a month agoThis is a nice Kroger, not a Market place but nice. It is super busy here at 1pm Friday. There are 2 cart self checkout and then a dozen or so regular self checkout. It is super compact and not much maneuvering space compared to the bigger stores. Guess they want to pack as much product as possible.a month agoThis Kroger is fine, but compared to other stores the layout is confusing and congested, even after a recent remodel.My main issue with this Kroger is the reliance on self checkouts. While the store has multiple non self checkout lanes, they are rarely staffed and are always busy. This leads to long lines of people waiting to pay for their groceries, in any lane.
It seems the reason this emphasis on customers using the self checkouts is none other than corporate greed. Less workers manning the actual lanes means the store pays less employees. Kroger wants the customer to provide them free labor under the guise of a “quick checkout” when it’s really the only option most of the time. If there were more employees working the actual lanes, there would be much less traffic.
Another issue is the self checkout machines themselves could induce rage in even the most reserved customer. The machines are plagued with errors, slow load times, and glitches. Not to mention the machines always seem to think you are stealing from them, holding the process up even more.
Overall, every time I walk in this store, it’s a cold slap in the face. It reminds me that Kroger does not care about the consumer, only their money. Kroger would rather redesign a store and exploit free labor from people who already have jobs than actually schedule/hire enough employees to cover the existing registers.
10 months agoTucked in the back of the plaza next the Y, I had never been to this location, but i was pleasantly surprised during my visit tonight. The store was clean and bright, with beautiful displays throughout. I was especially impressed with my cashier, Brendan. He was goofing off with a friend, but when it came time to help me, he took it seriously. Him and the bagger (whose name I did not get) were genuinely friendly. Major props to them!3 weeks agoThe new conveyor belt self checkout system is absolutely ridiculous. You took out two regular checkout lanes with cashier and bagger and replaced it with two so I’ll check out conveyor belts. Now the option is to check out $400 worth of groceries which takes 30 minutes on the damn conveyor belt or you can wait in line back to the meat department because we don’t have enough regular check out systems left. All this while Kroger profits are better than they’ve ever been. Come on Kroger do better. Hire some humans pay them what they deserve. If I wanted to check out like this I’d go to Meijer and maybe I should at least their prices are cheapera month agoYou guys have to get the pushy internet sales people out of your store. Whoever had the bright idea to allow this needs to be fired. People come here to shop, not be hassled.

The Maineville store needs some new bakery management. The selection sucks. I can go to the Mason store and find a budget friendly 1/8 cake for $5. There is nothing but $27.99 cakes (if any) at Maineville. Kings rolls aren’t out, Batard bread isn’t out.
Shopped here over this past weekend, very nice store. All items stocked well, found everything we needed, Prices are good. It’s a convenient location and clean.
I genuinely enjoy shopping at this location but the deli needs work. This is by far the slowest location I’ve been to. There could be no one in line and I will still plan on spending 20 minutes waiting. Also always here on a weekday morning….
This place is painful to shop at. Way understaffed. Departments shut down early and sometimes unexpectedly. Also, you MUST check your receipts. Lately, we have found lots of items that were on sale, not ringing up at the sale price. I hope this is because they are short staffed and not all of the IT inputbis getting done timely, but a few days ago I was behind a woman at the counter who had 14 items that rang up in correctly. You would think that a company with all of the analytics that these guys have, getting prices correctly, input would be easy. I am also concerned about the number of elderly people I see checking out, who don’t appear to have smartphones or computers, so it appears that they are missing out on a lot of digital coupons. I really hope they have a program that helps these undeserved people. I don’t see much about it in the stores, so I am concerned that even if they offer assistance, do these people understand how to get it. You would think that with all the problems in the world that companies like these guys, who appear to be making a very good return these days could just go with offering the best price up front and do away with all of the digital products so that those people who really need help get help. Feels like they could do better.
Click list is bad. I use it seice I gave birth and it gets tricky getting around with baby. But they get my order wrong, damaged produce, and always “missing” many basic items. I go in to pick up the “missing” items and so far 100% of the time the are in stock (and substitutions in stock as well).
