- Reviews:I don’t know how this place is so highly rated. I was informed I had two cavities and to get them filled with my delta dental insurance would be over $500 for two cavity fillings. They wanted me to do it that day. I didn’t have a good feeling about it, I didn’t trust them. I didn’t get the cavities filled and I didn’t return to this dentist office. Fast forward 8 months and I go to a different dentist and they tell me I have no cavities. What a scam by Diamond Head Dental!! Also during my visit I was told by the dentist “You’re doing to lose all the teeth you don’t floss.” If you want to trust your dentist and not get scammed and not be talked rudely to- don’t go here! I was greeted when I walked in the door! I signed papers but it wasn’t too much like other places. I was seen right away. Clean office and friendly staff. The Hygienist Chantel is gentle and thorough, and she was great and was very thorough in her work, she made me comfortable. Dr. Matto listened to my concerns very well. Amber the assistant was really nice and listened to my concerns as well. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing. Their facility was super clean. And there also opened on the weekend. When I called to discuss the receptionist Melinda said I need to speak to a supervisor and instead put me on hold. Then she went to lunch and NO SUPERVISORS are even in and available at this time. Talking to Jalissa to get names and info she wouldn’t answer my simple question and I had to repeat myself several times to finally get her to answer. My original call was to question charges billed and without looking at my chart or billed charges Melinda thought it was best to advise me what normally happens and I insisted she look at my file before providing a response, as she wouldn’t know what I was talking about unless she did. Training and soft skills super lacking with office staff. Don’t go here! Overpriced too. I have a 27yr background which provides me with greater knowledge of dentistry and dental insurance. - Reviews:This review is on behalf of my child whom the visit was for. Her appt went as I would expect! She received a cleaning and the doctor gave us a full breakdown of her X-rays. To be by my daughter’s side during her appt is comforting for her since her prior appts with another provider didn’t allow it. Doc was gentle and also walk my baby through each step of the cleaning which put her at ease. My daughter also needs to see 2 specialist and both process was smooth. This was our first visit and I’m so happy with the turn out that we scheduled her follow ups at the time of the visit. I would definitely recommend these guys for minors, great experience from mom and daughter! Lorie the hygienist is the best & I simply love her for being so keen and warmth. Would surely request her to clean my teeth again. I love it when I feel comfortable and easy while my teeth is being cleaned.
Hope they’ll stop sending on junk mails on every single neighborhood though. It’s pretty annoying!
Today after a flight to Honolulu, my son had a horrible toothache. I found this dental clinic near the hotel we were staying in. The staffs were very polite and friendly. After a quick examination, the doctor waived our examination fee because we were visitors and had no insurance. It’s an amazing clinic to go to. I have to say that I rated five stars. Much appreciated!
I am in Hawaii from NY on vacation and had a dental emergency. I had to have an infected root canal extracted. This is hands down the most caring, clean and empathetic dentistry I’ve ever visited. They got me in right after I called them, I barely waited at all in the waiting room. The receptionist, dental assistant and dentist were amazing; so kind. They worked with me on the payment and walked me through the whole process, they made sure I felt no pain. 10/10 recommend.
I went in to get two wisdom teeth extracted, and I was very satisfied with my experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The procedure was ridiculously fast. I got X-rays done the evening before but unfortunately the building lost power from a storm. I came back the next morning and I was done and out in less than half an hour. They provided great communication through phone calls and emails to coordinate everything. I would recommend this place to others.
