  1. Excellent place to eat “Mongolian Style”. Stopped for a late lunch. Prices are cheaper for the standard “unlimited-trip” meal before 4pm. Posted signs noted short staffing, but no issues while we were there. As noted in other reviews, you do walk through the food line to get to the restroom. It was not very busy at 3pm on a Thursday so there was no issue for our visit. Will definitely be back.

  2. Pretty good Food Lots of different choices to make your own plate Kids also enjoy building their own mail and then watching them cook And if you ask they will make a big flame and the kids really get a good kick out of that

  3. Food is always good- fresh vegetables and amazing sauces. Crab rangoons were decent. I do not feel like my daughters or I ate $16 worth of food but it was very good so I’m willing to pay it. Waitress is the only reason I am not giving 5 ⭐️. There were only maybe 5 other occupied tables in the entire restaurant yet she never brought the soup my daughter ordered and didn’t come back to the table until we were all done eating when she filled my daughters water without saying a word. I normally tip very well but she’s lucky she even got what I did leave her.
    Waitresses earn what they are worth and I’ve had some excellent waitresses- she was NOT one of them.

  4. In today’s day and age, it’s difficult to find any place, let alone a restaurant, that has such consistently friendly staff. Even the ones hovering over the hot grill have good dispositions. The food is good, of course. Always a favorite for our family.

  5. We just spent 15.00 per person here. Granted, that price is not the worst, however, when you seen what we did, it would change your mind! We used to love eating here, the food was delicious. Today, we witnessed a server come out and dump water into each and every sauce. We are not talking about a small amount, but about a half gallon of water into EACH container of sauce. Then she mixed it up and proceeded to check the consistency of it to make sure it was not too watery. Unbelievable. We noticed before hand that my husband (who adores spicy hot) tasted the same as mine (savory) as well as our daughters (sweet). We thought maybe our sauces got mixed up on the grill, but come to find out, it’s all watered down and does not taste like anything specific. Come on HUHOT! We definitely pay enough not to have it all taste the same.

    This was my first time to this place. It was a very special treat from a best friend from high school and we’re still best friends in our 60’s!!! I was very impressed with everything. The waitress we had was great with the exception that she didn’t check back often enough as she got busier. The food was out of this world delicious, and I had sushi for the first time in my life! The tempura shrimp was incredibly delicious and so was the crystal shrimp. I will definitely be going back to this place again!

    Very upset with our lunch today! Always heard good things and we are all very disappointed! Very small portions and had multiple missing items. This was definitely not worth the price! We all had high hopes. Won’t order from Ginger Roots again.

    I haven’t been here since they remodeled, so I honestly think it’s been a couple years. Used to be one of my favorite places. Tonight I went and ordered the shrimp and broccoli. Really disappointed, the dish came out with the broccoli, pretty much raw the shrimp were lukewarm and didn’t even seem like they were stir fried they felt like they were boiled. The waitress was quite nice took it back got me another one, unfortunately, it wasn’t any better than the previous one I sent back. I felt bad, I didn’t see any point to telling the waitress It wasn’t good. I took it home and hope somebody here will want to eat it. Really disappointing. I’m adding to this review after I read what was posted from the management. They did give me a 20% off the dish, which was three dollars and some cents. The replacement was not better. I felt bad for the waitress and was not going to complain again because I find it embarrassing. A manager did not come out and talk to me which I would’ve thought would be standard practice. I just wanted to clarify that.

    I came here for dinner with friend of mine and was blown away for the first time in a long time. The customer service is wonderful. The food was really really good and the red velvet cheesecake was just awesome. I will definitely come back here often to try some more of their great menu items.

    Just had lunch, just me and the hubby. Our first time here. It was VERY VERY GOOD..I’d give it a 10 star if I could. I had the GR Chicken which was spicy but the perfect spice, not burn your sinuses spice. Hubby had the combo and he loved it just as much. Shrimp and chicken both were fresh and juicy. Presentation was fantastic. Service was on top, very friendly. I have nothing bad to say about GingeRootz. You should definitely give this place a try!

    Great food. Fun vibe. Helpful staff. The ramen was great and satisfying. Broth was good. The Pad Thai is one of the best I’ve had. The sauce has a nice consistency and flavor. Also had the bulgogi tacos. Very unique crossover. Highly recommend trying it.

    It’s a very cute place with a fun vibe. The service was excellent. The food was delicious but it wasn’t extremely authentic. The Beef Bulgogi Tacos were damn good and I’ll be back for them again. The Drunken Udon Noodles were cooked perfectly and flavorful but not something I would order again. They were just a bit boring. The portions are large enough to share.

    Sho Yee ramen was okay; a little greasy, nothing to write home about. The crab rangoons were okay. Food came out very quickly (hadn’t yet finished the appetizer) but I had to ask for more water. Very quick to give us our bill (we weren’t even done eating), and we felt rushed to leave. I might come back to try something else, but I won’t get the ramen again.

    The Thong Kotsu ramen is good, has an excellent creamy flavor that makes it so good. The Tom Yum Yummy ramen is also good, if you like a little kick of spicy this one might be a good one for you. I was a little disappointed in the Beef Bulgogi Tacos, unfortunately for me, the beef was dry and to be honest I didn’t think it had any seasoning at all. I probably won’t be getting it again, but overall this place has a great menu with good food.

    Topline: Bowl 91 is small restaurant serving up a variety of Asian foods – most notably ramen. We enjoyed our ramen bowls, kimchi fries and Japanese beers. I’d recommend it for dine-in or take-out, but watch out for the 8PM closure time. Pro: Decent ramen (we’re ramen snobs), menu has good variety, fast friendly service Con: Specifically the black garlic oil ramen was too oily – noodles and veg were good, just wouldn’t get this one again. Follow along as we try new restaurants (selected at random) across the Fox Valley every weekend!
