4 months agoKroger on North Main Street in Suffolk Virginia is tha bomb! I love this place. The workers are very polite and the selection is outstanding. The only complaint I have is the Fried Chicken from the deli. It tastes great, just needs more breading. Other than that it’s a wonderful shopping experience. And the Kroger Brands are just as good as the name brands, if not better. FIVE STARS!!!8 months agoAlways clean, well stocked, employees accessible. Never a long wait to check out for cashier or self check out. Items always ring up the sale price. Produce was fresh and employee in the area to answer questions. It’s not as large as the one on university plaza but it is sufficient for most everything one could want.9 months agoTwo stickers. Which one is accurate? What is the expiration and how heavy is it actually?With the labels being covered with newer labels how can they keep track of what product they are selling and how do we know what we are paying for? Is it spare or is it not? Is it supposed to be 3/lb or 6$/lb!?!? Buyer beware. Good meat but bad practice ????♂️
9 months agoUsually have everything in stock or are aware of it. Good variety and selection of meats, produce and food products. Bakery makes good cakes. Mens restroom was out of order for some reason.3 years agoAlright, alright. I’m here for the ice cream. Graeter’s ice cream that is and Kroger is the premier retailer!Great quality! The flavor is perfect. The sweetness is perfect. The density is perfect. It even has remnants of the raspberry seeds.
The packing isn’t what I expected (some air pockets) but it may’ve been done to mimic hand packing. The dark chocolate “chips” are actually Ben and Jerry’s -sized globs of truffles. Quality candy but way too much IMO.
They had more basic flavors but I went with this Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip because it was designated their signature flavor.
Is it better than Haagen Daz’s White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle? Without playing the fences, no. Haagen Daz’s production standards are seemingly much higher and their consistency shows.

I’ve never been in a Kroger that was so clean and full of specialty sections. It even has a wine tasting bar!! I’m very impressed. We’re new to this area and we’re not disappointed with this store has to offer.
4/21/22: the pharmacy here is great.
Good selection but high prices.
Curbside is a joke at this store. I was just comped $15 because curbside forgot to bring out my refrigerated goods- turns out I will be charged for them even though I didn’t get them. I’d rather shop anywhere else than deal with Kroger curbside again.
Whoever does curbside pickup is still lazy. I usually end up going back into the store for whatever curbside didn’t pick up. Plus this store is expensive as hell. For as much as I’m paying for groceries, could you try to sub something like lighters??? I tried calling to speak with someone in the store but the phone tree system is very effective at keeping customers from speaking to employees.
2/2022: This Kroger has been much better the last few months. I’m sure they are understaffed the way everyone is, but they are making it work somehow. ????????????
July 2021: This store’s curbside pickup and pharmacy have a lot to desire. I have been here 45 minutes for one Rx and one curbside pickup. I hope my cold and frozen items are still good when I get home. This watermelon was loaded last next to the door so that when I opened it the watermelon fell out into the parking lot. My whole car smells like sticky watermelon juice.
We spent a long time waiting for help at the bakery late this afternoon and when we asked a deli employee if anyone was working the bakery we got a curt, “I don’t know”…… However when we asked Ruth in the cheese and wine area for help, she called for help twice and then came over and helped helself (along with another employee). Thank you, Ruth for your smile and kindness!! It is MUCH appreciated!!!
I just think it’s very unprofessional to let somebody in the store 20 minutes till it’s closing at 11:00 without letting them know if you don’t quickly ring up your things before 11:00 you will not be able to check out so I was in there shopping doing my order grabbing me something and when I’m heading out the people are telling me I’m not going to be able to ring anything up because the registers the registers close at 11:00 all of them so I’m not even going to be able to be rung up no stores work like that ever I think that is so so wrong you shouldn’t be letting any customers in if that’s the way you guys are doing things the door should have been locked at 10:00 10:40 then cuz I think that is so unfair I was in there shopping thinking I was going to be able to check out like you are able to do it most places and I had to leave my car there and walk off I’m very upset
Carl in the bakery is the best. Something happened with my cake order in the system after I placed it causing it not to have been received by the bakery. Carl was literally walking out for his 30 minute break, put his food down, and told my 6 year old son (whose birthday party started in a hour and a half) and I that “we will figure this out”. We walked out with a cake that said what it was supposed to, even though it wasn’t what we ordered Carl made it happen for us and for that we are so appreciative. Carl deserves all the recognition!
