  1. Pool is only allowed for residents, so you cant enjoy it with your brother or a friend , even when it is empty.
    So the best thing in this community is subjected to some rules, that we dont even know about.

  2. Be careful here, everything is not what it seems, especially the people in charge. I almost fell big time in starting to buy an empty 2br from the man who is also maintenance. Things did not seem quite right though. I heard stories from neighbors saying he was aware of the termite problem and that he knows of the soft spots in the floors and the issues with still having some of the original plumbing and wiring (still some aluminum wire). All cupboards are original, i.e. manufactured wood, in this case from 1966. I fortunately was able to easily break the contract and found a much nicer place in a cleaner less crowded park so it has worded out.

  3. Nosey neighbor called Park staff about my car being parked in front of their trailer. I was there over 4 hours, that person never came outside once. Then leaving I noticed the man outside of another trailer. Not actually a man but a little statue of a Black man at the front door. About 30 years ago those went out of fashion. Replaced by a little White man, something about racism. I guess that family didn’t get the memo? I don’t know enough about the inhabitants to judge them, but maybe they’re sending a message? Fortunately, times have changed. I continued driving to my house, not a Trailer. No statues like that in our much larger neighborhood.

  4. New company has continued to do work we are living here has suffered through this and the only compensation we received is rent going up. If you are 55 and over look at it all before you commit to buying in here they will do these things and in a heartbeat sell and double their money. As a handicapped person they have never put a lift in the pool so I never had a chance to swim. Motor cycles are loud, security at minimum . I can only help you read and check before you buy.

    Wish I could give no stars !! The office is very rude, I called them and they hung up on me 3 times. Every time i called she answered very rude. She has a Horrible attitude and is never at the office. People who live there also tell me she is like that with everyone and rude to everyone who lives there. All the trailers are dirty on the outside, everyone parks in the middle of the road, and the office lady is very rude, has a foul mouth and should be fired !!

    I just called. The woman who answered the phone did not introduce herself or the Mobile Home Park. I thought I dialed the wrong number. When I asked about availability she just said we don’t have. Not the tone I expected from a business beginning with the name “Friendship.” Very disappointment with the poor customer service, I do not care nor want to be bothered attitude. Perhaps, the name should begin with another word other than “Friendship.” 🙁

    Went there to see if they had something for rent. But the owner seemed like she didn’t like white people. I think she’s prejudice and I’m thinking about reporting her! I’m not that way.

    I had to experience it before I could believe just how awesome this Holiday Retirement community really is in every way. The staff, led by Kelley Yoder (General Manager), treats the residents of this Independent Living community with loving care. The entire management team and staff work together in harmony to provide an enriched life experience. The residents themselves reflect the care and attention they receive and share in interesting activities both on site and out in the surrounding area. The meals are varied and delicious, three time a day. WOW, this is the Life!

    What a great experience at Holiday Desoto Beach Club (a Holiday Independent Living Community)! The staff at this community is amazing! It is team work in all areas. The residents are warm and friendly and the food is awesome! They obviously have a great chef! General Manager, Kelley Yoder, has a positive attitude and love for the residents, which is reflected in all her staff.

    Katy was amazing. She is very knowledgeable and great follow-up. After the tour, I had lunch to try the menu. Delicious apple pie. What I liked the most is staff was very welcoming and they all pitch in for helping the residents during lunch. The apartments are being renovated ongoing and housekeeping is included. And pricing is reasonable.

    I took advantage of Holiday’s travel program and enjoyed a stay at DeSoto Beach Club. The guest room was beautifully decorated with beach theme, the hospitality/food gracious/delicious, and the managers were so energetic and attentive to all. What a nice experience!

    My mother-in-law has lived there for almost 6 years and absolutely loves it there. We have found the staff to be very in tune with her needs–well beyond what one would expect from an independent living community. She truly feels that it is her home. Each staff member (including each member of the management team) has taken the time to get to know her and is able to read her moods and anticipate her wants and needs. We honestly have had no issues with her care. In addition to making her feel at home, we feel welcome and comfortable there. We feel so fortunate to have found her a home there. Desoto Beach Club has consistently exceeded our expectations in all respects.
