  1. This is a wonderful apartment complex, the residents here are so kind and lovely. The main lobby has quiet down since the pandemic but before there were always a place for people to socialize, play piano, and get cup of coffee in the lounge room.
    The staff are patient, diligent and I appreciate how they always have a smile on their face. It is a small staff with a big apartment complex, I think they do their best.

  2. I have lived here two and half years and I love my place. It has everything I need in a comfortable space. The amenities are great too. I like that I can do my execises right her in the building and can have my hair done without going outside. I really want to shout out to our maintenance staff. They do an excellent job and are so pleasant to work with. Thanks to the staff for a job well done.

  3. -Parking is terrible (-4) only 2handicap parking spots by main entrance. Alot of walking which is fine w/me, but noticed few others they have hard time walking along way. Butt In all it’s a nice place. I’ve been trying to get an application for some time, 4wks now, Still waiting🤨

  4. Don’t move here, worst place possible. People smoke in their apartments there is weed smell all floors suspicious activities going on all hours of the day/night apartments are small appliances are cheap walls paint are trash. There’s cracking on the walls, the toilets clog every other week there’s electric problem The fridge don’t work properly maintenance team don’t know what they’re doing. Management are rude, racist, liars and don’t care about helping their residents.

    My parents lived here for almost 10 years. They absolutely loved it, and they made many friends while there. It was hard for them to leave, once my father required more nursing care, and Nokomis Square will always hold a special place in our heart.

    My friend has just acquired his new home, and I saw it August 11th. A gorgeous, immaculate environment; so complete in so many ways!!! So happy for him! And he is quite excited about being there!!! The west side garden area was just darling!!!! Great place!!!

    My grandma lives here and my great grandma also lived here for many years it’s a wonderful community here and the most friendliest people I visit my grandma a lot and almost all of The residents have gotten to know me by first name as I with them. Everyone looks out for each other and it’s like a giant family here.

    I posted a review about a year ago extolling the virtues of The Kenwood and how happy my mother was there. At that time, she had been living at The Kenwood for a few months. Now, a year later, we are just as pleased. I say “we” because having her so happy and well cared for not only makes me happy, it also means I don’t need to worry. I highly recommend The Kenwood. While my mother uses a wheelchair and needs a certain level of assistance, I see residents of all levels of independence, and everyone seems to be happy and enjoying life.

    If you are looking for an assisted living facility for yourself or loved one you have found it. The Kenwood is really an amazing place. Staff are absolutely fabulous, all of them! The building is very nice, interesting activities and the most impressive thing is that everyone I’ve talked to that lives at The Kenwood loves it, I mean they really love it. You can feel the upbeat positive vibe throughout the facility. The Kenwood should be a blueprint on how to do Assisted Living right. Kudos to everyone there for having such a great place! So thankful!

    Excellent staff, nice apartments, many programs for residents and transportation to key areas of the city. The Kenwood is located near Hennepin Avenue where there are many businesses available to residents. We can’t say enough about Karen Edberg, who was (and is) always available and who made our transition from Oregon to Minneapolis seamless. Many of the staff have been here for years, which speaks to the good relationship between management, staff and residents. We look forward to many happy years here.

    The Kenwood is a wonderful place. Everyone is so friendly, both the staff and the residents. You couldn’t ask for nicer people. Mom’s seventh-floor apartment has lots of windows and light, and room for everything she wanted to bring with her when she moved in two years ago, including her piano. It’s an easy walk to the Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden and an even easier walk to a beautiful neighborhood park a block away. They have a very nice dining room in the building that serves good food, where I occasionally joined Mom for meals pre-Covid. During the last year and a half, the staff at the Kenwood has kept all the residents safe, and I truly appreciate that. I am so grateful for that. But I very much hope Mom never has to go through another round of extreme isolation again. The people who live at the Kenwood are an independent, energetic, accomplished group, who engage with life and the community. And they, together with the equally wonderful and accomplished people who work there, make it the good place to live that it is. Highly recommend.

    The Kenwood has been providing a warm and supportive community for my brother. He has felt comfortable, safe and well-cared for through the pandemic and local unrest.
