  2. My second visit to Gardner & Midgette went great from beginning to end. The front office was welcoming. My hygienist was friendly and knowledgeable. She answered my questions and cleaned my teeth perfectly!!
    Dr. Midgette was very nice and informative!!
    All in all, a great second visit to my new dentist!!

  4. What an incredible experience. First, I loathe going to the dentist but needed to for an emergency. Everyone on the staff was kind, compassionate and explained each step of the procedure and what to expect along the way. Their office is beautiful with a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Their bedside manner is impeccable. I’m so grateful I found them.

  5. Midgets Dentistry is the best! I needed a crown, and they set me up. I had a sudden schedule change and they were able to accommodate me. During my appointment, we had some trouble fitting the crown. Dr Midgette worked for 2 hours making sure it was perfect. His staff stayed to help as well. Even though Dr Midgette kept apologizing, I was thankful that he was going to make sure it was right!

    I was referred by my Dentist to the Dental school to evaluate if a root canal was needed. Upon arrival everyone was courteous, pleasant, professional and personable. From the front desk staff to the Dental students and professors, everyone worked well together and were affable and accommodating. I am very pleased with my treatment and highly recommend them.

    I have been trying to get surgery since last year . 3 visits one biopsy. I was supposed to be scheduled for surgery within 1 week of last visit. no one has called to schedule and it has been weeks. sent email to assistant manager stating that I am suffering and would like surgery asap. received reply email asking for date of birth. Sent reply next morning. no reply. I have called five times through the process and never received a return call. infection was noticed on my return visit after the biopsy. Not sure, but I think its infected again. I think it is time to give up on VCU Oral and Facial Surgery. If at all possible I would stay away!!!

    Outstanding care was given to me, by very knowledgeable Dental Students under the supervision of a Dentist. I think the care I received was superb, and the staff, including the Dentist assigned to me, were all extremely courteous and knowlegeable.

    Have been using the services of VCU Dental for years. One cannot ask for more considerate care. Today was a prime example of their care. Initial reason for appointment had to be set aside as a temporary filling gave me problems. That meant a later day trip back just for that. The staff went above and beyond call of duty to get me into Peridontics so I would not have to have pain for days and a trip back. Kudos to all who assisted me.

    Getting an appointment takes multiple follow ups that take months. I’ve been waiting eleven months for the 2nd part of a procedure because I was told no appointments were available but I could be placed on a wait list. After getting calls with as little as two hours notice asking if I could come in, I called back and explained that I could not leave work under such short notice. I asked again if I could make an appointment. Again I was told I could not but they would place me on a 48 hour notice wait list. I haven’t received a call since. That was months ago. (My appointment requests were also lost at some point in 2021, which created a 2 month delay.) During my last visit, the employee at the check out desk told me I would need to pay for my procedure in full that day (approx $500). I was shocked and asked if they had run my insurance yet. The employee consulted someone else and came back to tell me I would need to pay at least half. Again, I asked about my insurance and didn’t really get an answer, so I paid the approx $250 and left. (I got an overpayment refund check from my insurance shortly thereafter.) I’ve really tried to be patient and am used to the long waiting room waits, but the experiences I’ve outlined above unfortunately overshadows the care I get here. I really just want to wrap up the second half of my procedure so I can find a new practice where I don’t feel like a burden.

    This is a great dental practice with excellent dentists and hygienists. Chelsea and Erika are the best!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Going to the dentist can be nerve wrecking but they always put me at ease and do a great job!

    This is a practice that needs more than five stars! I was greeted warmly by Jane at the front desk, then moved to my hygienist, Madison, followed by my dentist, Dr. Reynolds. The entire experience was a great one from start to finish and I appreciate all of them so much! Great group if you are in need of a new dentist!

    Went for my first appointment in quite a while. Being new to Richmond, I’ve been having a hard time finding a new dentist. They were able to get me in on late notice. I had Madison as my hygienist, and she did an excellent job. She gave me recommendations on better ways to take care of my teeth, which I think will help a lot. I also saw Dr. Barta, who was very friendly and personable. Looking forward to coming back for my future dental care!
