  1. Called ahead for a reservation 3 days ahead and was told they were booked solid, but we were welcome to come in for a spot at the bar which is first come, first serve. When we arrived several spots at the bar were reserved. When we asked about it we were told “Well when you have a loyal customer who’s been coming in for five years, then we make accommodations.” We ended up with one person in our pair standing the hour we were there with several empty seats and tables that were not filled during that time.

    You can decide if this is your kind of place based on their treatment of new customers. For me personally, never again. We ordered the scallop risotto and lobster gnocchi. I was really looking forward to authentic Italian, and I was very disappointed. The food was watery, lacking flavor and richness. Neither of us finished our food. There is another authentic Italian place close by with much better food and service.

  2. I have been to Luce a few times now, and have never been disappointed! I am constantly impressed by the service and the amazing food. We recently celebrated my mother’s birthday and were so incredibly pleased. Bella was our server (this was the second time she was our server) and she was excellent. She is attentive but doesn’t hover over the table. She is super knowledgeable of the menu and always offers great recommendations. She was even in on the cake we surprised my mom with. She is most definitely an asset to Luce.

  3. Best meal we have had in Hampton Roads. Definitely get the octopus appetizer. Amazing service from Reed. We can’t wait to go back!!

  4. This is my first time visiting this restaurant. I had a good time with my husband. Overall, pretty good. The food was great! I’ll definitely be back again.

  5. The Food was full of flavor as were the staff. Hands down our best outing for our time in Norfolk. And the bartender was pro pro. Hostess lady so so kind.
    GREAT GF FOOD FOR MY DAUGHTER. SHE LOVED IT

    It was our first time here and we had a wonderful experience. I chose the Banana & Strawberry crepe, while my husband chose the Prosciutto crepe. He loved his and so did I.     Delicious to say the least!! We tried the strawberry composte, Mediterranean & the Roast beef crepe . They were all flavorful,fresh and a decent size. Did I mention service was impeccable!? Highly recommend

    Great crêpes! The service was great, everyone was super friendly! We went right as it opened so there wasn’t a wait, and our food came out super fast and fresh! They’re light and filling! A must for those with a sweet tooth!

    I love this place – so cool. Really quality, incredible, fancy food that is not over-priced and does not feel pretentious, but just overwhelmingly pleasant. The building and atmosphere is so so so cool and feels special, service is attentive, helpful, and friendly in all the best ways. The food was great, and I would love to come back again – the menu feels very fine-tuned after so many years of testing, and there was really nothing that I didn’t want. It’s hard to put a finger on what exactly type of food it is, it’s just fancy and awesome in all the right ways. Highly recommend; I will definitely be recommending my friends and looking forward to coming back again.

    This review is overdue. I have eaten here dozens of times in the last few years and never had a bad meal. It’s casual but special and elegant but not expensive. The owner is involved on a daily basis and it shows in the details. The food quality is always great and there are always new things to try. One thing that has stayed on the menu for a long time is the potato chip encrusted flounder which is a must try. It’s the lightest possible frying and it’s always good. Many of the staff have been there for many years. The service is always on point, attentive but not overbearing. I’ll be back again soon.

    My favorite restaurant in Norfolk. It’s got this amazing North African contemporary modern blend happening that is not to be missed. The service is wonderful, friendly but not without giving you your space. I came here for the first time 4 years ago and it’s only gotten better. Certainly worth a visit.

    Went to Omar’s with my friend for Restaurant Week and had a wonderful 3 course dinner for $45. We found it reasonable, the food was delicious. We had a wonderful time!

    A very beautiful and well kept restaurant. Definitely one of a kind in the area and the owner was walking around making sure everyone was being taken care of. Our server was very sweet and helpful but we did have a longer wait when it came to refills and me and my friend both asked for no mushrooms on the wagyu burger but we both received mushrooms on them. The fries were excellent and super tasty. The chocolate mouse was great but wished I got the pirouette/pirouline stick in it like the other reviews and was a bit disappointed it didn’t come with it.
