    The employee (Leah) working the fish section had a horrible demeanor. I understand being passionate about your beliefs but we wanted 2 plecos and we were talked to like we were stupid when she went into how bad they are for the ecosystem. We aren’t dumping them in an outside pond and we told her that. She handed us one fish and when we reiterated that we wanted 2 she stayed “that’s all I have” as we were standing there looking at 2 more. Very disappointed. I have to drive to Tallahassee for my tortoise / fish supplies but I will find another pet store …..sorry not sorry. On a positive note the selection of tortoise supplies was plentiful.

    Not shopping at this location again. Granted, the staff is okay, some are friendly and others are just plain lazy. I’ve never had a spectacular experience with this location but the last time I went was the absolute last time I will spend my money here. The cashier was friendly enough but extremely unhelpful and really came across as lazy and I was not happy about it. So I left the card I was wanting to use at home by mistake and I asked if was able to type my card # in and the cashier tells me that, yes, in fact, there is a way to do so but she wasn’t aware of how so I asked her if there was someone in management or perhaps another cashier that she could call to ask for help so that I could use that specific form of payment… and her answer was yes of course a manager was present but she wasn’t going to call them bc she was sure they wouldn’t know how to do this and that there is only a single cashier that knew the procedure and that person was off that day….. um, excuse me… what? That has to be the most absurd thing I’ve heard because how is a manager a manager if they do not know SOP’s? They have training for that, that’s why they are part of management. Or so one would think. So I paid with another form of payment but I WILL NOT return to this location again. Very annoying.

    Amanda the groomer was excellent! I made a mistake when confirming my appointment through the app but she fit us in anyways. She gave our Yorkie puppy a full hair cut and bath and she has never looked better! We are so happy with Amanda’s service we will definitely be back!

    Not a great experience. Had a appointment for a puppy grooming. Took him in and the first words I hear upon check in is we are really swamped on Saturdays and he may not get done. Um that’s why I made an appointment. So I say okay fine and a groomer comes out and because this is his first time being professionally groomed he might not get anything besides a face cut. I signed him up for the works. Nails, bath cut ECT…So frustrating. I’d been waiting in all of his puppy vaccinations to be completed to get him groomed. We left and won’t be back.

    Do NOT buy hamsters from here. I was sold a young male syrian hamster on 4/3, he was dead before midnight on 4/4 from wet tail. I did return him and get a refund, and they said they had a female syrian who was healthy. I took her home, named her Fawn, absolutely loved her, and then lost her within 5 days. I suspected wet tail again. Petco did give her medication when I brought her in the day before she died, but said they thought she was fine. I do appreciate the staff who gave her medication. I got up every 2 hours to syringe feed her and give her water. She died at 7:15am while my boyfriend was holding her. I returned her to the store where they said they had 2 in the back who were sick, but they still had hamsters on the floor for sale. I had to watch 2 babies die because they are selling sick animals. I could not be more heartbroken.

    The cashier (Quincy, I think was her name) was very helpful helping me find the cleaning product I was looking for. She was familiar with it and showed me right where it was located. We talked about the online product (a larger size) which was not available in the store.

    They have great customer service and could use improvement on their inventory selection. I like it because it’s close and easy to get to and would rather shop elsewhere. Sadly. Hollywood feed is too far.

    Awful place don’t even waste your time bringing your pup here. My dog had a horrible experience here-got really stressed out and they didn’t finish his haircut. BUT they didn’t tell me the only cut half of him until AFTER I paid and came to pick him up. They just called to tell me “he’s done” and I show up, pay, and then they bring him out only then do they tell me oh we couldn’t actually finish him. Will NEVER be returning.
