What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Be aware that their bed sizes are not the standard sizes rest of the world uses. We had booked a room with 1 queen bed and our room definitely had a bed that was more like full size. When we asked front desk about it, they said it is definitely a queen bed which is professionally measured and is called “Hotel queen”. But no where in the listing do they mention it as “Hotel queen”. I have stayed in 100s of hotels with queen beds and this definitely was not a queen bed!

We were surprised to see other reviews later with similar complaints. Even the front desk staff acknowledged that other people have mentioned this before. When we asked them how 2 people are supposed to sleep on this bed, their literal response was “it depends on the person”. Does that mean we are fat?

Either update the listing to say “Hotel queen” instead of “Queen” or update the rooms with actual queen size beds.

We asked for cancelling our reservation for a full refund and booked another hotel. But this wasted couple of hours on a day after 5 hours of driving! Definitely not the service one would expect from a Hilton hotel.

  2. Hotel was great. Room was clean, breakfast was good, pool/jacuzzi were relaxing. Location is good.

But be sure to get everything in writing, receipts, balance paid in full, etc…
Makayla mis charged us. Undercharged us, we found this out at check out. I told the manager on duty, she acted like she didn’t care, didn’t want to make it right, didn’t offer any discount, apologies, or even acted like she cared. I paid the $22 and some change they said I didn’t pay at check in. The money was not the issue, it was how it was handled by the manager.

I work for a major airline, we travel a lot, we have only stayed at Hilton hotels. A, I am sorry sir would have worked, didn’t receive one. I told her reviews cost, and all I got was a blank stare.

Hopefully this doesn’t happen again to anyone.

  3. Overall the hotel was good, the room was decently clean. The breakfast was okay, we have had much better at Home2 suites in the past. There was no bar soap in the bathroom for washing hands and by the time this was noticed it was late enough and we were tired enough that it wasn’t worth going to the front desk. The bathroom door would not latch at all and it kept shutting on its own. There was a used chapstick set up with the conditioner in the bathroom like it was supposed to be there but it was very used with the label discolored from being in a pocket and everything. At one point during the night we could smell marijuana smoke and burnt popcorn throughout the entire floor and in our room. Luckily we had used points for this stay and didn’t pay what would have been over $250 for the night. I would never stay here for even close to that much.

  4. Nice, clean hotel with lovely staff. Away from city center but nice and peaceful. The breakfast was very nice for continental style. There is a cute patio with a fire place outside, there’s an I door pool and gym, also washers and dryers to use.

  5. We left before checking in at our previous hotel to come here because there were meth heads all over the parking lot. Walked in. Front desk associate was MAGNIFICENT. They had 1 room left. And I happily paid. They were so concerned and courteous. Helped me de-escalate from the other hotel just went above and beyond with their customer service. Room is huge. Got a single king with a pullout. It’s clean. Bathrooms huge and clean. We are so grateful because the surrounding area is also clean. Thank you for taking us in!

This was a nice place to stay for a few days. Our room was clean, had a little kitchen in it, and there was an ice maker in the freezer. The beds were comfortable and smelled clean. The hotel itself was clean and well taken care of. I swear staff was cleaning constantly. It’s also close to the USANA Amphitheater, so we didn’t have to drive far to get to the concert we were seeing. It’s also close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. The price is great too. Will definitely stay again.

Not sure about the other reviews but the front desk was absolutely fast and checking in six rooms. Very nice and professional. Rooms were very comfortable quality of the linen and the towels definitely satisfactory. Great place. Will come back. I think somebody was upset with all those bad reviews. I think it was just a bunch of friends in my opinion. Slept very good 👍🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽😁

Clean amazing rooms! We stayed last night, family of 4. Great front desk staff. Room was super clean and very accommodating. Had full size fridge and stove as well as microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. Laundry room available but we didn’t use it, however they provided a laundry basket in the room. Wifi service was great. Hotel is right off the highway and across from the local convention center. Excellent experience would stay here again.

Shaun, the front desk clerk was extremely rude to us when we checked in. Her tone was abrupt, and she doesn’t appear to know the basic words: hello, please, and thank you. She actually glared at us. She should not be working with the public. Obviously, the hotel doesn’t care that they have a rude person checking in guests, based on the reviews left on multiple sites, or they would have dealt with the situation. You can only imagine how they will deal with other situations. Spend your money on hotels that actually are happy to greet guests. Avoid this place if you can, there are much better hotels to stay in.

