  1. I had a chance to visit their new facility today at 217 Landing, and it looks amazing. The education program is very robust, and the staff is doing wonderful things to support animal well-being and increase awareness in our community for people of all ages. I was afraid it would be heartbreaking to see all the animals that need homes, but I left feeling very positive after seeing the animals well cared for and with a lot of opportunities to interact with people if the animals were willing. They have an excellent temporary home at the refuge. Please continue to support the fantastic work they do there.

You help an animal find a home, while supporting an amazing non-profit organization dedicated to helping animals have another chance in life. Very kind and knowledgeable staff, great experience, and beautiful animals waiting for you to take them home.

  3. adopted Kettle on 5-12 from the Animal refuge league. The whole process was super easy with Pete. we told them what dog we were interested in and we started the process of meeting with her and introducing our other dog to her. Kettle is adjusting very well to her new home and is making great progress

  4. Very well run. Nice and clean, pets for adoption are well cared for. I got a great older cat who turned out to be a perfect fit in our household. The staff were very helpful as we decided on which kitty to pick.

  5. Upon receiving more information about Mason from my post and getting a better understanding of his situation it seems the care they have for the cat is all well 🙂 I was worried a bit about the lil guy but I’m glad they are doing their best to support him. ARLGP is a wonderful place. ❤️

    Well stocked with pet supplies. Not a fan of selling reptiles to people who have no idea how to care for them. Lots of live aquatic plants, fish and aquarium supplies. Disappointed that they never reopened the self serve dog wash after Covid closed it.

    Ok pet store. A little small with a limited selection, but decent. The cat section is rather limited, especially compared to other Petco locations. Staff is very nice and willing to assist.

    This is a well stocked petco that we got our ferret from. No problem with her at all. But the worker that helped us seemed irritated that we were asking questions. But I also went to the fish department and the worker there seemed alot more patient and seemed to know his stuff. So it seems hit or miss

    Please share – my grandmother purchased 2 / 30lb bags of whole hearted dog food from Petco in south portland Maine – she told them she found these bugs in the dog food and wanted either a refund or gift card for a different dog food to which the worker said if she didn’t have her receipt she couldn’t do anything. My grandmother used a gift card so I’m very aware that they can look this up especially since she told her the time date and event when she was there. My nana has also reached out to them via email with no response and attempted to call with no return calls . I’m hoping my friends/family and other animal owners share this to get them blasted on social media to do the right thing! As well as check other Batches to ensure other animal safety.

    Not a very big store but its wall to wall animal stuff. Didnt have a chance to look around was on a mission to get a collar my dog snapped hers inhalf when she spotted a chipmunk lol no one asked if I needed any help. and there were 3 people in there working. But I was cashed out by a very nice clerk. Kind of pricey.
