- Reviews:What a fabulous experience. We did a beginner mother/daughter self defense course for our girls heading to college. It was fantastic! We ALL left feeling so empowered! Chad and Chrissy did such a thorough job of not only situational awareness but also physical moves. No child should go to college without this knowledge. Obviously they do more advanced classes. We had 15 people that have never taken a self-defense course. Chad and Chrissy are awesome at meeting you at your level! No one should send their children away with out taking a class! He works hard to train kids and teach them values they can take with them beyond the gym. But also, it’s a laid back nonjudgmental gym that you can comfortably learn the basics. I have a lot of respect for him, because he genuinely cares about the community. More business owners should strive for this kind of excellence. Similarly, the staff he has, such as Brian, operate with similar standards. Chad Chilcutt and his knowledgeable/friendly staff have welcomed me with open arms and have provided me with tools to achieve my fitness goals. I attend kickboxing classes 3-4 times a week. They enjoy the classes but more importantly love talking with Chad (owner) about their day at school. Chad is always so attentive during their long stories which makes the boys so happy. They keep it very professional there and while you wait you can actually register in fitness kickboxing classes and that’s what I noticed many parents do. My sons and myself started in August and the change I have seen in my boys in regards to focus and commitment is amazing! The instructors are great with kids, they have party nights, can host birthday parties, and more! They also offer amazing adult classes that I love and look forward to attending. Mr. Dale is serious about self defense and has a huge love for martial arts and it shows in how much he genuinely cares about his students and their families. From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with smiles. The instruction here is top notch and the atmosphere is extremely inviting. Everyone has been extremely helpful and asking questions is encouraged. If you’re looking to try out any of the disciplines here I would highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
I just started here and have been absolutely loving my experience so far. Every instructor is super knowledgeable and has taken time to make sure I really understand what’s going on, which is so helpful because I am lost about 99% of the time. Lol! I’m so excited to continue learning and practicing a new skill here! Highly recommend! 😊
I love coming to this gym everyone is so nice and accommodating from the way they treat my kids to how thorough the instructors are. This is hands down the best gym in town. Would highly recommend.
Memphis Judo & Jiu Jitsu has been an amazing experience for the 3 days that I have been to class. It’s an awesome workout that has plenty of awesome people that want to see new comers succeed. It’s awesome learning new things each day and finally pulling off what you have been practicing. For being such a small gym there are huge opportunities for growth in all areas. I just started class this week but I can assure you I’ll be coming consistently in the future.
