What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. First off. The place looks amazing on the inside. Clean, luxurious decor. From the outside, it looks pretty normal. Not too fancy. The staff are neatly dressed. We were well greeted. Friendly.

The menu is beautiful. The pictures are well taken and makes you want to eat everything. Not much of a drinker but the bar selection looked good. Went with 4 friends and 3 got the LYCHEE MARTINI which they all said tasted heavenly. Could’ve chugged a pitcher without much thought.

Food presentation was nice. Only complaint is that it didn’t come out exactly like the menu picture. Sushi tasted good. Expected nothing less. We had : the oyster with ikura. Torched tuna (loved the fire under stone). Sashimi (albacore tuna w miso… good & king salmon…didn’t taste much difference from regular salmon other than less fat). Sashimi came out super cold which I commend them for quality control and I should’ve waited a few minutes before consuming. But couldn’t resist.

Tasty Maki (fun mix of fishes). Volcano maki (this was great all over. Looks n taste).

Seafood ceviche (like a salad with sashimi.) Fresh and filled with color.

Cheesy seafood torched in clam shell. (Forgot menu name). It looked good but was too creamy for our taste. We had to splash lemon all over to cut it but wasn’t quite enough.

Also, we ordered seared wagyu beef. (Our least favorite dish. From picture, it was like a thin beef pancake. Loved the tomato bunny tho (went on easter). Nice touch. The beef had a splash of sauce which helped the flavor but the beef tasted way too fatty. Tasted like pure fat and no meat. Probably would’ve like the teriyaki version with rice more. The meat was soft and easy to break apart which makes it easy for sharing. But for $35, not worth it.

We got the pork steamed bun. That was good. Tho overall pricing was quite a punch. I know sushi isn’t cheap but these prices are definitely more on hotel restaurant price. It’s brookline so wasn’t too surprised but not somewhere I would go on the regular.

Fried gyoza was what expected. Tasty and crispy. Tho the dipping sauce was in the smallest dish ever. Could barely dip the tip of the dumpling.

Waitress was nice and quick with everything. She got all the orders correct which I think is great. There were some moments where I felt like she was disappointed because we didn’t order more. I might be too observant but had to point it out. Some customers might feel uncomfortable about it.

Overall, I do recommend this place. Do be prepared for a higher tab because most dishes are $10-30+ for appetizers sized dishes.

  2. I visited last month but I just had to post a review. We had an absolute blast at Ebi Sushi. Wendy took really good care of us and even made all our delicious drinks. Food was all amazing and fresh but would def come back for the amazing service and drinks.

  3. Had dinner on Friday there. The place doesn’t take rsvp, and it does get really busy. Parking on the street is difficult because the meters used to be on the main street are gone. However, you can park in the Dunkin Donut. It is only for dine in, and you need to move your vehicle after you’re done eating.
Food quality was really good and fresh. The price were reasonable. Taxes and tip came to 76 per person.

  4. Gotten rolls here and the food was always good. Customer service has been good as well. However, the last 2 times the fish quality was very good but the fish portion size was so tiny I had to remove a few stars. The sashimi lunch slices were paper thin and the fish on my roll was literally the size of my nail, a few millimeters long 💅 I’ve never seen somewhere be so skimpy with the fish. Solid quality fish and food overall but terrible portion sizes for the price 3/5 👌🏻

  5. Quality of food here is great, love the maki rolls and teriyaki. Nice size portions at a decent price. Can get pretty busy at dinner time so be mindful of this. Has a parking lot as well! Would highly recommend!

In Assembly Row. Decided to try after I looked at menu on line. Got appetizers that were delicious😋. Nice atmosphere, pet friendly (outside dining) friendly staff. Will definitely go back🙂

Server was super nice and even made us a yummy lychee lemonade despite it not being on the menu. We got lobster rangoons and gyozas for apps. They were crispy and tasty. The shrimp fried rice is delicious and bursting with flavor. The lunch bento box was a great value – filling and yummy. Though on the pricier side, I would recommend this place!

