  1. After exhaustive research, our decision to make Homestead Hills our new home has definitely been the right one. The never-ending staff support from Cindy McAuliffe and April Sims to the warmest of welcome from neighbors has made this life=changing transition wonderful. Our only regret is that we had not done this years ago! Our days can be filled with as much activity as we choose to participate in as there is so much variety. Or, we might just want to relax at home in our beautiful cottage before leaving to join friends for a drink in the Lounge before dinner in our lovely dining room. We not only are living “the good life”, we have peace of mind knowing that should we need medical facilities in the future, Homestead Hills has Assisted Living Facilities and Skilled Nursing Care. We are truly happy with our new way of life!

  2. Homestead Hills is in a great location. It’s close to medical facilities, restaurants and shopping.
    Second, Homestead Hills offers a comprehensive range of amenities which residents may choose based on their needs or interest. This includes but is not limited to dining, transportation, arts and crafts and entertainment.
    By far the greatest attribute of Homestead Hills is the close relationship of the residents. We care about and take care of one another.

  3. We have been residents of Homestead Hills for only 4 months but have already settled in and made many new friends. Even before the moving van left our driveway the neighbors were visiting with gifts and invitations for dinner..The staff at HH has been extremely helpful and responsive to our requests. Our cottage was completely refurbished and all requests completed. We are thankful to be in safe and well maintained campus with beautiful scenery and plenty of walking areas. Exercise classes, social activities, and dining experience have exceeded our expectations.

  4. My mother has been a resident in the Assisted Living portion of Homestead Hills for 2 years this month. The nurses, care services staff, and activity staff are genuine, capable, and deeply invested in the residents. The environment of the facility is cheery, welcoming, and incredibly clean. My mother has continued to thrive here and for that I am truly grateful to this facility. If you are hesitant about putting a loved one here, do not be. This facility will truly put your mind at ease because your loved one will be in the best hands and will thank you for it.

  5. Moving to Homestead Hills has been a wonderful experience! From the moment I moved in I have had so many wonderful opportunities. Each day there are opportunities for exercise, coffee, chatting and social activities that are so fun and productive. We have flower arranging, puzzles, brain teaser, performers, painting classes, off campus outings and Bible study. Everything is so convenient. The menu is appealing and we even have cooking classes.

    Creekside Terrace is one of my favorite independent living communities to take clients. Mandy is an incredible partner and treats everyone with respect and patience. This is a very active community with lots of planned activities for residents and I love that most apartments have a patio or balcony!

    My 99 year old father has been at Creekside since June. We’re very pleased overall. Staff is very polite and accommodating. Food and cleanliness are above average. Many activities to keep residents occupied. Anna, Hunter and Brian have been particularly nice towards my dad and are a godsend.

    My 90 year old Mother has made her home here for 7 years and it used to be a good place to live. Monthly Fees included her Apartment and all services and “3 Chef Prepared Meals a day” Yesterday kitchen closed and no breakfast… plus facility has no toilet paper!

    I have worked with this community with the in-house therapy provider, Legacy Healthcare Services, for over ten years. This community has only strengthened its commitment to serving seniors over my tenure here. As a provider that serves many senior living communities in the Triad, I would say, hands down, this community is the best Independent Living facility in Winston-Salem!!! The residents are happy and enjoy a family-like atmosphere here. The facility is beautiful, and well-maintained. The admissions process is very smooth, as Mandy will offer guidance to make this difficult transition easier for residents and families. The food is not like other institutional style meal service in many other facilities. It is a 4 course meal, and oh my, the homemade yeast rolls are so good. MMMMM! We have wonderful activities, outings, live music, classes, etc. that our residents love. Having therapists on site to keep our residents well and living their life to the fullest is another asset this community has that other independent living facilities in the area just don’t have. I highly recommend this community – 5 stars!

    I moved my mother into Heritage Woods when she could no longer keep up a home. She was reluctant to move into a Senior Living Center, but the staff and other residents made her feel welcome and happy when we visited. Sheila Page showed us the options she had for an apartment and the view from each. My mother decided on the two bedroom apartment so she would feel a little like being at home. All of the staff was very cordial when we moved in and followed up to make sure we had everything my mother needed. Sheila especially made it a point to come and ensure my Mom was getting settled in. Heritage Woods is a very friendly environment and a very clean one. I would recommend Heritage Woods to anyone looking to make that next change in life for themselves or their loved ones.

    My experience with Heritage Woods was outstanding, even though my Dad only spent a short time as a resident prior to his passing. Mary Stone (Exec Director) is someone who has committed her life to helping Seniors and her counsel to me prior to my dad arriving, during his time there and then while he was in the end stages of life was invaluable. Mary knows so much about this service and was such a wise counselor to me as I was needing to make important decisions on behalf of my dad while I was living 6 hours away. I not only felt like I had a trusted advisor in Mary, I felt like I made a new and caring friend. While most of our correspondence was initially over the phone (with my living out of state), when I finally met her personally it was like being with an old and lifelong friend. The feeling of good community oozes throughout the residence, and my interactions with every single caregiver (both medical and support staff) was of the highest caliber. Everyone was warm, welcoming and very helpful. When my father passed, I sensed a really heartfelt caring by the team- even thought he had been there for a short time. I am very happy that he had that time at Heritage and wish he had been able to be there longer. Kudos to Mary and her team, they are truly wonderful and I recommend them highly. I trust that if you decide to partner with Heritage your experience will be as good as mine.

    I am very happy to represent Heritage Woods as a employee for five years. This community brings such a sweet and kind living experience you just cannot make up. The residents are loyal and faithful to each other. We have many capable residents that are ready to volunteer and engage in many activities. It brings us so much joy to help serve them in any capacity they will allowed us to do. I love serving the residents wholeheartedly, they actually bring me joy that helps me stay humbled in my day to day life . 💕

    My mom stayed at Heritage Woods for several years and really enjoyed it! If anything, I wish we could have convinced her to move there years earlier. She loved the activities, the food, the staff, and the lovely facilities. They encouraged her to participate and use her puppets to entertain others. I highly recommend Heritage Woods.

    So very disappointed in Heritage Woods. It’s never easy seeing your loved ones get older and having to find a loving, comfortable place for them. Scheduled a tour for this past Sunday and my mother and sisters joined. Got to HW and waited 30 minutes past our tour time to only be told that Sheila who was to provide tour has now shown up. Suzanne attempted tour and after unsuccessfully trying to show us a room (key did not work) and no one seemed to know anything to share with us we left disgusted. I was really hoping that this place would be it!