Also, when we left the next morning there were sketchy people in the parking lot looking in cars.

Ugggg. We were pretty disappointed with our stay here. First time staying at a “My Place” and both my husband and I will avoid this franchise in the future. Service was poor right from the beginning. The woman checking us in didn’t look at us or greet us in any way upon arrival. Very abrupt in her tone and mannerisms. The room was very noisy….thin walls…sound coming from all sides, above and below. I bought ear plugs for nights 2-3. We both slept terribly on the lumpy pillows and extra hard mattress. This hotel was reserved and paid for by my husband’s employer but my husband offered to check us out and pay for a hotel ourselves just so we could get a decent night sleep. Not good.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. It was a NIGHTMARE house. My children were scared and frankly so was I. Let’s see, there’s were spiders and spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. There were holes in the ceiling and walls. Cigarette butts on the window sill. Dirty makeup brushes under the bed. Staples on the door hanging off. It smelled of smoke. The comforter had stains on it! There were Unfinished flooring and pretty much danger everywhere. When I booked with them I informed them of how many little kids I had and asked if it was family friendly. Their response? Of course it is. This was a death trap and I feel no other family should stay here. That night we got there around midnight and we’re given the option by Airbnb to leave right away and get a full refund or stay the night and get a partial refund and cleaning fee. We chose to stay due to having small babies who needed sleep. Well I sent many photos to Airbnb that night and was on the phone for hours with them and they agreed it was unacceptable. Once the owner found out I reported them and getting a refund, they proceeded to harass me and blame me for stealing a remote and moving their furniture. Airbnb advices me to block the owner which I did. They are still to this day trying to justify why their house was that way and still blaming us for things even though we didn’t sleep on the beds and literally were there a few hours. So I would like to save you guys from making the same mistake I did. Here are the photos that they stated they never received.

We have just returned from a very relaxing stay in Utah and we already missed this apartment. On our arrival the apartment was very clean and looked just like the pictures. We didn’t meet the owners, but they left us a welcome note with a basket full of candy bars, just what we needed after a long flight. The apartment itself is modern, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. We had everything we needed for a week from pots and pans to basic supplies such as eggs, bread, coffee, condiments, oil, etc. I can’t think of anything we needed. Overall a great stay! If we ever find ourselves back in Salt Lake City we will certainly return. Many thanks Jonah and Carmen.

The apartment is beautiful and was perfect for us! We comfortably fit four adults and our twin toddlers in the space and it was a great home base while visiting family in SLC. The kitchen is beautiful and the furnishings comfortable. It is clear that the entire space was thoughtfully created for visitors. Our little guy fell in love with one of the soft throw blankets and insisted on snuggling it at night and in the mornings.

Carmen thought of everything, including plastic plates/utensils for the kids and a wonderful welcome basket. Beds are comfortable and the whole place is clean, comfortable, and gorgeous. We will definitely stay again!

We had an absolutely delightful stay in apartment 3 at Redmaple. The photos on the website are completely accurate, the beds and linens are beautiful and the location is easy to find. The apartment is better equipped than any other we have rented- stocked with generous breakfast provisions and all the basic food additional items like herbs and spices to make it easy for you to prepare your own meals. The owners are great communicators and were very responsive and helpful during booking and our stay. If we were going back to Salt Lake city I would book here again in a heartbeat.

This place is such a wonderful little retreat! The place is beautifully decorated, and we felt very at home here. We especially appreciated the free breakfast and a tray of snacks for all of us. The hosts really thought of all of the little details. It was next to a medium-sized road that could have some road noise (we didn’t notice since the home is well insulated), but each bed still had earplugs next to the bed just in case. We all had great nights sleep with comfortable pillows and dark shades so we could sleep in blissfully. Carmen was incredibly responsive, and it was nice that she made an effort to meet us and check-in. When you are staying in someone’s home, it’s nice to have that personal touch instead of simply “here’s the code”. We could get a sense that she really cared about both the place and the experience of her guests. It was our first time visiting Salt Lake City as a family, and we definitely plan to be back both to Salt Lake and Red Maple Vacation Rentals!
