a month agoWhat a unique and great experience! Old hotel completely renovated and converted to short-term rentals. Rooms are very nice and appropriately priced for the area. Less than 10 minute drive to the ocean, Legoland, and the Vista’s “Hoppy Highway” (i.e. breweries!) The 10 year old review is not accurate. This place is great for an affordable vacation in North County San Diego. Highly recommend!a month agoBeautiful place. All rooms recently renovated and the accommodations are beautiful. Great value.11 years agoSTAY *A*W*A*Y* This is by far the worst dump (I will refuse to call this a “hotel”, because it isn’t) I have ever stayed in. The owners/managers(?) were friendly, but that’s also where the short list of positives ends. The negatives … hardly know where to start. Maybe with the bars on the reception window. Makes you really feel comfortable and safe to hand your drivers license for check in through something that looks like a jail window – not! Dirty beyond belief. So smelly you can’t help but wander what has been going on here. Hot, because there is no air con. TV doesn’t work and remote doesn’t even have batteries. Table lamp doesn’t work. Bed stinks badly. Neighbor opened his doors with a screw driver (why bother using a key?). We payed $55 for one night. I wouldn’t even go there if I got it for free, not even if I was payed $55 to stay there. Worst night ever. Only reason I didn’t leave before dawn was because everything else around was full (tried about 6 or 8 places before we ended up here).a month agoGreat location. This place is a gem! We stayed at the tipi and we can’t wait to go back. I instantly felt relaxed upon arrival. The beds were cozy and Kim was very hospitable. Our kiddos had a such blast hanging out with the animals. This is our new goto anytime we visit family in the area. ♥
Love this place. Took our baby girl here for her 6th birthday. She had a blast. You can feed the animals. Horses, pigs, goats, llama and chickens. You will get to swing on the swing, jump on the trampoline and just enjoy fresh air and scenery without a city backdrop. The hosts are absolutely amazing. They are truly hospitable as they open up their land to you and yours. When you wake up the next day depending on if you stay in the air stream it teepee you can help feed the animals their breakfast and even milk a goat. If you haven’t tried milk and cheese from a goat I highly recommend it. It’s better than cow milk and the cheese tastes exactly like cream cheese if not better. I am looking forward to going back for our sons 6th birthday. There is a BBQ on site and an outdoor shower which is powered by solar so you can get warm water. The main thing is when you get here put your phone on airplane and just take in the surroundings. It’s not often you get to experience this. Thank you for allowing us to stay here. Thank you for opening up your home to us.

We recently booked The Wishing Well for our wedding. I can’t express how incredible everything turned out!
Kim and Kiva are incredible people. Professional, yet extremely kind, laid back, communicative and eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Every space is well thought out…Easy access to electrical, market lighting, decor is exactly our style/vibe, very cool outdoor bathroom, fire pit, real wood fire ring in the teepee, lawn games and a kid size art easel for the young ones.
They made it super easy to have our party supplies delivered the day before. Throughout the day-of chaos, Kim was quick to have whatever we needed in an instant! Their property is maintained beautifully and every single one of our guests loved the space, it’s incredibly inviting and I can’t wait to go back to rent the teepee for the night.
I stayed in the 1952 Boles Aeros for a little vacation. So peaceful, cozy and very comfortable. I enjoyed chatting with the hostess, and felt very taken care of. Every question or concern was answered in minutes! Very relaxing, and looking forward to staying there again.
It is a very kid-friendly place, the bed is very comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet, and the animals are very interesting. It would be very interesting for two or three families to gather here. The only downside is that there are no other interesting places around the accommodation, which is relatively simple.
