  1. We are coming from a neighboring county rec league and have been impressed so far with this league. The facility is awesome. It’s well organized and the game schedule flow is great considering the amount of traffic they have. The competition is good, and it’s a great chance to meet new families and make new friends. And, as in any league, the refs are not going to be perfect, but it’s an opportunity to teach the kids to respect the refs, and that not every call will go their way. Overall, we are impressed.

  2. Great venue for the activities of those involved. The fee is appropriate for the type of involvement and it’s very family oriented and the food service is fresh and affordable.

  3. The seats are perfect. Super soft, with backs, and feet space. The property has many courts, a food stand and this particular time they had the grill going with hotdogs, burgers and chicken. They have.enough bathroom stalls and great parking too. I like it here. We should have one in the Queen City like this.

  4. The facility was one of the venues where teams participating in the Bluegrass Classic played. The women’s restroom was spacious and well-maintained. The biggest challenge for us was parking. It wasn’t difficult to locate but it’s not visible from the main highways or traveling routes. There are multiple courts and a concession area.

  5. Fantastic facility! Family oriented. Concession stand has fair prices. The court I was playing ball on had rim that was bent by a kid trying to show off. We told the staff, they had it fixed within MINUTES! My only suggestion is to have a refill station for water bottles. The water fountain it’s lacking. But that’s not enough to take awaya star star from this 5 star facility. Visit and enjoy!

    I’ve rented this space twice in the past, but today’s visit was very disappointing. I had always recommended this place to others because it is a one-stop shop, affordable, and easy to book. The visit was ruined by a very unfriendly lady at the front desk. It was like our presence irritated her. She was not welcoming at all, and even made statements toward myself and my guests that came off extremely rude. Also, I feel a little cheated, because I actually only used the party room for 1 hour, but still got charged for 2 hours. Was told upon arrival buy a younger guy that it was ok for us to go ahead and leave our stuff in the party room, but never said we would be charged additional for that. But lady was so snippy, that I didn’t ask about it because I didn’t want to start an argument. Unfortunately, they’ve lost my business at this point.

    My daughter has trained at the YARD for the past 6 months, and I will tell you if you have a young athlete in volleyball, basketball,softball or baseball this is the only place in Lexington that I would go. The staff there is wonderful always there to help and just ask how your doing when you come in. Great place and great people, we will continue to train there going forward. Highly recommend.

    No heat, no parking, no concessions, not allowed to bring food and drink in, no game balls, no flags(volleyball tournament) no seating, no bench for team to sit, and a $10 entry fee on top of that…unfriendly lady at the front desk.

    I’ve heard great things about The Yard-but never had the opportunity to visit until today. It is well organized, clean, and offers a variety of sports areas. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The lounge was perfect for our team get together. Very impressed…will definitely be back!!

    Place was big and roomy, didn’t take long to set up pitching machine. Rented for 1 hr had plenty of time to put 6 buckets of balls down range split between 2 young men. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to put in work for their season. Only downfall for me was the distance from my house , I would gladly drive again in future for training. One other thing maybe if they had a bat or 2 they could offer to use, we brought our own but by the time we were finish it was basically useless bc it bent. Once again not their fault but it would be nice to be able to try a different bat or 2

    My 11yo son and I have been visiting D-BAT since their first day of business earlier this year. The owner and GM gave us a 1:1 tour showing off the facility and all the state-of-the-art equipment. To say I was impressed would be an understatement! I signed up as a Platinum member on the spot, and we definitely get our money’s worth each month. The front desk staff and professional instructors are fantastic! I highly recommend Coach Jack Taylor. Within just a few minutes of working with my son, he identified several ways to improve both his swing and pitching mechanics. He’s now hitting harder, pitching much better and most importantly, he’s feeling more confident in himself as a player. We’ve also joined a few of their clinics, attended a friend’s birthday party, and spent more than a few bucks in the ProShop (cheaper than Dick’s or Amazon due to the Platinum Member discount). My son loves to meet his teammates for some impromptu workouts. They love jumping in the bullpen cages to check their pitch speeds on the radar. The two HitTrax lanes are an added bonus. The parent lounge is a great spot for me to relax or get some work done too. Thank you Leon, Donovan, Coach Jack and all the D-BAT Lexington team for bringing such an amazing facility to the area.

    Our 8 year old son attends weekly hitting/fielding lessons and has attended numerous clinics at D-BAT. Their instructors are amazing and our son continues to progress. He loves going there, and everyone is helpful, professional and friendly. The facility is top-notch and always clean! SO thankful we are part of the “D-BAT Family”!

    My youngest son went to the New Years baseball camp, and absolutely loved it! He talked all evening about how nice his coaches were. I called several times the day before to ask specific questions about the camp, and all my questions were answered very thoroughly. Looking forward to coming back to D-Bag again soon!
