  1. I come to Honolulu every year, always wanna find a good gym to train muaythai. I found this gym from MINDBODY, and contacted the coach. Coach Rich is super nice, asked me to come in. Tried two classes there, i like the classes so much and had much fun. People in the gym are very friendly. If you wanna try muaythai, here is definitely a place you should come.

  2. I’m so happy I found this gym! Dropped in looking for a place to train for the week and got to work with one of their fighters/coaches who is fighting in Thailand soon. Everyone here is extremely passionate about Muay Thai so we had a lot to chat about after class was done. Looking forward to training here again!

  3. Great place to train! Authentic Muay Thai with amazing coaches and instruction. The gym has a ton of classes and something for every level. I learned a ton in just my first time visiting. Really appreciate how welcoming everyone is! Highly recommend!

  4. Legit and authentic Muay Thai gym in Oahu. My wife and I were visiting from NYC for vacation and wanted a place to train. They have plenty of classes available for all different levels throughout the entire day. The coaches are very knowledgeable, and skilled. The members are all friendly, and we felt at home immediately. Highly recommend training here.

  5. Walking into a muay thai gym for the first time can be intimidating, but from the moment I walked through the door I was made to feel part of the Mango tree family. The trainers and members are friendly and there’s always a welcoming atmosphere at Mango Tree Kaimuki.

    The coaching at Mango Tree is some of the best thai coaching i’ve experienced. Rich is not only a skilled ex fighter himself, but also fantastic teacher who takes the time to explain techniques. The gym has a combo of beginners to fighters, so no matter what your level you get the attention you need.

    There’s a real strong sense of community at Mango tree and everyone is encouraged to support each other and cheer each other on. Whether you’re training for a fight or just trying to get in shape, there’s tonnes of encouragement and motivation in every session.

    I can’t recommend Mango tree enough. If you’re looking for a supportive community, excellent coaching, and insane workouts, this is the place to be. Five stars all the way!

    Professor Rylan and Professor Matt are wonderful instructors. They have a vision for jiu-jitsu that is exemplified by their commitment and dedication to their students. They understand jiu-jitsu and are able to break it down to teach in a way that is easily digestible, no matter your experience level. They are also patient, ensuring their students understand jiu-jitsu conceptually to build strong foundations. I have known Rylan and Matt for close to 10 years and they are truly masters of their craft. The atmosphere at Gracie Technics is also very warm and welcoming. You’ll feel right at home as if you’re family. The gym is also very clean. The mats are kept in immaculate condition and are cleaned after every class. If you are reading this review deciding whether or not to stop by, don’t hesitate and come on by to try a class! I promise you won’t regret it.

    I started my Jiu Jitsu journey last September so I’m still fairly new to the sport and there’s always more to learn. My oldest son and I definitely learned from Rylan Lizares and the guys at Gracie technics Jiu Jitsu in Honolulu while we were visiting the beautiful island of Oahu all the way from Texas. Can’t thank Rylan enough for the hospitality and the opportunity to come train with them. If you’re ever in the area definitely check them out!!! Mahalo bro 🤙🏽

    I started training jiujitsu on a neighbor island while working there. Once the project was completed I wanted to continue my training once returning to Oahu. I visited two other gyms prior to reaching out to Gracie Technics. The gym manager, Matt, was welcoming and very professional on the phone and in person and offered a free trial class. The experience was exceptional. The staff is very professional and friendly. The facility was well kept and clean. After my initial trial class I was convinced that this was the place to continue jiujitsu.

    I had ZERO knowledge of jiu jitsu before going to class. What got me hooked was a very catchy advertisement and a team member called me to get to know me and ask what I was looking for. They were incredibly kind and personable and it didnt feel like they were trying to make a sell. It sounded so fun and I loved that. After finishing the intro program to jiu jitsu, the class was awesome! Professor Brandon takes his time with the technique, takes things slow if you don’t understand and makes the classes related to everyday life! One of my favorite things about this class is that he has us introduce ourself to the other students to get to know who each other! That’s awesome! I have made new friends and learned very useful self defense skills that could save my life one day! I plan on continuing DVG jiu jitsu, if you are still unsure, give them a call and see if it’s a good fit for you! Hope this is helpful for you, good luck!

    No matter what you are looking to accomplish in Jiu-Jitsu, the experience here is exceptional. Whether it’s your first day or you’ve been training for years, this is the place to be. The curriculum is organized, concise and fun! Not only will Coach Brandon and Coach Garrett provide fun and high level instruction, all members of the gym are extremely helpful in accomplishing your personal goals giving off a true family feel. Finding the right fit in any gym is a subjective experience for sure, but DVG is one of the best you will find, I highly recommend. Thank you so much!

    DVG JIU JITSU has been a huge blessing to our family. I love that we have a healthy, positive environment that we can all enjoy together. Ohana nights are so much fun! My kids are learning a lot about discipline and confidence and get a great workout. They sleep very well on gym nights. This has been my first experience with BJJ. I was a little apprehensive before I started as I didn’t know what to expect but I have been pleasantly surprised and I am loving the intro program! The professors are wonderful people and extremely supportive. 10/10 recommend DVG!

DVG JIU JITSU is a home for anyone and everyone looking to achieve goals, set standards, make friends, and have fun while working out and training. The service is amazing and professional. The Professors and people are genuine and caring. This gym is my second home and these people are my second family. Classes are available for kids and adults, perfect for everyone in the family.     Can’t say enough amazing things about this academy, Professor Brandon / Professor Garrett / Brad, and the other patrons. I’ve played with the idea of finally joining bjj but as soon as I walked into DVG, I knew it was the place I wanted to train at.
