7 months agoAs an unlimited member now for over 3 years, every time I go for a car wash here there is hardly ever any vacuums available. There is only 4 vacuums and people cut in, despite others patiently waiting. Now Jiffy Lube has also coned off the waiting area— causing even more congestion. For such a busy location adding additional vacuums should be considered, maybe at the front entrance and add a member to regulate those who cut in…2 months agoFor the most part they’re really great. But they have a habit of having problems and things they need to fix. Which really hurts when you are paying money to get your car washed and the under car Wash does not work or the tire wash does not work or the chamois style dryer just stands there and spins above your car and does nothing. Not to mention the fact the high-powered rocker washer never works. And we have been to over a dozen different Mister car washers and they all have the same type of problems. Somebody needs to figure this out.a year agoI pay for a monthly subscription to Mister Carwash and over the last almost 2 years it’s gone further and further downhill. I understand they likely had to let go of employees during the peak of the pandemic but I frequently see 4-5 people out front checking cars in and since they no longer have people wiping down cars after the wash, you leave with your car looking about as bad as when you came in. I think it’s time to stop hoping it’ll get better and just cancel my subscription. These photos are literally right after I left the car wash. Super disappointing to say the least.4 years agoTHEY WILL NOT WASH DUSTY CARS! I went here to get my car washed after driving through a storm. My car was dusty, but not caked in mud- See the attached pics. The girl let me sit through the line and then told me, “Your car is too dirty to clean. You should go to a different car wash first, then we we’ll be able to wash it.” Are you kidding me? I’m not going to go pay another car wash so I can use my monthly memberships! I had to ask the cars behind me to move so I could back out of the line. It was incredibly humiliating.
I’ve had a monthly membership with them for more than two years. Needless to say, those will be canceled. They also have a tendency to turn off the brushes if you have a rack on top of the car- even if it is OE. Unfortunately, That leaves sop on the top of your car that drips down and leaves stains after you leave.
So unhappy.
11 months agoWashed my car here for the first time because it’s super close to my house, after driving past it hundreds of times. Paid for a wash, even left a tip for the customer agent, washed the car proceeded to the vacuums (which was primarily why I washed my car) and the vacuums were TERRIBLE, absolutely no pressure. Asked the agent for a refund and he told me sorry we don’t give refunds because vacuums are free. Would it be honest for me to use the vacuums without paying for a wash? No! I paid for a wash because I wanted to vacuum my car. Agent didn’t give me a refund, but a comp wash, instead. I wanted a refund not a free wash because I won’t return here ever again. Don’t waste your time at this wash, go straight to the coin wash or quick quack. Anyone want a free comp wash?

2 months agoThe man providing car wash passes was sweet and let me know the best deals, he was v informative. I chose the cheapest wash which was $12, it included vacuums, air gun, microfiber cloths with all purpose cleaner and Windex. They also gave me a dashboard cleaning towelette and a new car scent smelly thingy.
I used their vacuums for an hour and about 13 microfiber cloths. There are plenty of spots for everyone to take their time detailing their own vehicles. My car absolutely needed it!
My roommate made comments on how clean my car looked after. He said there were stains removed from years ago, he was truly impressed. Couldn’t have done it without you guys, thank you Shiny Shell!

I’ve been a member for my two cars now for over a year and I’ve been so impressed with the friendly/helpful staff, the ease of use with the automated gates, the soda lounge, the playground for my son who doesn’t like going through the car wash, the cleaning stations that are always well stocked with towels and cleaner, and the extremely competitive pricing compared to their competition. I’ve tried some of the other membership carwashes and no one does it better than Shiny Shell. It’s 100% worth it.2 months agoI discovered Shiny Shell when i began to research premium car washes in Salt Lake City. I wanted one that provided a top notch car wash, super strong vacuums, compressed air to get dirt out of cracks and the cleaning supplies needed to clean your vehicle.I found all of that in Shiny Shell – they have been awesome. In addition they have 2 different methods of cleaning you floor mats, a client lounge stocked with hot and cold drinks, a kids play ground and the staff have been great. Shiny Shell in my humble opinion is the best car wash in Utah. I would highly recommend them.
a year agoWow I have driven by here a bunch of times and always see the vacuums full and cars in line. Decided to drop in today and this is a fantastic car wash. The staff was great, very friendly and informative and the deluxe level car wash was amazing. Very nice vacuums with both a carpet and crevice head plus compressed air to blow out the jams and trim. They also provide micro fiber towels with spray interior cleaner as well as window cleaner. It looks like if you buy a membership they have a playground and a lounge inside with sodas and other drinks. I highly recommend Shiny Shell Car Wash and will definitely be back.3 months agoThis is my happy place. Getting a monthly membership is the BEST investment. On a stressful day at work I can spend my lunch break cleaning my car. It’s really therapeutic and I’m not being sarcastic. The staff is amazing. Towels and cleaner included. They even have dash wipes and air fresheners. My car was always messy in my younger days. Not anymore!

This place is a scam! They price it so the only option that makes sense is a monthly pass. But Every time I come they have the car wash “unavailable for maintenance” and the vacuums and mat cleaners are not working. The employees are nice and helped me cancel my membership. Time to go to another car wash 💀
Experience 4/30/23
While I was vacuuming my car I noticed that the drainage system in this lot is very poor. I was rinsing my flood mats in the one machine that worked, and water was draining all over while I’m trying to clean my car. not a big deal, but oh well. I proceed to the tunnel
The tunnel took my passenger side mirror clean off! I went around to retrieve it, the employee (who was rude) went and got the soap and grime covered mirror from the tunnel.
Dude refused to take 10 steps and clean it up or offer any solutions. My question is how often is this tunnel damaging vehicles?
there are multiple car washes all over. I had a bad experience at this car wash, I’ll never use their tunnel again. I would advise avoiding this cheap tunnel!
Every employee at this location does a great job! The employees actually put effort into cleaning your vehicle, and this location has two of the best employees of any location I’ve been to: an older gentlemen who is awesome, along with Dano who is incredible and always hustling around. You can tell that both men have exceptional work ethic and care about your vehicle. I love this location because the employees make a big difference.
Car wash was easy enough to figure out but my car didn’t get completely clean. It was mostly clean but there were some bug marks left behind and the trim still had spots. Paying for a Pro wash I would expect my car to be clean
The free vacuums were nice but not all of them worked very well. Neither of the mat cleaners worked, and they were all out of insider cleaner.
This place is nice. Got the wash and was using the vacuums and Dylan approached me and let me know about the unlimited pass and sold me on it. Great deal to keep my car looking its best.
