What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Our family of six had an excellent Sunday brunch here. We sat outside right next to Rittenhouse Square and we enjoyed all the dishes. The kids especially loved the breads and the pastry basket. It gets quite busy, so it’s a good idea to make reservations.

  2. I think there is more hype than this spot delivers on. The food was good. The wine list was not what I expected and didn’t meet my expectations.

    The bread basket was INCREDIBLE.

    The dessert was INCREDIBLE.

The salmon was OKAY. Very average and nothing special.

The veal dish was packed with flavor and delicious.

  3. The atmosphere that they created is very Parisian. It’s a beautiful restaurant with attentive staff. The food was mostly amazing. The tartare was phenomenal. It’s always a good sign of quality if tartare is good. The gazpacho, while not French, was delicious. The only disappointment was the escargot. It’s already taken out of the shell and put into a tiny cast iron pot of delicious butter but that’s mostly just to mask that there’s maybe 2 escargot and the rest is just quartered mushrooms. Overall, pretty positive experience

  4. First of all I always recommend Places like this because of the whole experience. The vibe was jazzy and had an art deco vibe.. so cool. Philly always has something to offer.. so rich in history. The beet salad was really delicious and the bread was fresh, my ice coffee was absolutely on point.. so good.

  5. Went here on a gift certificate. Made reservations a while back. Don’t try to just stop by for a table, although you might get lucky. We sat at a “window” on a gorgeous spring day. People watched while we ate brunch. Great service by Jose. Very good food. Yummy bread. Decent drinks. Not inexpensive.

A delight for the eyes as well as your taste buds. Amazing interior of the building was fun to see. For dinner, we shared several appetizer plates and enjoyed a few custom coktails. Really liked the cheese curds and the spicy margarita. We sat inside, but made a point of looking around at all of the outdoor areas available on our way out. The beer garden with its own food truck is a fabulous idea. The plants and landscaping make the whole place look festive and inviting. Cute spot!

We dined at La Peg tonight based on the smaller bites and appetizers options. From the second we walked in, the staff was pleasant. The building and views were great. Tables were spaced out enough to have privacy. Our server Emmanuel was the best server we have had. His level of attentiveness and knowledge was what we normally have at 5 star restaurants. He was around the perfect amount of time but also allowed us to have time to enjoy our meal. There was also a younger gentlemen refilling waters and cleaning tables, didn’t catch his name, but he was very pleasant! The food was great. The options were interesting. The shrimp cocktail was so good, we ordered a second! We ordered 5 small bites and 3 apps and were more than enough full. If we are in Philly again, we will make it a point to eat here again!

La Peg has been on my list for a while. Glad I finally stopped by. Always looking for something different. Honestly, best in warmer weather. They have great outdoor seating / bar. Games including beanbags (cornhole). Inside: great atmosphere / service. Only ordered 2 drinks (bay breeze / diet coke). Friendly bartender, very attentive to all guests. Overall, nice layout / design including a second level with tables. Highly recommend and will stop by again to try food!

The service was fantastic. The striped bass was spot on delicious; however, the greens served with it had way to much salt so that you couldn’t enjoy the rest of the food, and the pickled side dish lacked overall flavor of any kind.

I loved 😍 this place. Let’s start with our Waitress Sarah. A wonder host, and extremely knowledgeable on the menu, then The Trout was lightly batter, and not over seasoned. The mushroom perfect side. And the bubbly and oysters .

This place has such a lovely vibe, super professional and friendly staff and great food. Be prepared for slightly higher price points, but it’s worth it. Incredible raw bar. The ambience is great – cozy, warm lighting, dark wood. Everything was so delicious we accidentally ordered 3 desserts.

Darren at the bar showed me awesome hospitality. He crafted a lovely Bijou for me and helped me decide on two really delicious dishes for dinner. I’ll for sure be back next time I’m in Philly. Great atmosphere, could see it being a great place for date night.

Can’t go wrong here even if you tried. The food is stellar – every dish is creatively designed and delivers with the freshest of ingredients. Bespoke cocktails with a carefully curated wine and beer list make it a great place even if you only want to hang at the bar and enjoy the ambiance.

The atmosphere of this place is very lovely. Perfect for any kind of date, anniversary, dinner. I ordered the escargot which is in a cream sauce, and you eat with bread. Cheese plate, and the main course of fois gras on grilled bread with candied kumquats. Very rich, could barely finish, but absolutely decadent.
