I saw here in a recent review by Sheri Mersinger (see below my review) that there was cigarette smoke around. They didn’t respond to her and explain why there was smoke or if its not allowed. It is safe & secure! The staff is wonderful! Charlene is always super helpful! She truly cares about the residents & their families. They have daily events for the residents & treat them with respect & dignity. They offer 3 meals a day & dining staff. The dining room is run like a restaurant! Recently another friend was looking for an apartment at a senior residence, so of course i suggested the Madison. On every one of my previous visits the food was excellent and all the staff and residents were friendly. During our visits for my friend to complete her paperwork, things were not quite the same, if anything this was even better than i had remembered!! So happy for my friend, and now i likely will get an apartment there as well. It is particularly noteworthy that there have been ZERO cases of anyone falling ill with the virus! Very impressive! The new food menu is great. The place always feels like home when you walk in. Come and join the Madison family. They are at a 90% occupancy. She is so creative and talented in in providing group activities for the residents at The Waterford at Thousand Oaks in San Antonio,TX. My mother is a resident and has been very active and participatory in all the activities coordinated by Cindy. Not only is Cindy creative, but she is energetic, encouraging, and very personable. She communicates and interacts with the residents, visitors and staff very well. Cindy provides quality crafting activities, games, and entertainment that keeps the residents active and happy. She always has something fun on the agenda for anyone wishing to participate. Cindy encourages family members and friends to participate and join in as well. For seniors who need a more structured community, but have the fear of an assisted living environment, The Waterford would be great. Seniors are empowered in their independence and self sufficiency, but if needed, medical wrap around supportive services can be brought in. The amenities here are awesome! The community is quiet and very safe. Nina and the management team and staff is amazing. Always available and supportive. Cindy, the activity director has an amazing agenda every month. She also keeps the common area’s so festive. The residents have a neighbors supporting neighbors mindset, looking out for one another. I love this community. I have lived her for a year and a half it will be a whole 2 years in August, I love the grounds here some other places have no since of community and here we have lots of beautiful places inside and outside to enjoy, my apartment has valued ceilings and that was the first selling point for me it makes the place feel more spacious given the square footage, we have a amazing community full of lively and friendly residents and staff, everyone is so helpful and tolerant and the front desk is so knowledgeable on us residents they know all our names and always so cheerful. Activities for everyone and I would recommend living here over anywhere else!
Ever since my father decided to live here, he has been so happy. He loves all the amenities, activities, staff and food. We have only good things to say.
As a contractor we love working at Independence. All of the staff is wonderful, kind, and helpful. They take great care of their residence and the facility. Proud to be a part of keeping everyone here comfortable, safe, and happy.
Well like most people say , the staff was super sweet . Just make sure your loved ones give a 30 day notice before passing away , if they don’t they’ll pay an extra month like I had to . Still grieving the loss of my father and the fist thing they said was “ well you’ll need to give 30 days notice “ . WOW !!! Just WOW !! At least I know where not to go now .
This is a magnificently beautiful place with lots of activities to keep active. I want to live here! The staff is so wonderfully caring, and the residents are friendly neighbors.
