  1. I love training at Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu La Quinta! They are extremely welcoming and make you feel like you are part of more then just another jiu jitsu school or team, but part of a jiu jitsu family. The instruction here is not only top notch, high level jiu jitsu, but the instructors and coaches here truely care about helping their students not only learn and progress in their jiu jitsu journey but push them and guide them to reach their personal goals.

    Warning this schools family atmosphere filled with respect, loyalty, discipline, positive attitudes, and honor is infectious! The more you train here the more you want to train here.

  2. I started Juijitsu in 2019 at Sixblades La Quinta.. I found this place as a place where you can be comfortable in uncomfortable situation. Kids friendly, everyone is friendly except me😛. Whole family could join this sport. My daughter and I love this place. I highly recommend this sport for all kids, adults and parents. I attached the photo of my self when I was a white belt and one with my professor Steve hargett. Last pic is with my daughter (she’s wearing white shirt just to clarify coz we kinda have the same height🤣).

  3. Dropped in this past week and it was a great experience! Jason’s teaching was thorough and detailed and all the people were very welcoming! Definitely plan to come back whenever I’m in town 🙂

  4. I came across Six Blades through much research trying to find the ideal Jiu Jitsu class. I decided to go with Six Blades for many reasons, firstly the closeness and bond that is present with much heart and patience. The children that are in the classes are happy and filled with confidence. Secondly, I was welcomed with much understanding and consideration of my schedule, my wants, and my needs out of the classes. Thirdly, Jason was more than helpful and the main reason why I chose Six Blades, he represents integrity and heart. Two qualities that are priceless and can’t be taught.

  5. If you’re traveling in the Palm Springs/Indian Wells area or live near La Quinta permanently, this is an amazing place to train. Chris, Jason & Noah welcomed me in with open arms and have been great hosts. They have a variety of classes and are highly technical, knowledgeable and patient instructors. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hobbyist or a competitor, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking here. Enjoy it!

    5/19- just dropped in again after 4 years. Still amazing. I flew in from Seattle to get some sun and I did a drop in at this academy this evening. One of the best jiujitsu experiences I’ve had traveling out of state. The moment I walked in I knew this was the place I wanted to train at while in town. The facility was in great condition. After speaking with Joshua, the instructor, afterward and finding out he did all the work with his own hands i had even more respect for the place. I arrived a bit early before the adult class and watched him coach the kids. It was a large kids class and he taught with great attention and playfulness for the youth, a true example of how it should be done. The adult class started and he walked us through a very good warm up and we went right into the technique. From the way he taught, I knew he had lots of experience and paid close attention to detail. It was smooth and practical for all levels of jiujitsu. I even had the pleasure to chat with Joshua for a while after class. I cannot recommended this academy more for anyone in the area or dropping by.

    Parent of a 10 yr. Old My kid started classes about three months ago. Professor Josh is very positive and patient. This class has a good mix of genders and age levels. My kid loves going to class. Im glad we found this place.

    Professor Josh is amazingly patient, firm, and just does an amazing job with the students. He is very experienced and explains very well to the students the reasoning behind each move. My son enjoys and looks forward to his class every time.

    Master Josh is very discipline and good with working with children and adults of all ages. Takes his time when training and executing. Great place to learn Brazilian Jiu-jitsu the proper way. Recommend it for everyone of all ages.

    Cameron and the team are incredible instructors. They work with all levels of athlete from beginner to advanced. Cameron is truly gifted at working with kids that might struggle in other situations. He is kind and compassionate with the goal of being inclusive while also making kids feel like they can do anything. The goal of the bullyproof classes is to teach something bigger while the kids learn the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu. Training at Gracie is about more than just picking up the skills of a martial art – you become part of the Gracie family.

    Since 1977, I have trained at numerous martial arts schools, in different countries and under various systems (Judo, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, wrestling, kickboxing etc.), and I have to say that when it comes to balancing the requirements for outstanding technical instruction, realism, an atmosphere of encouragement, and student safety, you will be hard pressed to find ANY school, ANYWHERE, that accomplishes this better than this one. And by “school”, I don’t mean the physical structure, but the incredible work done by both Cameron and Josh. The system they use not only ensures great students, but the development of a future generation of great teachers. The teaching methodology is unmatched in quality, detail, structure common consistency, and I cannot recommend this school highly enough.

    Having experienced a few gyms, and the start/stop cycles due to injuries and personal pauses I can attest to the challenge in pursuing a productive BJJ journey. As with anything, commitment and consistency are paramount or one can go through motions for a very long time before things click. Even with commitment at the ready, there needs to be a marriage with technical and fundamentals mastery instruction. Cameron, Josh, and Nikki provide this here in an impressive fashion. They genuinely are passionate about their craft, their operation, and more importantly teaching with excellence. This is not easy to find in my experience no matter the subject. Great school, great folks…see you on the mats!
