but both were great. Breakfasts were delicious and Innkeeper David was a delight! Close enough to walk to campus and really close to all the great restaurants. We will definitely stay again when we’re back for this same conference next year.
Stayed there at least 10 times over 15 years. Wonderful place. I’ve noticed that since COVID, the food has changed. Still good, but not what it once was…but what is?
Walking distance to the college, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was amazing served by the sweetest lady. Cool historic atmosphere of the houses makes for an enjoyable stay.
