5 years agoSerene and spotless! I was very impressed with my stay. I’ve never stayed at a B&B before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Misha was very welcoming. I did not meet Bob. There is a nice amount of privacy, more than I would have expected being in a home. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. I slept in the room with the heated floor which was very nice. For breakfast I was served coconut pancakes with pecans and a side of vegan sausage (other options were offered). It was amazingly wonderful. I didn’t have cell phone service, but a limited amount of Wifi is available. I’m not one who is glued to my devices, so it was fine with me, but others may find this less than desirable. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at Velo B & B for a quiet get away. You will be treated like royalty.4 years agoMisha, the host makes you feel at home and pampers you at this charming, vegan bed & breakfast just 10 mins outside of Eugene and in the center of wine country. Our room was sparking clean and spacious. All toiletries provided were vegan – which was a huge plus. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very dark at night – perfect for a good night’s sleep. The home cooked meals were fantastic and better than any restaurant. Ingredients were mostly organic or freshly picked from their garden. The common area had dozens of teas to try, sparkling water, and beer. Tons of books and DVDs to watch, as well as a nice backyard patio with fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and 3 chickens to keep you company. The resident cow, Peanut was adorable and even let us pet him. Also, loved how the host donated most of the proceeds to dozens of animal sanctuaries. We left Velo feeling rested and rejuvenated. Definitely stay at Velo if you’re ever visiting Eugene or just passing by!4 years agoI can’t say enough great things about this place. The food is the best vegan food in Eugene. The desserts are the best as well. The atmosphere is great. The hosts are kind and amazing. The rooms are great. We stayed one night at this lovely B and B. The room was small, but it had a nice layout so that we could get our overnight bags open without putting them in the walkway. The only complaint that isn’t their fault is the train that came by at 3am or so and was blaring the horn a lot. I’d recommend earplugs if you have a hard time getting back to sleep if you’re woken suddenly by a loud sound. Other positives: breakfast was included, and it was actually very nice and made to order! It’s not a buffet, which is great. Also the location is about at prefect as you could want. We saw a concert at the Hult Center and it was an easy walk. Plus, there are several breweries, bars, and restaurants very close. And even a couple of wineries. I’d recommend J Scott winery, Coldfire Brewing, Alesong brewing, and Tap and Growler, which are all very close.
Cute vintage cottage vibes, nice cozy little room and clean updated bathroom. Flower garden. Close to the train tracks so morning train sounds, but not too bad. Safe parking lot.
Absolutely beautiful place! The room we stayed in was so beautiful and comfortable. The staff was super nice as well! The property is so well taken care of, and the main building is very cool!
The Inn is in a beautiful spot and the staff is welcoming. We very much enjoyed the complementary glass of wine, and the breakfast. We were a bit disappointed the that the jetted tub didn’t work (would not turn on) the hot water dispenser was also not working, nobody answered when we called 0. Overall, though, the room was very nice and quiet and comfortable.
Always stay here. The staff are wonderful. The grounds are so beautiful and enjoyed a glass of wine outside under the oak trees visiting with other guests. Highly recommend.
