  1. I have been very happy with this gym. I have been going for about a year now and have participated in a variety of classes. It is more expensive than some other gyms, but you can take as many classes as you want at no additional charge, so if you can do that, the cost is well worth it. The staff is great, they know you by name and encourage you toward achieving your goals. There is personal training available. The trainers are excellent and you will have the opportunity to excel in the areas you want. It is kid friendly. I have 2 children under 8 that participate in the wrestling class. It is overall a healthy environment. I have found nearly everyone to be friendly and respectful.

I left Raja’s because of their sugar coated ways with low key bs social circles; I’m not saying this gym is perfect because it not there are a few people in there i have encountered that are extra salty but that is pretty much anywhere you go, there are good people in there. I have a lot of respect for Cody Freeland the manager over the gym. This gym is not a body building gym the name speaks for itself “ UFC “ , they are primarily a martial arts gym first and fitness second. So if you want to get a taste of everything from grappling to striking without much sugar coating than give this place a try.

  3. Love everything about the UFC gym. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Facilities are clean and up to date. Great classes and events. My favorite things are the workout area, and the sauna!!

  4. I have been at the UFC Gym in Greenville for over 4 years. This gym is the best gym in our area. The coaching staff is amazing and they always push everyone to do their best. I have recommended this gym to a lot of friends who have now become members. By far best gym in Greenville, SC. Thank you Cody for all the effort you put into making UFC Gym Greenville SC the best gym in town

  5. I wish I could give more than 5 stars – this place deserves much more! I do the fitness classes, and my husband does jujitsu – 10/10! I have personally taken classes from many of the coaches, and they’re all phenomenal. Each coach and staff member cares about you as a person – not your money, title, or how fit you are. They’re all encouraging and provide a clean, safe environment for families. If you’ve been on the fence, come join in. You’ll be welcomed!

    My grandson started Martial Arts with Beckham in July of 2021, since starting these classes, he has become stronger mentally and physically. Joe Beckham is an excellent trainer who cares about each student. He takes pride in training each students to achieve their personal goals as well as ensuring they are fully capable of defending themselves if every necessary. If you are looking for somewhere to take your children or the entire family I highly recommend Joe Beckham at Beckham Martial Arts & Fitness.

    My two children are enrolled in Mr Beckham’s martial arts class. We can’t imagine taking our kids anywhere else. He teaches so much more than self defense. He’s tough and they respect him. Highly recommend.

    Training at BMAF has been a great experience for my kids and me on many levels. My kids started with Mr. Beckham first and it was inspirational as a parent to see him in action with them (and the other children) because he deeply cares for them each as individuals, and because he is fair and he is strict when necessary. Mr. Beckham takes the time to explain things so that everyone understands, and brings deep knowledge and experience in his art and the art of living that he imparts to us in his own charismatic style. I also appreciate that with all his seriousness and dedication to aikido, Mr. Beckham maintains a sense of humor, and brings a spirit of enjoyment to the dojo. His classes are informative, tough, and fun. All of the instructors at BMAF are excellent in their individual ways, and each one brings his or her life experience and love of the art to their classes. Perhaps the best thing is that Mr. Beckham and his instructors create a family atmosphere with compassion and respect. I could go on and on but my review’s already getting a little long so I’ll just sum it up and say that I love studying martial arts at Beckham Martial Arts and Fitness!

    I started with Mr. Beckham in the summer of 1991, just before I turned 8. I moved through the ranks from the kids class to the adult, and gained not only rank, but life lessons from both instructors and fellow students. This dojo isn’t just about self defense. It’s about betterment of mind and body. Lessons are taught here by people who care about your wellbeing, and your ability to defend and grow yourself. I still train with Mr. Beckham, and my oldest son trains with me now. Egos are checked at the door, and only those willing to learn, grow, and help others stay. Can’t recommend enough.
