What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. They were great! They worked with us and gave us advice about the maintenance of certain dogs. She was super nice and answered all our questions nicely.

  2. Adorable pets but very small selection. The place is on lockdown and secure. The smells in the place, dim lighting, and overly cautious clerk made me feel suspicious.

  3. Walked in to find a pet today and was assisted by Daisy with WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! ALL the pets were so beautiful but I was able to purchase an English Bulldog as we will call Milo🙂. I highly recommend purchasing your pet here!

  4. We found them on Instagram and she was so helpful to give our decision to get our first pet and answered everything that we asked, thank you…

  5. Absolutely the best customer service. We bought a French bulldog from Find A Pet. It was easy and fast. I simply love this place!

We had a good experience adopting our two pups that are litter mates. They were neutered/spayed current on shots, and healthy. Mandy was quick to respond to our initial inquiry. After the background check was completed we were invited to schedule an appointment to meet them, picked the ones we wanted, and took them home a fews days later.

I love East Lake! We adopted our dog (Moose) from here and we couldn’t be happier. For a reasonable price they fixed and vaccinated our puppy for everything he needed to be a happy healthy boy. We also bring Moose back for Vet visits and daycare (which he loves). The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable about any topics you may have questions about. It is obvious they care deeply about all the pets that come along. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to bring a pet to a good home

Very nice people there… however, we got a kitten from them and they said nothing was wrong with it and we got it home and immediately had diarrhea. It has been over 2 weeks now and he is still sick. Over $1k in vet visits now and still don’t know what’s going on. I already have a cat at home and she is totally fine so I do not think it is the house or the food. I do think they were not honest with any condition he had. Not sure if I would come back here again.

They really do discriminate people and they don’t like Mexicans especially the receptionists they respond quite rude when you ask a question as if you are wasting their time should of known by their actions something was up and very strict if you already have a pet added to your application because they need all information of your pet from all of the vaccines and perhaps even social security number too of your pet the way they are but who would really keep that kind of information if your pet is already a few years old.. That’s not something you would think to keep track of. Also, applied for a kitten but never got a response after 3 weeks til I asked in person and all of sudden the application gets lost like thanks a lot shows how you really care about people of color.

I had an amazing time adopting my pet!!! I visited the website and saw that you can visit the pet orphanage. I stopped by one day and asked to see Dudley who I had my eyes on. There was no issues and I stayed with him for a while. I applied online; it is not a complicated application. The “difficult” part was the communication between the coordinator and my leasing office to make sure that I could have a pet but that was on my leasing office. The coordinator was super helpful and communicative. I stopped by everyday to see Dudley as the application process was still pending which took less than a week. Would definitely adopt from them again.

Richardson Animal Shelter is hands down the best place to find a new member of your family. No place I’ve checked out is as thorough as them when it comes to information about the animals. You know instantly when talking with the staff that they care about the animals and their clients. I am awful with names, but we were helped by a very nice lady and gentleman that both went above and beyond to help us in selecting our perfect dog. Whatever the animal is you want to add to your family, dog, cat, bunny, Guinea pig, etc, they will help you. Go in and get your new buddy because when you rescue them it means so much more to that animal because you just might have saved their life.

Really depressing place. Came here to adopt a cat, but the majority of cats were sick or dirty and living in terrible conditions. Many of the cats appeared so ill that they would not even lift their heads. They only had newspaper to lay on.. I felt so bad for the poor kitties that I went home and made blankets to donate to the shelter so they would have something more comfortable to lay on. Honestly, I wouldn’t consider adopting from here as staff seems to mistreat and neglect the animals. The safety procedures are not being followed, staff does not monitor handlings or make people sanitize between touching the cats and smaller animals- I would not be surprised if this is why some of the animals are sick.

I have volunteered at this shelter coming up on 7 years! I love this shelter so much. The staff is great. Very organized. They all are knowledgeable about the animals and breeds. They take really good care of the animal. The shelter welcomes folks to come and interact with the animals. Check out becoming a volunteer. There are no set hours. Just an online course and an interview with shelter volunteer coordinator, Luis. Sometimes the shelter and front desk are super busy, so please be patient. The staff works really hard. If you are interested in a particular pet, you can find an IPad in the hallway that describes each pet, everything known about the animal, and staff observations. Donations of supplies are always appreciated. There is more info on the website. Update: Summer is here. The shelter has an abundance of critters. Come by and give the critters some love! Socialization helps them get adopted more quickly.

I fostered a momma dog and her two puppies in August. I have been a volunteer for almost a year and truly could not think of a more caring and well-rounded group of individuals to care for these animals. I adopted one of my foster puppies and have loved taking her to say “hi” to the staff at the shelter. They give the upmost respect to everyone looking to adopt and want nothing but the best for all people and animals involved.
