From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by one of your exceptional hosts and then after a short wait our server, Megan, who promptly greeted our grill side table and took our order. We ordered the Chicken and Steak entree with a double portion of fried rice, and we were not disappointed. Our cook, Parmin, was not only a skilled chef but also an entertaining performer. He kept us engaged with his impressive knife skills and fun banter, all while cooking our food to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the fried rice was packed with flavor and just the right amount of seasoning. He engaged with all members of the table and even the little ones. Megan, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout our meal. We also indulged in some delightful adult beverages. The Peach Strawberry Sangria was refreshing and fruity, while the Volcano Bowl was a showstopper. The presentation was impressive, that added to the excitement. In summary overall, I would highly recommend Sumo Japanese Steakhouse Hibachi Grill to anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience. The food was outstanding, the drinks were fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Chicken was skimpy, one round serving of rice and a small compartment of veggies. Paid 6.50 $ for an extra order of veggies and it was maybe 3/4 of a cup (in a separate container). But the food isn’t always fresh. Some of it sits up there a while. The chicken on a stick was more like jerky on a stick. The fried shrimp was gooey. And the customer service left a lot to be desired. My glass was empty for a while and I had to interrupt one employees cell phone conversation to request a refill. She was on the clock because she seated new customers near me while talking on the phone. She didn’t bring my refill. Another employee noticed my glass was empty and brought one. I’ve been to this buffet several times and it’s usually mediocre, as most are, but today it was just terrible. Cold bar food was aweful. There was a vat of KETCHUP next to overcooked, mushy shrimp. The Kimchi was all wasabi. The chicken salad? IDK what it was but it was not chicken salad. I tried the spicy tuna sushi and the tuna was hard and chewy, like I was eating some fancy dog treat… The Mongolian beef was extremely spicy, and I like spicy. The rest of the food I tried was typical mediocre “Chinese” buffet.
HUGE all you can eat buffet. Sushi and hibachi items available. Reasonably priced. Wait staff courteous and swift. Food was tasty. Good value for hungry people!
We went there for dinner but a lot of the food looked really old. I had some dumplings which were hard on the sides. The stuffed mushrooms looked like it had been there since yesterday. The egg drop soup was Luke warm. The desserts are always the same but bland.
I won’t go back again. I took my friend a few weeks ago and she said the same thing. All of us won’t go back. It’s not worth the price and the food isn’t very good.
Loved the whole experience. If you needed something just ask. They are more than willing to help you with anything you need. Kid-friendly. I recommend everyone to go here if you like Chinese food, Cleal environment, fresh hot food. And they keep up with the buffet very well an keep it well stocked. Lots of seating too. I just can’t wait to go back again.
This place had good food before Covid. Our recent trip was a big disappointment. Dining room was dirty, buffet was missing several items and what was offered was cold. We were charged one price and after paying was charged an extra $3. Definitely don’t recommend it and won’t be back.
