  1. Wow! What a wonderful place to visit!

It was open and spacious as I crossed the threshold. It’s like an airlock, to prevent escape artists, very smart!

The front desk is well lit with natural light from the ceiling (if I remember correctly), and the brightly colored hair of the employees let me know that I was in the right place!

It’s obvious that everybody there truly cares about the animals.

I felt kindred spirits as I described how our first cat, Toni, had come from this shelter, and is now thriving! They loved my stories and pictures, and that’s when “Zorro” caught my eye. I cant believe how beautiful he was, and he wanted to meet me ASAP.

I set up a meeting with him, and didn’t leave the building until I knew he was coming home with me.

Baldr is his new name, and he’s a glorious floof. We call him “Baldy” when he’s acting up!

I’m sure that I’ll be back soon. Thanks again!!

  2. Found a stray cat last December 2022. Brought her for veterinary check-up, and informed staff member of our intention to adopt her. We were told that the cat had a microchip and will call the registered owner. They were informed that the cat was lost more than 5 years ago and she can no longer care for her because of the owners condition. Since an owner has been identified, we were given 5 days waiting period before we can adopt the said cat, for the meantime, SPCA will do a complete medical check up and needed vet attention. We called the office after 5 days, but was informed that the previous owner decided to keep the cat. This is a short story of a cat that was lost and found after 5 years. My wife to cried but was happy at the same time.

  3. Was really to get our dog Sassie fixed. I found out that they do discounts for Seniors 65 and over plus military. Wasn’t expecting that
Everything went great. Just happy with Sassie coming back ok

  4. Took my cats into get rabies vaccines. All the staff there including the check in, veterinarian, and check out were really sweet. Everyone seems to actually love animals unlike some other animal facilities I’ve been to. I was there all of 10 minutes, super quick and efficient which I appreciate! Highly recommend! Oh and also, very affordable. $20 per rabies shot.

  5. I found my beloved Chihuahua here. I am so grateful for him. The adoption process was easy and the fee was reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend the SSPCA to anyone who is looking to adopt.

Great staff. Helped me reunite a lost dog with their human. Several 1 year old beautiful huskies in the kennels and pit/shepherd mixed puppies. Four beautiful 10 week old puppies with blue and green eyes. Check out the pictures. Go adopt these precious souls.

This little guy happened to gain access to the school grounds where I currently work. I was able to spend 5 minutes and knew he was coming home with me. Shortly after Animal Control came to pick up this pup and I informed A.C. I wanted and was taking him home. A.C took him and said the dog needed to be checked for chip and his information would be uploaded to the system to allow the owners to claim him. I immediately found him online with the help of a representative and followed through their 3 to 5 day process. On day until he became available to adopt just for the shelter to tell me sorry first come first serve and was placed in foster care with the chance of adoption. I was definitely misled by A.C this is not right… I hope this dog does go to a good home. I will never go to a shelter again. Just not right * Plus* The person who helped me today was awesome person. And the pup he showed us was cute and gentle but not the reason why I went in the first place.

I am so grateful to the people at Front Street. I am very grateful for the work they do. I was able to participate in Spay Day 2023 and finally able to have my cat Sam neutered. These people are awesome!!!

I went there to see if my son’s Fur Baby was at the shelter and the staff here were very helpful and caring and explained which site it is to continue my such for our stolen Fur Baby. While there I did notice that they do offer donated items for pets, which I felt touched by seeing as many people can not afford some of the things they are willing to give to pets. That to me shows a lot of compassion 🐶🥰

It sucked road apples. I was so disappointed with the entire place. Let me clarify. People are cool, it’s clean and they are helping animals. Ha! Yesterday I took my niece and her kitten there. Zoe the kitten had gotten out and went missing for a few days. When she got home it was found her back leg had been snapped in two. All the way through. Major gash where her bone seems to have forced itself out of her leg. You could see inside her leg bone. I know this baby was in mass amounts of pain. Since my niece nor I could afford surgery she decided to surrender the kitten instead of suffering and she could have the needed medical help she desperately needed . Zoe didn’t complain once. Took my niece there and they wouldn’t take the kitten. Some b.s. about apply for this credit card and if denied we will help you…..tomorrow! So this kitten suffered all night long in pain. That is not acceptable. I’m very very upset I will never donate, visit or adopt from them again.

Beautiful modern hygienic Animal Center. We went there to donate blankets and we ended up adopting a 6-pounder terrier.

We started at Bradshaw as foster dog parents, but we ended up loving our foster so much that we adopted him. We have been to Bradshaw several times to meet different dogs, and we ALWAYS have a good experience here. The shelter staff is great, and they really make an effort to match you to dogs that make sense for your family. We have NOT always had positive experiences trying to foster with other local shelters and have actually been treated like we’re wasting their time by “just being fosters” (I won’t name names….) We appreciate everything Bradshaw does.

Everyone was super sweet and really nice. They help me find my new doggie. I would totally adopt from this shelter again

Long story short– I took a stray dog there that was injured and they denied me because they said they stop taking in dogs at 4:00 (it was 4:12 when I arrived) even though the lady I spoke to on the phone said they stopped at 4:30. The lady with the glasses and lip piercing at the door was very rude and had a tone. I called back the lady on the phone and she was extremely helpful and kind, she got the supervisor on the phone and they sent some people out to come help me and take the dog. Overall the experience was okay and I really hope they were able to provide that dog with the medical help it needed!

A lot of pets in the kennel. Staff not really wanting someone to adopt. I mean, take time to show the animal and talk about its traits. Don’t stand at the counter and belittle the customer in front of a coworker. I realize it’s what is best for the pet in a new environment. But it is also up to the adoptive parents.
