a year agoAVOID! We entered the room and it was left uncleaned. No bed sheets, no pillow cases, used wet towels in the bathroom, a used glass in the sink. Aside from that issue, the couch had stains that a clean would not have solved, broken tiles in the bathroom. You’re better off booking somewhere else, the place is terrible. The only positive is that the host provided us with a full refund, but we had to jump some hoops through Airbnb’s assistance to get there.5 years agoGreat location. The space was small, but convenient and adequate. It was moderately clean. The loveseat had stains. There was a leak from the ceiling when it rained which drenched our luggage. The shower ran out of hot water when we needed it most. The beds were comfortable and linens seemed clean. The electronic door locks were convenient. The elevator was slow.5 years agoThis is a good place to stay for a few nights. Centrally located to many walkable sights, restaurants, and bars. The building is pretty decent, a little smelly in the front hall, but the rooms are very clean and well-kept. The beds are acceptable, though a bit creaky, and the bathrooms are very nice. The door code didn’t work in the hallway but a quick call to the lock-out number and they were able to solve it while I stood there.5 years agoI really liked my stay at STR Boston. The place was nice and clean when we got there. Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. The size of my room was perfect for my group of 3. The person that got top bunk did not like the ladder, it was difficult and a bit painful to climb with bear feet. Bathroom was a good size. The only reason the is 4 stars is because of the ice cold shower water in the morning. 4.5 out of 5 if I could. Definitely recommend.3 years agoLocation was great but we didn’t feel safe in the evenings. The building has bad entryways. The new owner will probably update so no pictures because I think they will be outdated soon. Price was decent for practically being on the commons.

a month agoIncredible way to spend time in Boston. The boat (Inn the Moment) was clean, and had every amenity we needed. We spent two nights there, and loved the chance to sit out at night on the deck. We could walk to everything we needed. Felt like home away from home. And every single staff member was cheerful, helpful, and you could tell they take pride in the boats. We will absolutely stay here again when we get back to Boston.3 months agoI stayed at Constitution Marina while in town to run the Boston Marathon, and it was nothing short of AMAZING.This location could not have been more perfect for easy access to historical attractions, countless restaurants, and breathtaking views night and day. It allowed me to fully experience Boston without having to walk too much before and after the race. Throughout the week we stayed, the weather went from hot to cold and rainy, and these accommodations were perfect for both. The Blue Waters has a beautifully covered area up top to congregate that was cool in the heat with the windows open, and cozy during the cold/rain with them closed. The boat was clean, welcoming, and left us lacking nothing! The linens were crisp and the memory foam mattress was so comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. The dock was very easy to maneuver, and everyone was so welcoming. We will certainly be back again! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!3 months agoWhat an amazing way to enjoy Boston. Our boat was immaculate. We had everything we needed: towels, coffee maker, creamer, dishes, fresh towels, clean linens, a/c, and WiFi. We had a thorough introduction of how everything worked and where to find things. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and quick to answer any questions we had. The view each day and night was beyond words. Each night, I noticed another beautiful angle from our boat. This is a MUST STAY.3 months agoMy wife and I stayed aboard the Rozinante for 7 nights while were in town for the Boston Marathon and it was amazing! The boat was pristine and the location was perfect. We had such an amazing time and the staff at the marina are first class! We will definitely be staying at the Bed & Breakfast Afloat @ Constitution Marina for all future visits to Boston. Thank you for making our stay in Boston something we will never forget!2 months agoI visited Boston for the first time ever with my boyfriend’s family and we had a blast staying here! Our group was booked on 3 different boats all next to each other which was a plus! My boyfriend and I stayed in the Seaclusion. We had never stayed in a boat before but we had expected that it will not as spacious as a hotel but we had everything we needed. I’d recommend bringing warm PJs on the cooler months as it does get a little chilly at night. The views and location can’t be beat. Walking to our boat along the marina at night was super romantic lol I’d definitely come back here on my next visit.

First issue was with uploading my license. After several attempts I called customer service. After 45 min of them telling me they had no record of my uploading attempts I emailed them screen shots of the error messages. Finally I emailed photos of my license which they accepted.
I then received an email that I had been upgraded. The original room I booked had a bedroom and a pullout sofa. I called to confirm since my son who is 6’ needs a bed. When we arrived the couch didn’t appear to be a pullout and I looked for extra bedding …none. Called customer service AGAIN. No other rooms available in my building. No cots available. They did offer to move us to another unit. We travelled all day and had just parked the car so we declined the offer. They did say another room in our building is available the next night so our son could have that room for no charge. When we returned from dinner no extra bedding or cot. Called sustainer service and they said everyone was gone for the day!?!? My husband and I slept with a sheet. My son is sleeping on a sofa with his legs hanging off the end. Will get to call them again today to figure out tonight’s arrangements.
I have stayed in many hotels and airbnbs this is by far THE WORST all for $525 a night.
Apparently I should expect to be woken up tomorrow and have someone come into my room without my permission because they need to test the fire alarms. I tried to contact them to ask that they come in later in the day so as to not interrupt sleeping in on my vacation and a talk I have to give later in the day from my room. They were not helpful and provided no options. So I’m not even at the location yet and I’m already stressed about having my privacy violated on vacation. I wish I’d booked somewhere else.
I had no idea what I was getting into by booking this hotel for work. There is no staff there to help you when you check in and the support staff on the phone number you can call is very bad. The guy on the phone didn’t know how to navigate the app/website so we went in circles for 20 minutes until i figured it out. You have to create a profile online in order to check in and there is no “early check in” besides paying extra money to get into your room that is already clean earlier than expected. Basically this is an AirBNB model for a hotel. So no water, no amenities, etc. very minimalist.
Overall the room was clean, but it was tiny tiny. Full kitchen, tiny TV, Tiny bathroom.
Won’t be staying at a Sonder again and just going back to a regular hotel chain.
Great experience at this Sonder location. Easy check in using the key codes, clean room with plenty of pillows, and a great neighborhood near newbury street. Can’t wait to come back.
Perfect for the modern, low maintenance traveler. Easy virtual Checkin /checkout in a beautiful historical building. Close to everything! Their online communications was helpful and prompt. Will be back to this location!
