What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Love all the employees. We come here weekly for training and our stubborn Teddy Roosevelt Rat Terrier actually listened to the trainer. The trainer was like a magic man. She helped us through everything. Also just shopping is great, very clean for a pet store. Everything has it’s place! Plus the animals are super cute!

  2. Our little Babou, aka Bob, comes home from his grooming session with Taylor with a pep in his step and he has to strut past his brother Buddy as if to say ‘Don’t I look handsome, I got a hair cut and you didn’t. Thank you Taylor for being so good at grooming and for treating our little boy with such care and love. See you next time,

  3. Great Place. Everyone treats Bugsy Like he’s a celebrity and fight to get a chance to groom him or even pet him. Every single employee stops what their doing to come over and say hi. Thank you all for loving Bugsy the way you do.

  4. The vet center is a joke and clearly did not care about my dogs health. I was 7 minutes late because of a storm and the “Vet” refused to see him because of my tardiness. I asked to please see him because his skin is irritated and he’s scratching a lot! And they still didn’t care. I’ve been a customer for years with Petco and I’ll be sure to switch.

Response back to owner: Not good enough. I was treated poorly for no good reason. I walked in with a smile on my face and apologized profusely for my tardiness. Explained the highway was slow during the thunderstorm and you turned us away. It was not only embarrassing, but upsetting because my puppy was in pain. I asked you to reconsider because of his pain and you still said no. I canceled my account with Petco.

  5. Went here to pickup prescription food. Veterinary area was closed for lunch. Had to wait an hour to just get approved for food. They should take turns for lunch if they want to make more sales. Seen others leave because they didn’t want to wait. I won’t wait again. This is the last time I will get a new prescription filled here.

Great staff! We went in to look at the dogs and found the perfect one to adopt. He is such a big lovable baby. His name was Dad, but we changed it to Bandit. The staff was amazing and made the adoption process very easy. Wish I had more room and the financial ability to adopt more. So many great dogs there that need loving homes.

Went here looking to adopt a small dog. Well like they say . U don’t choose the dog the dog chooses you . Couldn’t be happier you choose us as your forever family ! WELCOME HOME SIRENA !!! ( known as wiggles @ the shelter )

Staff were wonderful. They handle a tough and often thankless job with aplomb and do the absolute best they can. A rather odd circumstance was met with a can-do attitude that ultimately has led to a sweet doggo getting a happy home to call his own.

Almost a month ago I adopted my first ever kitten Raquel (who I renamed Nala) and she was the youngest kitten there at the time (4m). Meeting her she was incredibly shy and in a corner away from the other cats. After having her for about two weeks she completely warmed up and is super affectionate and wild. Wouldn’t have asked for a better companion.

*Do not trust this low cost clinic* I never thought that taking my 9 month old kitten to a low cost clinic to be spayed would mean losing her forever. We waited 4 months on the wait list to have our kitten spayed. The day finally came on May 4th 2023. Our kitten was dazed immediately after surgery but we didn’t think much about it for the first 48 hours assuming she was still coming off of the anesthesia. By the third day she still hadn’t eaten and needed assistance to drink water. I attempted to call the clinic but it was a Monday and the clinic was closed so I left a voicemail. My voicemail was promptly returned the following day around 11AM. The gentleman who returned the call insisted that her behavior and illness could have nothing to do with surgery and offered to bring her in before 2pm that day. I explained how ill she was and that I feared that she might be dying. His response was that if she was that ill then we might need to take her to a full service clinic. I made an appt with a full service clinic for Wednesday. At this point our kitten still hadn’t eaten since the day before her surgery about 5 days ago. She was skin and bones with little life left in her. The full service clinic we brought her to advised an x-ray and blood work to rule out other illness. The blood work came back great other than signs of dehydration and inflammation. The x-ray showed excessive gas trapped in her intestines indicating a blockage in her intestines due to intestines being ligated. At this point we were advised that she needed IV fluids and surgery to repair the blockage. With just the blood work x-ray and fluids it cost us $650. We knew we wouldn’t be able to afford the surgery which would have been more than $1000. The vet informed us that we had the option of relinquishing our rights of our pet and someone else was willing to adopt and pay for her to have surgery. At this point we had to make the decision to either euthanize her or relinquish her. Ultimately, we made the decision to relinquish her I hopes that she would make it through the surgery and live. Our pet suffered 7 days of pain and came near death due to the careless work of vet who performed her spay. She should be ashamed of the work that she did. In the words of another vet a spay is a straightforward and this should have never happened. We needlessly lost our pet because of this and are devastated by our loss. We thought she would be safe under the care of the humane society but we were severely wrong. We thought we were saving money by bringing her here which is why we didn’t mind the wait but ultimately the $80 spay cost us $730 and our kitten who we loved so much. It should have never come to this.

Took our fur baby here to get spayed , they took very good care of her , even wrapped her up with bandaging so she couldn’t lick the incision area ..Very affordable, highly recommended.. Our baby has healed since and doing Wonderfully..

I love how kind the staff is here! They are so nice to my 8 year old pitbull, Tiki- it’s great. Because getting her to go inside for her 3 year rabies/distemper shots & a mail clip is do hard! That 65 lb, scared as can be, dog was not wanting to be there!

I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place. They also took special care not to just allow people to come & go, as to protect the animals. We wanted to visit the cat room, so we had to wait for staff to unlock the door & gave us simple rules to go by . Which cat’s were approachable & such. The place was very busy & staff was on it.