I’m usually a bit wary about “pan-Asian” restaurants that serve food from many different Asian countries, but I was pleasantly surprised here. I started with a Whiskey Lowball, which was the right amount of tart and not-too-sweet. Since the weather was cold, rainy, and miserable, I got the Hot & Sour Soup, which was surprisingly some of the best I’ve had in a long time. For the main course, I got two maki rolls. The caterpillar roll was excellent, with tender eel and ripe avocado. The salmon skin/cucumber roll was mediocre — the salmon skin tasted burnt, and there was too much unagi sauce on the roll. My wife got chirashi, which had high quality salmon, tuna, and yellowtail (no octopus, which was just fine with her!), along with 4 kinds of fish roe. My daughter got the chicken udon stir-fry, and she cleaned the plate (high praise coming from her). Service was quick and friendly. Atmosphere is very casual — seems more fitting for a business lunch than date night.

Fancy restaurant located in assembly. We arrived 4:30pm and there were a lot of people here. Food is tasty and cocktail is amazing. Mai Tai is the most popular drinks here. Service also good here, I appreciate Brian and Jack who provides excellent service for us in Fuji. Highly recommend.

I chose the Chicken Lettuce Roll-Ups Appetizer and the Beef and Cumin Wok Dish with a side of White Rice… I also chose Hot Green Tea (very delicate flavor and quite delectable) and Hot Water after that… The Chicken Lettuce Dish was not as I expected and I thought it would come like how the Vietnamese prepare it and forget about the Japanese/Chinese technique to add everything ourselves… You will need to reorder more condiments (finely sliced carrots, cucumber, and green onions) with it to prepare the “taco-like” experience… The Chicken was very tender and there was leftover for a snack or light lunch with the leftover rice… The Beef was definitely marinated in Cumin and Cumin has medicinal benefits; the flavor was excellent and it was mixed with Red Onions, Green and Red Bell Peppers, and Pineapples… I definitely advise to get this dish if you enjoy Cumin and Beef… I ended with Green Tea Mochi, which came with artistic Whipping Cream, Strawberries, and Chocolate Syrup… This was a nice ending, but eat it quick since writing this review and eating Mochi left me with my last bite a bit melted and stuck to the plate… Very delicious… My server was Brian and he was attentive, quick, and quite polite and soft mannered; ask for him and TIP him well…

wanted spicy noodles in the rain. while cost-effective, the service was boarder-line rude and for the small space, there may as well just be an order counter. couldn’t substitute anything, not even a soft-boiled for fried but didn’t matter- fried egg was rubber (precooked) and soft boiled was hard. pork pieces were mostly fat & you pay before even receiving your food. thai tea was fine.

Chive dumplings and fried pork patties were good. Tom Yum Noodle Soup was decent, but barely any soup. Boat noodles had great flavor, but noodles were mushed and overcooked, and there was almost no broth at all.

Affordable Thai street food place with great food and quick service. My friends and I came here on a weekday for dinner. It was pouring outside, but we still had to wait in line to get seated. They seemed to be quite popular among the college students in the area, and it was understandable given that most things on the menu were below 10. We got the moo yaw tod and a couple of the entrées, and all of them were good. Moo yaw tod had a chewy texture and went nicely with the chili dipping sauce. From the entrées, my favorites were the beef boat noodles and the khao moo dang. Wontons and crisps added interesting texture and flavors to the noodles, and the topping sauce on khao moo dang was very flavorful. Great experience overall, and I would definitely come back when I get jaded with Thai food options at other takeout restaurants.

Tried this Thai place for the first time. Their Pad Thai is quite good but I had to add my own cut chilli for spicy flavor. The boat noodles however, tasted unexpected, more sour than usual. The portions were good based on the price. Will definitely try some other Thai dishes next time.

Ordered boat noodles through delivery app. Terrible quality and portion size very small. First and my last time ordering from here. I’ve had better elsewhere and they really give you bang for your buck. Do not recommend. This is a disgrace.
